Went to a party yesterday a girl that works there was extremely rude and did not care to show it. She seemed very annoyed, because he was cleaning after the party was over which is her job to do, but everyone at the party was also helping clean up the mess. I don't know what it was but that really gassy stomach grumbling feeling all day thru the next was very uncomfortable. Now the health dept closes em down. I was in here just 4 days ago. Public Health confirms that Rusty's Pizza on Olive Drive was closed due to rodent infestation and other violations. Health officials observed a live rat behind carbon dioxide tanks in the soda storage room. They also saw debris buildup under cooking equipment and refrigeration units, a dirty floor drain near the cash register where the soda machine was draining to, and according to a pest control invoice a rodent was found in the kitchen and dining area. Rodent droppings were also found throughout the facility. The restaurant will remain closed until further notice. read more

I've ordered from this establishment several times, I liked it because it's the only place that delivers to the Gossomer Grove Community and it's very convenient. However, I placed an order online for dinner. My children and I have had to quarantine due to covid. The order I placed with my correct address as I usually do. Was supposedly incorrect on their end according to the employee's as well as the supervisor on duty, Sara. My order had to be canceled, money refunded 3-5 business days, due to a "glitch in their system". What was appalling to me was the supervisor's "Sara's";attitude. She actually laughed, instead of offering a sincere apology or a complimentary side for the inconvenience overall. Being in the management field, I don't understand the level of ignorance. Starving and pregnant, I decided to order pizza due to exhaustion, among laziness and other things. Normally, we take and bake from Papa Murphy's, and let me tell you, we should have just driven down the street and grabbed one instead of ordering Rusty's. Rusty's pizza used to be good, 15 years ago. Today, not so much. Our pizza arrived in the specified time frame, but the pizza was straight up BURNED, and the order of wedges consisted of 4 of the tiniest, over-fried pieces of potato that you'd ever seen. Luckily our wings were edible, because as I said, pregnant and starving. We called Rusty's back and they resent the "entire order," only for it to arrive, missing the sub par wings. The sauce is sweet, and frankly, gross. Overall, We ended up throwing $40 of pizza goods in the trash. It was so disgusting and awful that my husband didn't even want to take the leftovers for lunch the next day. A family of two could have lived off of a large pizza for a few days.... in this case, it was $40 of "a few bites" of pizza, and my pregnant belly had to find something else to eat in the fridge, anyways. Tonight I ordered a medium pizza from a wonderful person on the other end named Jade. I got home realized I wanted wedges to my order so I called and added and no problem. Upon delivery the ranches and peppers I ordered on the side had accidentally busted during transport. I should have got her name but she went all the way back and brought me fresh ones plus a couple more. And that right there is service! I loved Rusty's when I was younger, but kind of fell out of that phase when other pizzerias starting popping up around Rosedale. I hadn't eaten at Rusty's in many years, so I figured I would try them out a week ago. Oh-My-Goodness, it was like heaven in my mouth. I ordered the large pepperoni and sausage on their thin crust. This was easily the greatest pizza I have had in town. The pricing was very reasonable and the delivery time was incredible. The driver's all seem very friendly as well. I am not from Bakersfield but ate at Rustys Pizza Parlor as part of an event that I was attending. Rustys pizza parlor has a great banquet room that easily fits around 50 people. This is a great way to host an event when you need a large room. The pizza was ok, I mean when is pizza ever not good. I do recommend that you try the potato wedges as an appetizer though. Pizza was cold and half the toppings were missing on half the pizza. Called and they refunded the wedges and the tip. So I don't like giving you em the slightest negative review, so I'll start with the good. Their pizza is really good. They cook the crust PERFECTLY! They can be pricey, but your pizza is going to be better than a standard pizza chain. Also, they have one of those soda machines with all the flavors. However, this specific location has a couple issues that stood out to me. First of all, their dine in salad is self serve. In a pandemic. It didn't look dirty, but they also had it right next to where people are lined up to order, increasing the time people are close to the salad bar. Next, their dining area was sloppy. All the benches were lopsided and high chairs were carelessly placed. The tables weren't wiped down. They had empty boxes stacked in the dining area that were meant for recycling. They had stuff on their counter. At first I thought it was a delivery but it sat the entire time I was there. When I sat down I noticed that there were trays left from someone else in the booth next to mine. While I waited my food, several workers went to take breaks but the trays were left. I also heard yelling in the back. I don't know if they were having an argument or were excited but the tone sounded negative. I bit of time went by and the other booth next to me left. So now, there are two unbussed tables. I then heard an employee complain about a delivery not give her a tip?!?! How rude! I did have a really sweet lady bring me my pizza, which was good. That lady seemed to be one of the only ones on top of things. Anyways, I was there for quite a bit to eat my food and when I left I was the third unbussed table with no sign of them coming to take care of it. Due to this I had to lower their rating. The restaurant is clean and has ample seating, especially for parties. Negative: The pizza is terrible. I would put it on a similar level to Chuck E. Cheese. If you are planning a birthday party for kids, this place would work well. If you want good pizza, try another restaurant. We have been ordering pizza from them for many years (20+). It is my favorite all time pizza. Yes it's pricy but it's so so good. We always order thin crust pepperoni. It's greasy and cheesy and I love their red sauce. We also always order the wedges and hot wings. My youngest son loves the wings, just be careful the hottest sauce is pretty hot and will burn but it's good. Their chicken is always very well made and crispy and it comes with more wedges. We get coupons in the mail all the time for a $13.00 large pepperoni and like $2 off a large and $2 off a medium. We expect to spend $70 with tip, delivery fee, and taxes. But that is usually for the large pepperoni, large wedges, small buffalo wings, and 3 piece chicken and wedges. It's more than enough food for 5 people with plenty of leftovers. And we don't have to leave the house. Oh and the person who takes our order is always very friendly and quick. Every delivery driver is very nice and we usually have our food within 35 minutes or less even when they say they are busy and it will be longer. read more

Better than Pizza Hut, Better than Dominos, Better than Papa Johns. I can't say its the best pizza I have ever eaten but its up there with the best of em. Pizza: Crust has a decent crunch at the bottom but the center dough is moist and cooked perfectly. Sauce is more of a paste so you get the tomato and not too much in the way of a marinara after taste. Pepperoni has a nice crunch and just enough cheese. Garlic Bread: I personally love the Garlic Bread, my wife on the other hand doesn't care for the big pieces of real garlic. Its closer to a Papa Johns bread stick but with softer bread and the Garlic just sets them off. I ate the whole thing. Potato Wedges: I ordered the regular (there smallest size) thinking it would be plenty with the rest I ordered. A Regular consists of 5 or 6 wedges. I was not happy with the amount for the price but the taste made up for it. Crunchy on the outside and soft where it counts. Staff: I called and spoke to Connie who was very pleasant to speak with. She happily took my order with a positive attitude which made my experience even that much better. Overall: If you want great pizza at a good price I would highly recommend giving Rusty's a try. My wife works on Olive so we have been here often. Sometimes we get it to go, but the Rusty's product needs to be very fresh, sometimes the delivery takes away from the quality. Anyhow the people at the telephone exchange have been pleasant enough, as have the people working in the store. In a sea of cheap, inferior pizzas not even as good as a frozen product, Rusty's stands out in quality, but you will pay the price. I've probably only had one or two times where the pizza wasn't great in all the years I've ordered from them. The one time they really messed up my order, they went out of their way to fix it and actually brought back the missing items. Maybe you'll find a pizza with a little bit of extra char on it but I like originality and personal flavor given to a meal of great proportions. Workers shuffle into the mix; the guys are totally at their mark in presentation of food and there's nothing like eating a wonderful cashew while giving the soda cup another reason for biting on delicious items in life: there's a Coca-Cola machine inside with lots of flavors for drinks including cream soda and proper assortments of treating yourself. Lobbies in general do have a nice charm to them once they've aged over the years or so. Here, the lobby has a nice brown in the atmosphere with little tokens of appreciation decorated here and there under the warm and comfortable roof. Sure, it's not summer, but it's winter with passion. Rusty's serves plenty of sandwiches that can give bite to sides like potato wedges and a thing or two from the salad bar. Cashews tend to have interesting flavors once they've hit the pizza oven in likable texture and heat only Rusty's provides. Delivery happens rather quickly for a pizza joint like this one and I've found my family in complete satisfaction for dealing on such matters of taste against the clock we're always hurrying up on within grasp of tidiness and business for ourselves. A lot of specialty pizzas fill the menu and the cashier was kind enough overtime to let me know of those choices since technology may leave us at a loss for words despite the chance for advancing on meals while on the rush. Plates are clean, napkins are ready, and good scenery is witnessed. Rusty's is higher above Domino's in different aspects even if I'm sure Domino's competes on Hawaiian pizza and assortments of pasta, salads, chicken wings, etc. Let me tell you something more though. Kindness and security of goods let workers at Rusty's fulfill demands as far as I've seen them go hand in hand with emotions subtle to the look. Dreaming big things often goes along for the ride in their terms on conduct and privilege within reason of fortune understood by customers like myself to be vivid and remarkable through such phrases as "Will this be for here?" or "Would you like to add cashews?" and such. Good lunch place. Personal size pizza, potato wedges, and soda around $6. For $7, it's a pizza with salad bar and soda. I came in around 12:30 p.m. for lunch and it wasn't too busy. The decor is nice - there's some booth seating and bench seating and it was clean. I ordered a personal size thin crust pizza with three toppings and potato wedges. The pizza came on a dinner size paper plate in about 15 minutes. I thought the pizza had a little too much cheese but, it was good and fresh. The wedges were ok (the slices were cut too big) and piping hot! I burned my tongue but hey, that was my fault for stuffing myself with hot wedges since I was sooooo hungry. I wasn't too thrilled with the wedges - I'm getting the salad next time. They have a soda fountain where you get your own refills. Overall, good food at a good price point. Watched the workers argue about cooking and waited. At 7:32 I had to ask for my money back as my pizza sat there getting cold. And THEN I was told "sorry for the delay our fryer isn't working properly". As I watch a customer come back up with mushy wedges. REALLY ? I don't normally write reviews... But my boyfriend insisted and it was truly just that good!!! We stopped in last night on our way home to LA from a long weekend in Yosemite, hungry and tired all we wanted was a good quick meal not too far off the freeway so we could easily get back on the road home. Not only was it that, but the pizza was some of the best we had!! Staff was super friendly and we even got to play some video games while we waited for our food. I honestly don't remember that last time I sat and ordered a whole pizza, at a real deal pizza parlor, but I think I need to do it more often!! Best pit stop ever!!!!!
