Came for a birthday so this was his choice. I did make a reservation and noted the celebration. Seated right away with the server verbally telling us the specials. I personally like to see it on paper so I can view ingredients but Im going with the flow. The service is a stand out here. Started with garlic bread bites. Server indicated there is a light blue cheese drizzle that they actually drizzle at the table. Neither of us are big fans of blue cheese and made sure to tell her when she started. She said its very mild n not overpowering. It was not mild n it was overpowering. I love love bread n I only ate one square. French onion soup was good per the man. I wanted the chicken special but when I said Ididn't care for peppers the server said she didn't recommend it then. Not sure why peppers couldn't be removed? but I took her advice and chose shrimp instead. Shrimp n mashed potatoes for me. Lamb chops n some type of potatoes for him. It was fine. At the price point($200 for 2) I was expecting more than fine. They did bring him a bday dessert but as she stated they don't sing happy birthday. Ok then. Stashed the leftovers in the car and went next door for beers n bday shots. More my speed. I would come back if its someone else's choice

Only my second time here- always good food. Our waitress was nice. Staff are always friendly but not too professional / friendly where it seems fake which i find refreshing. Gave a 4 star because my food wasn't that hot coming out- seems like it sat for a tad before getting brought out. Also lacked any flavor definitely needed some salt / seasoning. Still good even with not being hot! Also the table next to us had their phone propped up on FaceTime out loud so that did take away from my experience not that the restaurant is at fault for that. Would definitely be back but this is higher scale so pricing reflects that expect to spend $50+ a person depending what you get!

We had a reservation and arrived just early. The place was full. It is nicely organized and clean. We were eventually seated near our reservation time. Nichole was our server and did an excellent job. She checked in frequently and made sure we had everything we wanted. The food was very good. We shared some appetizers. The whipped feta and carpaccio were both excellent. Some of our dishes are shown and everyone was very pleased with their meals.

Kathryn was amazing. We arrived a little late for our reservation but they were able to seat us right away. I ordered the Brussels sprouts to start. They were delicious. I ordered the 14oz strip and it was amazing. The creamed corn was awesome. The old fashion was unbelievable.

We arrived to find the place absolutely packed--turns out it was prom night, and the wait time was three hours. Thankfully, John, the General Manager, went above and beyond to accommodate us. He managed to work us in within 10 minutes by rearranging a few things. We let him know we'd be done in an hour, and he agreed. Just five minutes later, he came back over and told us to take our time, which we really appreciated. The food? Absolutely incredible. Chef Jeff clearly has a deep passion for his craft--you can taste it in every bite. The portions were generous (some of the best we've seen in years) and the price points were more than fair. The entire staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highlights of the night: The best pasta I've ever had--shrimp, fresh tomato, garlic butter, and a panko crust topped with a rich butter sauce. A perfectly cooked pork chop with mushrooms and collard greens. A refreshing raspberry mocktail. A classic, delicious dirty Shirley--simple and tasty. And don't even get me started on the deviled eggs... amazing! We truly loved our time here and can't wait to return. Huge thanks to John for making it happen--next time we'll definitely call ahead! Five stars all around.

Went here for a birthday celebration and everyone was so nice. They all signed a birthday card that was on the table when we got there. Got there a little early so we started with a drink at the bar. The smoked olive is a must get. The olives were the best I've ever had. Still thinking about them. We got seated in a room that looks like it could hold a private dinner party. For dinner we got the mussels for an app. So good. Dipped the bread in the sauce. Comes with a lot. A good shareable. Since it was a first time we wanted to try the steaks. We got the filet with butter add on. We also added on brussel sprouts and polenta. Filet was cooked to perfection. Polenta was creamy and sprouts had a good char. This review is getting too long but we just had the best time and the service made it even better. Cannot wait to go back to try the rest of the menu.

The food is certainly outstanding and they have a signature crabcake that cannot be beaten. But prior restaurants in that location have had good food. It's the People. All of the staff seem to have wonderful energy. They are positive, engaging and seems like they really want to serve and give a great customer experience. They do that. Very well. It has an upscale, big city buzz without all the pretense. Pricey, but far from shocking. Very nicely done.

We've been a few times now, and I would say the food is consistently very good. There have only been a couple of misses. And one time when the waiter dropped a bunch of glass on my husband. The owners are very hands-on as are the managers. They take a lot of pride in the work that they're doing, and it shows in their social media marketing and in the food that they present. I've never had an ugly meal at The Standard. And I crave their veal parm constantly.

I came here for a solo date and was wowed by everything this restaurant has to offer. They had a wonderful cocktail and food menu, but all the while the staff was amazing. I sat at the bar and ordered the Trophy Wife featured cocktail. The taste was fruity and balanced perfectly. For food I ordered the mussels and the beet salad. Both were absolutely devine. The flavor of the mussels were perfect and the bread it came with had the perfect crunch to soak in the sauce. The beet salad came with rock course salt, balsamic, pomegranate seeds and whipped goat cheese. It has every flavor needed to make his dish a great salad. For dessert, I ordered an affogato of course. If anyplace offers an affogato, I order it. But this one came with an orange liquor/digestif. The meal was amazing. The bartender and manager were checking in with all tables and always offering assistance. I cannot talk highly about this place enough. Amazing.

9.5/10 Great upscale Restaurant. I recommend for Date nights or Adult Nights. I wouldn't really recommend for children. The setting is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The food was great! The drinks were great and pretty strong! Service was everything. Very very Welcoming! A must Try!

It was our first time visiting The Standard and we loved it! We sat at the bar with a friend as we didn't have reservations. It was a busy Wednesday night during the holidays! We ordered the pan fried feta cheese that comes with garlic bread. It was amazing flavors and the garlic bread is perfectly crunchy. For dinner, my husband had the shrimp which he devoured. All the flavors worked well together. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs which come with 3 good sized meatballs separately in a bowl and then the spaghetti twirled about in a long plate, love a good presentation! It was spicy but delicious. The bartenders provided excellent service and even though they were busy, we didn't have to wait long for anything. I'm excited to return to try something else and a cocktail!

The food here was phenomenal! Absolutely delicious the steak was slightly undercooked but not too big a deal. The cocktails were boozy and tasty. I got the miso sea bass which was absolutely delicious. The spinach & mashed potatoes came with the fish but since we were sharing everything we requested ours plated separate which they were happy to accommodate. The sea bass is probably the best I have ever had, it was that good! The service was amazing! I would definitely make a reservation this place was packed and for good reason.

After the shareable alone, I knew I'd be adding Cooper's Hawk as one of my favorite brunch spots as well! As always, the whole team at Cooper's Hawk go out of their way to give you the best possible experience, and they always have the best recommendations! The Applewood Smoked Bacon Pizza is by far the absolute best breakfast pizza I've ever had! I'm a big pesto fan & the fresh slightly acidic bursts from the oven roasted tomatoes when you take a bite is awesome! One of my go-to's if dining out for breakfast is a scramble or hash; the smoked brisket hash is a MUST! It's extra cheesy & the smoked brisket alone is unreal!! If you like breakfast on the sweeter side, the Hawaiian Bread French Toast is a great pick! I love all the berries & the berry sauce with it! You have to try it all!!

We had a reservation for 6pm and the lobby area was already packed on a Saturday. If you're familiar with the Cooper's Hawk chain, it's about wine, a cool, mostly upscale casual ambiance and generally great food. Upon entering, there is a long bar for wine tasting and also opportunities to purchase wine-related decanters, glasses and (of course!) wine! We buzzed straight through that area to check in for our reservation. And I definitely recommend a reservation unless you want to hang out for a while tasting various wines before being seated. Anyway, our reserved booth was ready right on time and was very comfortable. The restaurant was pretty busy and yet we were promptly greeted by Dante' our server. He brought us each two complimentary wine tastings before taking our wine order. He also answered questions about the menu and brought us hot pretzel bread. The atmosphere in the restaurant was on the loud side because it was so busy and at times it was difficult to hear Dante' or to converse in general. We didn't order appetizers because we knew the entrees would be substantial. In the current economy, it wasn't surprising to see that prices had definitely increased since the last visit. A glass of wine was $11 for house wine and entree's ranged in price based on whatever you chose to order. My friend ordered the Chicken Madeira, which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I ordered the Ellie's Chicken Piccata with pasta, which I've enjoyed on past visits, and also added a side of asparagus. Both my friend and I enjoyed our first couple of bites. My friend found that the sauce became overwhelmingly sweet on the Chicken Madeira. I found that my entrée had way too much lemon sauce, although the chicken was perfectly cooked and tender. It was rather disappointing since I remember this entree being amazing in the past. It wasn't anything bad but too much sauce was simply too much and detracted from the meal. If I ordered it again, I would request light sauce, but that's definitely a hypothetical if... I probably would order the salmon dinner. However, I'm not really in any hurry to return. Dante' did a great job as our server and allowed us to linger as we continued to catch up with each other's lives. I would recommend this restaurant with the caveat that a Saturday night would likely be very busy in the dining room and the kitchen. Check out pictures below.

We didn't realize it at first, but Chef Marcel's wife was our server. How lucky is she to eat so well on the regular?! She was very gracious and patient in tending to our table and answering our questions. Very lovely and down-to-earth! While Chef Marcel is known for visiting with customers, he was too busy iIn the kitchen when we were there. We started with the stuffed large portobello mushroom as an appetizer. It included beets and was delicious. No picture because we were hungry, but check out photos of the rest of our dinners! I should note that my two friends enjoyed the complimentary bread and raved about it. I held out for the appetizer, but the bread looked delicious. Two of us went with the weekly special of mahi mahi, which included a salad of mixed greens. The mahi mahi was served on tortilla shells with rice, black beans and cilantro. It was a unique combination that was delicious. Our other friend opted for the chicken marsala with button mushrooms over rigatoni.. She also ordered the brussel sprouts as a side and loved them. While the desserts looked amazing, we passed tonight because our dinners left us no room for dessert! Definitely recommend this restaurant for excellent service in a comfortable ambiance and delicious food!

My husband had the salmon bisque soup and the grouper for dinner. I had a bite of the broccoli and the polenta with a taste of the grouper and it was really good with a slight kick! The grouper was meaty and mild. Of course we had to have dessert even after a bottle of prosecco! We tried the pineapple carrot cake and the chocolate Panna cotta for the second time. I highly recommend both, the pineapple is a perfect ingredient! I'm excited to see what the spring menu will bring and to return to try the Korean bbq steak and have more of the Dutch Bitterballen! They only offer wine and beer, which works for me!

This is the same exact sandwich I've gotten every time I've ever been here which is why I really haven't come back because there's not a lot of selection for me. The other reason is they got rid of the croissants on the menu LOL. The service was fast and friendly and there was about a medium sized crowd inside despite the parking lot being full. They have kind of a dark semi romantic atmosphere I guess they're going for. The chicken sandwich was nice and tender. I'm not a fan of the shoe string fries because they remind me of Steak and Shake and at this price point I think they should have some good fries here. They actually had a few craft beers on tap but I thought the cocktail prices were a little extreme at 15 plus. My girl got the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and the potatoes were ice cold so they lose a star for that. Other than that I have no complaints except that the pricing for lunch. $20 for a chicken sandwich is a bit much to me.

This truly a wonderful experience for all ages and varying tastes. A tremendous and welcome change we've come to endure from other dining experiences. Here the customer is THE primary focus from the moment you walk in til you walk out the door - BRAVO!! The food, had the Mayberry Mega where you pick your 6 omelette ingredients. Normally a crap shoot in most diners but here it was a home run. The ham and sausage were nice size chunks, juicy, and full of flavor. Spinach, onions, and tomatoes were fresh and perfect sizes and good quantities for the dish. That leaves the cheese my one "ding" would have preferred shredded cheese vs sliced cheese because of flavor and texture - but it didn't take away from a wonderfully prepared omelette made and severed with genuine care. Potatoes were frozen BUT they were prepared exceptionally well for dinner dare they were soft and cooked with a nice crisp. It was a superb surprise and a very welcome one. The coffee was fresh and hot and the standard "acidic" coffees you'd find in most diners anywhere, but overall inviting enough to have a few cups for a discerning coffee "snob" like me. Place was PACKED so all tables and booth were full, but they have a nice counter service with plenty of seating and space to move and eat and be very comfortable for your meal. What's fascinating is the incredible teamwork and collective desire to ensure your time, experience, and meal are spent enjoying your company and food not staring at your watch wondering about time. The entire restaurant was seated, served, and cleared with clean tables within the time I had to get and consume my own breakfast. So if you see a packed house on your arrival and don't desire that counter seat fear not - in this home environment your wait will be short and your day will lose no valuable time - well worth some minimal patience - you'll be glad you did. Your greeted as soon as you walk in by one or more of the extremely hardworking waitresses with a smile - your also sent off with a "Thank you. have a Good Day" by one more waitresses as you leave - both excellent touch of service class enhancing customer experience. I've never seen a more well-run diner or any restaurant from the waitresses to the cooks to the dishwashers the teamwork, attention to details, customer satisfaction, and to the incredible cleanliness of the restaurant despite the constant flow of customers - I've never seen a restaurant so clean and kept so clean the out the day. So what are you waiting for come to Mayberry where a warm greeting, clean home, exceptional food are calling YOUR name today...I'm returning perhaps I'll see you there....Bon Appetite!!
