    Only my second time here- always good food. Our waitress was nice. Staff are always friendly but not too professional / friendly where it seems fake which i find refreshing. Gave a 4 star because my food wasn't that hot coming out- seems like it sat for a tad before getting brought out. Also lacked any flavor definitely needed some salt / seasoning. Still good even with not being hot! Also the table next to us had their phone propped up on FaceTime out loud so that did take away from my experience not that the restaurant is at fault for that. Would definitely be back but this is higher scale so pricing reflects that expect to spend $50+ a person depending what you get!

    We had a reservation and arrived just early. The place was full. It is nicely organized and clean. We were eventually seated near our reservation time. Nichole was our server and did an excellent job. She checked in frequently and made sure we had everything we wanted. The food was very good. We shared some appetizers. The whipped feta and carpaccio were both excellent. Some of our dishes are shown and everyone was very pleased with their meals.

    Kathryn was amazing. We arrived a little late for our reservation but they were able to seat us right away. I ordered the Brussels sprouts to start. They were delicious. I ordered the 14oz strip and it was amazing. The creamed corn was awesome. The old fashion was unbelievable.

    This was my second visit to The Standard, this time for an early Holiday meal. We had reservations for two and were promptly seated in a booth as requested. I hadn't realized before that there is a large room to the right of the bar area. We were there for a somewhat early dinner at 6pm on a Saturday and the place was bustling! Definitely make a reservation. (I used Open Table online two or three weeks in advance and it was very easy.) We were greeted shortly after being seated and our server advised us of the special entrees after taking our drink orders. We decided to split the roasted beet salad which also came with herbed goat cheese. Our server brought the salad on two plates- already divided. The salad was absolutely amazing!! I am seriously still craving it and the portion was so large that I couldn't even finish my half. Our server promptly boxed it up before our entrees were served. For the main course, I ordered one of the specials- scallops with rice sauteed with spinach. My friend had pork roast with carrots, which was a large portion - no complaints and she took home leftovers for another meal. I'll speak to my scallops... They were perfectly prepared, but there were only three scallops and a plentiful serving of rice and spinach. I love spinach and this side was very well seasoned. It didn't take long to eat the three scallops and the spinach pieces in the rice. I definitely enjoyed my meal, but wished for even one more scallop. Since my entree was a special that was verbally announced, I didn't know the price until I saw the bill. While it was delicious, I found the $41 charge a bit steep. The Standard is exceptional in almost every way- service was impeccable, amazing food, lovely ambiance- but be prepared for a pricey evening. My friend and I had a very enjoyable time and I definitely recommend this restaurant. I will say, however, that it can be difficult to talk because it is so busy.     We arrived to find the place absolutely packed--turns out it was prom night, and the wait time was three hours. Thankfully, John, the General Manager, went above and beyond to accommodate us. He managed to work us in within 10 minutes by rearranging a few things. We let him know we'd be done in an hour, and he agreed. Just five minutes later, he came back over and told us to take our time, which we really appreciated. The food? Absolutely incredible. Chef Jeff clearly has a deep passion for his craft--you can taste it in every bite. The portions were generous (some of the best we've seen in years) and the price points were more than fair. The entire staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highlights of the night: The best pasta I've ever had--shrimp, fresh tomato, garlic butter, and a panko crust topped with a rich butter sauce. A perfectly cooked pork chop with mushrooms and collard greens. A refreshing raspberry mocktail. A classic, delicious dirty Shirley--simple and tasty. And don't even get me started on the deviled eggs... amazing! We truly loved our time here and can't wait to return. Huge thanks to John for making it happen--next time we'll definitely call ahead! Five stars all around.

    Went here for a birthday celebration and everyone was so nice. They all signed a birthday card that was on the table when we got there. Got there a little early so we started with a drink at the bar. The smoked olive is a must get. The olives were the best I've ever had. Still thinking about them. We got seated in a room that looks like it could hold a private dinner party. For dinner we got the mussels for an app. So good. Dipped the bread in the sauce. Comes with a lot. A good shareable. Since it was a first time we wanted to try the steaks. We got the filet with butter add on. We also added on brussel sprouts and polenta. Filet was cooked to perfection. Polenta was creamy and sprouts had a good char. This review is getting too long but we just had the best time and the service made it even better. Cannot wait to go back to try the rest of the menu.

    The food is certainly outstanding and they have a signature crabcake that cannot be beaten. But prior restaurants in that location have had good food. It's the People. All of the staff seem to have wonderful energy. They are positive, engaging and seems like they really want to serve and give a great customer experience. They do that. Very well. It has an upscale, big city buzz without all the pretense. Pricey, but far from shocking. Very nicely done.

    We've been a few times now, and I would say the food is consistently very good. There have only been a couple of misses. And one time when the waiter dropped a bunch of glass on my husband. The owners are very hands-on as are the managers. They take a lot of pride in the work that they're doing, and it shows in their social media marketing and in the food that they present. I've never had an ugly meal at The Standard. And I crave their veal parm constantly.

    I came here for a solo date and was wowed by everything this restaurant has to offer. They had a wonderful cocktail and food menu, but all the while the staff was amazing. I sat at the bar and ordered the Trophy Wife featured cocktail. The taste was fruity and balanced perfectly. For food I ordered the mussels and the beet salad. Both were absolutely devine. The flavor of the mussels were perfect and the bread it came with had the perfect crunch to soak in the sauce. The beet salad came with rock course salt, balsamic, pomegranate seeds and whipped goat cheese. It has every flavor needed to make his dish a great salad. For dessert, I ordered an affogato of course. If anyplace offers an affogato, I order it. But this one came with an orange liquor/digestif. The meal was amazing. The bartender and manager were checking in with all tables and always offering assistance. I cannot talk highly about this place enough. Amazing.

    9.5/10 Great upscale Restaurant. I recommend for Date nights or Adult Nights. I wouldn't really recommend for children. The setting is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The food was great! The drinks were great and pretty strong! Service was everything. Very very Welcoming! A must Try!

I'm not a fan of the shoe string fries because they remind me of Steak and Shake and at this price point I think they should have some good fries here. They actually had a few craft beers on tap but I thought the cocktail prices were a little extreme at 15 plus. My girl got the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and the potatoes were ice cold so they lose a star for that. Other than that I have no complaints except that the pricing for lunch. $20 for a chicken sandwich is a bit much to me.

She was a great sport however and made do with the high tabled booth. My mom ordered a lamb gyro with fries and I ordered my usual Georgia Reuben with fries. My mom was very pleased with her gyro. It had lots of vegetables and meat, and she said the tszazicki (sp?) sauce was delicious. She also enjoyed the fries. I loved my Georgia Reuben because the cole slaw has a kick of black pepper and other ingredients that make it taste amazing. The homemade Thousand Island dressing was soooo delicious! I was a little disappointed in the fries because they were fried more than I prefer but were still good. Best of all, we both took home leftovers! Seriously, the plates couldn't adequately support the generous portions of food with heaping amounts of fries- and I say that as a good thing! Even witnessed a middle aged woman who could hardly walk out on her own. Prior to her bumper-pool walking style on the way out, as she was seated, she hoisted up her leg and placed her heel on the man's shoulder she was with. Mercy! Alcohol can cause strange events to happen. We both ordered the Blackened Salmon Quinoa Salad with the Walnut Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing. Salad cost $18. To me, the salmon portion was a bit smaller than anticipated, but had a good blacked spiced mix and done very nicely.

Not sure if I expected a honey taste or a typical flaky crust taste what I didn't expect was a complete void of any taste at all. The chocolate peanut butter pie was a bit different had a basic chocolate pudding taste but lacking a huge chocolate flavor like the deep flavor in the vanilla version, shockingly it was lacking was an overall peanut butter flavor while eating the pie unlike its vanilla counterpart where every bite had the PB flavor prevalent in every bite the chocolate version the PB was glaringly absent a big disappointment, the crème topping was balanced and pleasant but thick dominating the flavor of this pie - again the crust however was surprisingly bland and tasteless. Researching menus and the pie history I believe the way it used to be done and now has changed in the past the crème topping was 1/2 the thickness and the PB combo pies had a distinct PB layer between the flavored bottoms and the crème toppings that are lacking in current versions. Past crusts were distinct thickness approx twice the thickness as current versions and a whole different color much browner which would indicate it would have the "flaky" texture you'd expect from their style of pies which currently completely lack any real texture and:or flavor...perhaps it's my batch perhaps I'm being too picky I'm not a pie eater per say but I do know my crusts and what to expect out of a beloved establishment with a rich history in pie making - remember your roots and what made you famous to begin with all the good service in the world won't win you new customers with these pies unfortunately - sadly I cannot recommend these pies for dessert it pains me to write this because I was so happy to see them rebound after the fire - was my first visit as well adding to my disappointment my mum raved about them so expectations were high but alas they failed every level this particular visit - added the picture from your own menu of what I was expecting for visual representation - bring back the past flavors and flaky crust PLEASE!!! PS: Doug & Betty thank you for your reach out and responding to my review it's nice to know owners read reviews - wish more did - I certainly look forward to coming back and giving it all another try - I generally hate leaving bad reviews but also believe in honesty and sharing good and bad, you can't improve what you don't know is wrong - Blessings
