I really wanted to give it four stars due to the view and childhood nostalgia but unfortunately I cannot. We were greeted nicely and sat at a beautiful table outdoors with ocean views. Unfortunately the food and service were not matching the atmosphere. We ordered a Caesar salad and mango salad. I asked for no dressing in the Caesar and was brought only romaine lettuce and a few croutons. No shredded cheese as was on the menu. Ok no problem but it took us getting up to find someone to bring some. It wasn't full so it was more disappointing that the service was slow. The food was delicious and the portions were noticeably larger than what you usually get with a Miami Spice menu, which made the experience feel more generous and worthwhile. The only good thing is the view if you can't catch a table with one after waiting 30 to 45 minutes on top of the $14 valet parking charges subpar food makes this not a great choice! The seafood tower was twice the price of Garcia's and half of the quality. Ducked off of the Rickenbacker Causeway, it's contemporary casual, located on the water with amazing views of the pier, yachts & intracoastal waterway We came here for a midday lunch, it was fairly steady, the staff was gracious and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered shrimp cocktail and ceviche to start, with a glass of Rosè, then the whole local snapper as the entree. The ceviche was delicious although it should've came with more plantain chips. The snapper on the other hand was so bland, I was highly disappointed. The presentation was beautiful, the temp and texture perfect - but the whole plate including the risotto lacked flavor. It felt like I was just eating to be eating but not tasting. So for the food, I'd give it a 3/5. Ok the Pelican has clearly had a major glow-up with their food. We've always relied on the Rusty Pelican for special occasions like Easter, birthdays etc and while what we always loved was the view, the food was always just ok, but NOW it's exceptional. After exploring the seafood tower on Christmas Eve, I was shocked by the quality of the seafood and the generous amount for the price. It was so good, I insisted on going back for our 10 year wedding anniversary. And they made sure it was special for us, securing a table with a view, greeting us with a sweet card and even treating us to glasses of bubbly when we turned down dessert. I have to give a special shout out to their baked potato with truffle and caviar, easily one of the most delicious things I've eaten in Miami in a long time. read more

I still had fond memories of them making a salad table side in a wooden bowl pouring the dressing & tossing it, w/ added baby shrimp. Parking is valet only! The view of the Miami Skyline, still remains one of the best. The food CHILEAN SEA BASS Smoked Sweet Plantain Mash, Grilled Anaheim Pepper, Mango and Papaya Salsa was very very small fillet of fish & the mash plantain was overly sweet at $50 a plate it was not a choice I would make again. My boyfriend took me to this restaurant for my birthday, and it was an incredible experience, largely thanks to our waiter, Joshua. He was super attentive, making our visit both fun and relaxed. Joshua had a great sense of timing, maintaining eye contact so we could easily order drinks or ask for help without any delay. Front of the house is pitiful. Had a reservation at 7:00pm, did not get seated until 7:42pm. The entire time during the delay, the front house was very dismissive and rude. When asked for an update they responded "everyone has reservations." No apologies or anything of the kind for the front staff service that took longer than the return of Jesus Christ himself. Back of the house staff is nice. That said, no water put at the table until 8:27pm. Our orders were not taken until this point either (so an hour and 27mins into being seated). We had to ask for another wine glass 3 times for someone at our table. You can be nice, but certainly not slow and unintentional with your efforts. McDonald's has more hustle than these people. Kitchen outperformed everything. It is hard to do wrong even in your own kitchen when you serve steak and fried seafood, but it's still very good. Overall, dinner was longer than a Monday, even with fantastic company. It's two stars just because of the food. Every other aspect stunk worse than the paper mill. My table wants to order dessert, my phone will probably die before staff comes to take the order and the dish arrives, so this is the review. Y'all take care, bye bye read more

Everything was incredible! Rusty Pelican lives up to the hype. We chose our table by the window inside because the day was a little rainy and the view was amazing! Our service was great from beginning to end, we weren't rushed at all. We started with the cornbread which was so good. The short rib empanadas were one of the highlights of the night. The snapper was perfectly done and so flavorful, as well as the lobster and shrimp risotto. Everything we tried was delicious. The view is definitely stunning but the food is great as well! The only thing great about this place is the view! First you should know going in there is no self park. If you self park they still charge you $10 if you park valet or not. And they take it upon themselves to take a $2 without asking. The food is over the top expensive without the food being that great. We had such a nice time going to happy hour at the Rusty Pelican! The one knock on the place is they only have valet parking and it's nine dollars for the cheapest option. But the restaurant itself is a really nice vibe, decorated beautifully and an open concept that lets you see the bay and the city; outdoor seating is also plentiful and comes with terrific views. The bartender was just super friendly and helpful with everything on the menu; the sliders and charcuterie were our favorites. We also had a couple of really nice drinks and were invited to go outside and walk around. Happy hour pricing is also really decent. It's always a good time for brunch. Had brunch with a friend and we decided to try Rusty Pelican. We had a reservation and it still took about 25 minutes for us to be seated. There was a bit of some seating arrangement issues at first but it eventually got sorted out. We started out with the bottomless mimosas. It was dope that there were different flavors for this bottomless mimosas. By far the favorite was the dragonfruit and watermelon mimosa. We started off with the calamari that was delicious. Crispy and golden and fried to perfection. I ordered the crab cake Benedict as my entree that came with a side of potatoes. The crab cake Benedict was delicious.
