    Classic cheesecake

Thank you to CSI Wealth Management for hosting such a nice dinner event at Ruth's Chris! We started with the goat cheese and artichoke dip and bread, followed by a choice of ribeye, salmon, or stuffed chicken, with mashed potatoes and broccoli on the side. Everything tasted fresh and prepared to order, so the slight wait between courses was well worth it. I had the salmon and it was absolutely delicious. I especially appreciated that it was only lightly blackened and not overly seasoned. The portions were very generous too--most people left with leftovers! We finished with classic cheesecake, which was creamy and not too sweet. Friendly service, a nice private room, and a really enjoyable dinner overall. Parking is not validated and dress code is business casual to dressy. Ladies, wear something loose so you can eat up and enjoy your meal haha!

I knew we were going to have a great night the moment we set foot into the restaurant. We were greeted warmly by the folks at the front desk, and despite us being slightly early, we were not made to wait and were immediately led to our table. Our interactions with members of the staff was brief but meaningful. It's uncanny how they set the tone: they didn't overindulge in a conversation but it definitely was more than just transactional. It was clear that they set out to please their guests and we sure were. They made us laugh - Gary our server was witty, quick and articulate. Our favorites were the osso bucco ravioli, calamari (a little on the sweet side), cowboy cut and the porterhouse steak for two. They asked if we were celebrating anything and we said not really, since my husband's birthday was several weeks ago, Gary brought out a cheesecake specially for him! What a classy touch. I'm so glad that this restaurant seems to be thriving despite the economy, but what saddens me is how some of the guests didn't seem to appreciate the unspoken requirement of dressing up for a night out at Ruth's Chris. It was jarring to see one male guest turn up in a ratty shirt and tiny hot pink shorts. Oh well. Maybe I'm old school and believe that how we present ourselves in public reflects our self-respect or maybe these are just the times we live in. Regardless, I strongly recommend asking for Gary and Gabriel the busboy. They were attentive without hovering and clearly listened for details that we didn't think meant anything - and yet they responded by using them to make our night unforgettable. Even Matt the GM stopped by our table to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We were stuffed with the most high quality food and treated like royalty. Our family left on a high that we are still riding.

This steakhouse is spacious, inviting, and knows exactly how to help you celebrate a special occasion! I've celebrated a birthday and Mother's Day here thus far; the attention to detail was next level. As an example, they pre-printed the birthday girl's name on her menu - she was so touched and it was an unexpected gesture, which truly made for a nice touch on an already splendid dinner. Prices are on the higher end, but fitting for the quality, taste and share-ability. Portions are generous enough. I always end up ordering way more than necessary, and people often leave with leftovers for later. My personal favorite is the sweet potato pecan/praline. YUMMMMMM. Give it a try if you like sweet potato and a nicely decadent glaze. You can't go wrong with the steak or shrimp here, as well. The filet mignon is divine. I wasn't too crazy about some of the salads and starters I tried, like the Brussel sprouts and house salad. Always best to plan ahead at a steakhouse and this one is no different. Make a reservation in advance and you shouldn't have to wait for long. Note which area you'd like to sit in if you have a preference. We tend to park in the underground garage across the street since finding parking in the immediate area can be a pain.

I would give 5 stars to the servers, waiters, and most of the workers were great. Hugo and Manny were great. They were friendly, kept checking in on us, and gave great recommendations. The one star is due to the attitude of a manager. We ordered the lobster mac n' cheese and unfortunately my husband bit into a sharp piece of lobster shell. We informed our server, who was very apologetic, and said he would send a manager over. The manager came over, and asked what happened, we informed him about the lobster shell in the mac n' cheese. The manager looked and my husband and coldly asked, "Well are you ok?" My husband said yes and then the manager walked away without an apology. He didn't offer to take the mac n' cheese off our bill. As we were leaving the manager James open the door for us asked how our experience was for dinner. We told him everything was great until the rude manager didn't offer an apology or comp the side dish. James apologized for the manager's rudeness and said he should have taken the mac n' cheese off our bill. I hoped James would have called and comped the side after the fact but he didn't. I'm glad he apologized for his rudeness of his manager and I hoped for a sensible resolution, but so far there's been nothing. I even responded to survey they emailed me after the dining experience and I still have not received a correspondence. I feel that the manager didn't take us seriously because we didn't have the usual look for the typical diners at this establishment. There's review from a month ago mentioning how they weren't putting people of color in the main dining room.

The food was amazing and the service was even better. Colleen was our waitress and she was very attentive and kind. We didn't wait too long for our food at all. Everything was 10/10!

We celebrated our belated anniversary (November) here tonight. Our first Ruth's Chris Steak House since Waikiki back in 2016. An all around better experience than the more touristy one we had in Hawaii. Friendly service, from our initial check-in and short wait, to our delightfully welcoming server Wally. With the floor manager Eli continually dropping by our table, making sure that our special night out was going smoothly. Finally great customer service for a high end steakhouse. And we enjoyed the food as well; for the most part. But there were a few disappointments: Complimentary Bread: No complaints. 3.5/5 Goat Cheese & Artichoke Dip: This was very flavorful but we could have used more than six pieces of toasted garlic breads for dipping. 4/5 $21.00 Blueberry Mojito Mocktail: Bittersweet but refreshing. After sampling mine, my wife passed on ordering the same. 3.5/5 $8.25 Sprite: My wife's beverage. 4/5 $4.75 40oz Tomahawk Ribeye: I agreed to order it medium well since we were sharing. I always order medium. Which was delicious, but as one Yelper's review did mention, with the steaks all arriving on sizzling hot plates they do tend to continue cooking beyond your initial preference. But still a very tasty and well seasoned steak. With plenty leftover for a couple of meals. 4/5 $164.00 2 Baked Potatoes: Although I had no real complaints with mine, my wife thought that her potato was old and had probably been sitting too long. 3.5/5 $30.00 Cremini Mushrooms: We both agreed that these were very disappointing. An acquired taste I suppose but we wouldn't order them again. 2.5/5 $16.00 Our Complimentary Shared Cheese Cake: Small, but more than enough for dessert. And very thoughtful. The assorted berries were an excellent accompaniment to the cheesecake. 4/5 All around, an enjoyable night out celebrating 44 blessed years of marriage. And with such a beautiful setting, we'd recommend this location.

Ruth Chris always has great deals. I took my aunt here for her birthday and we got the $60 deal and it was amazing. Arron, our server went above and beyond his job duties. He made sure we had happy hour prices during the time we sat down to dine. He catered to us without being overwhelming. He made our dining a fun experience. It's a little too dark inside but the ambiance is nice. Valet parking is expensive $15

I have not been to Ruth Chris in Pasadena in years!! But last night was definitely a great time with good company! The food was on point!! They have the $60 course meal!! What a great deal!! I got Caesar salad as my starter , double chicken breast for my entree, garlic mash for my side, and plastic cheesecake for my dessert. It was well worth it and very good. Everything was made fresh and it was super piping hot, which I love very good flavor and it was just amazing. From my drink, I had a lemon drop and it was made to perfection . The ambience was great and came during happy hour and stayed for a few hours to chill and watch the game at the bar. The service was exceptional from one to enter from the hosts to our server/Bartender. He was so phenomenal and very patient and he did not mess up on any of our orders. For parking, they have plenty of street parking in Pasadena on the street but I decided to do valet It was $15. I will come here for a good time !! And happy hour and just to have a good time!! I highly recommend!! -Marshay D.

Haven't been here is a while but wanted to try their happy hour menu again. Nice looking location but parking can be difficult since it is downtown Pasadena. Be patient and you may be able to find street parking. But be mindful of the parking sign requirements and meters. Sat in bar area for their happy hour. Nice seating area and good service. Our server checked in on us often. Food and drink wise the selection is good for happy hour. Portion sizes are also good - not big but not small. We enjoyed some seared ahi tuna, beef sliders, truffle fries, and whiskey sours - enjoyed them all.

Food was delicious but the service was fabulous! We had a party of 7 and was lucky that the private room was available. It was the perfect size for celebrating an anniversary and it gave us the privacy from the main dinning area. Let's talk about the service from Cora first (yes, the service over powered the food). Cora greeted us with her bubbly personality and took our drink order right away. After the drinks came, we got bread at the table without us even asking. Then she helped us open the bottles of wine and brought us a decanter. She was always on top of everything most of the time even before we asked. It's like she was reading our minds haha She congratulated us on our anniversary and brought us a celebration cheesecake. We can get into the food a little later. Cora checked on us throughout the night to make sure we had everything that we needed but not so much where you felt it was overbearing. It was the perfect balance! If you go, asked to be seated in Cora's section. The food was yummmm. It's been awhile since I've had Ruth Chris and it was still good just as I remembered. We did a family style meal and Cora had the chef pre cut the steak so it was easier for us to share. She also had a sizzling butter plate brought out to each of us so we can coat the steak with the oh so good butter. We left with our bellies full but what made the night was Cora....hands down one of the best services!

I took my mom and daughter for a double birthday dinner. They added confetti and a happy birthday to our menu at our table! Kenny was very informative and attentive. His server assistant Manny was very kind and always kept our glasses full. The restaurant was clean and very well maintained. The only thing I was disappointed in was the lobster Mac and cheese. It was delicious but wasn't hot at all. The steak was tender and seasoned to perfection! They made it extra special by bringing out cheesecakes for the birthday girls!!

First time visitor to this location - 2nd time overall dining at a Ruth chris (it's been over 10 years) and the goal was to treat my mom out who was dining for the first time and craving a good steak Parking is available by street (please read the signs to avoid any issues), valet $15, or parking across in paseo parking structure Multiple indoor dining rooms both dim lighting and bright lighting, full service bar and flatscreens, and 2 outdoor tables in front of the restaurant Reservation highly recommended or walk in is available. Yes it's a dressy restaurant however be comfortable as there were folks dressed up, in shorts or jeans, and other types of apparel. Had reservations and the Hostess was really friendly and provided strong review for the Thanksgiving dinner - we were led to the west wing of the restaurant but was seated near the entrance of the doorway but it's a holiday so out of anyone control. The food was solid all the way through! Ordered the lump crab appetizer, french onion soup, 6oz filet and shrimp, garlic mash potato, 16oz ribeye, sweet potato casserole, and cremini mushroom. Dessert was pumpkin pie and ice cream and crème brûlée. Complimentary warm bread and butter provided. Everything tasted fresh to order. The lump crab was sweet and hand made, size of a golf ball, and came on a sizzling hot plate. The french onion soup was comforting with melted Swiss on a crouton and caramelized onion in the bowl Steaks were very tender and cooked to requested. Both on a sizzling hot plate and appreciated the constant warning of the plate is extremely hot. Melt in your mouth, very easy to cut, rich buttery, treated with care, cost of steak maybe high but the quality and flavor was worth it for a luxury treat. The sides as described in the menu were flavorful, shareable, fresh, and presented with simplicity. Food checked everything, however the server we had lacked in multiple ways: no introduction from server, not asking if first time visiting which it was for my mom and me my second time in 10 years , not explaining the menu specials offerings available recommendations or how things worked, timing was off when the main entrees and sides were being brought as the server assistant was not sure if they should serve or not, the server not checking back after 2 bites or 2 minutes and refilled my water was left toward the end of service after I was drinking my moms. The main reason I bring up service as my mom is overhearing how other servers were engaging with their parties and how it differed a bit. In the end I would certainly return as my mom enjoyed her entire experience which matters the most (and wants to come back again), just somewhat surprise with the service receive. Thank you for a wonderful meal and dining experience.

The vibe is super quaint and warm, dim lighting, and a creative atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. The wine is on the pricier side ($19-$21 per glass), but the quality delivers. Customer service was excellent. One of the bartenders spent time chatting with us. He pointed out a chalk artwork behind the bar a dramatic portrait he drew himself featuring expressive, literary-style faces, like Edgar Allan Poe, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, etc. It fits perfectly with the creative, bookish aesthetic of the bar. If you're into books, wine, and unique experiences, 1894 is a spot you absolutely can't miss. Perfect for a date, a solo unwind-with-a-book moment, or a fun night with friends who appreciate a good story and a great drink.

I was searching for wine bars in the area and this place came up. I was intrigued by the concept of a florist & wine bar combo, so I stopped in to check it out. The place is quaint. There's a section with unique bottles of wine for sale in addition to potted plants. An area where Gabriel works his magic creating artistic floral arrangements, and a cozy little wine bar where you can sit and enjoy a glass or two. There was a group of friends chatting it up at the wine bar, and they were kind enough to offer me a seat. Raymond, the wine expert and owner along with Gabriel, poured me a lovely glass of Spumante Brut Rosé. It was perfectly chilled and a delight on the palate. I had a wonderful conversation with Raymond & Gabriel. They are both darling and welcoming. I look forward to returning with friends or to attend a tasting. I'm also happy to have a new spot for ordering beautiful floral bouquets. *HH Mon - Thurs 4 - 6 pm $10 Select wines by the glass. *Private parking lot.

Our waiter was incredibly passive and at times it felt like we were being completely ignored. He would attend to tables around us but never checked in with us, had what seemed like a limited knowledge of the menu, and offered a half assed apology at the end of the night. The table next to us was clearly someone of importance, because they kept getting "gifted" foods, cheeses, drinks, etc. - which is fine, but only magnified our poor service. We also saw our food and beverages as well as other tables food and beverages be delivered to the wrong tables. My fiances sorbet was given to the special table next to us, but they had already had their dessert, and so the wait staff left with it and a minute later delivered it to our table melted. There was one staff member that was wonderful, and it seemed like he was a busboy who was filling in for our waiter (sorry I did not get his name) but he was very kind, personable, and would be the reason we come back, aside from the great food. There was also no acknowledgement of the special occasion we were celebrating, which is a minor thing but at other restaurants it's usually never missed and helps make for a nice experience especially when we mark that we are here celebrating an anniversary. All in all it was a disappointing experience. We may return for the food in the future, because it was excellent, but the service needs to be worked on.

Once you walk in, the vibe instantly transforms into a sexy and luxurious space with dim lighting, cushioned seats, and interesting artwork hanging on the wall. They have quite a few drinks on their menu. I like how the menu highlights the flavors of each cocktail so it makes it easier to find a drink that will suite your tastes. We ordered the beauty and the beast and friends and neighbors drink. Both cocktails tasted very light and delicious. On top of that, the beauty and the beast drink comes in a cute rose shaped glass which matches the name perfectly! The servers were very attentive and would check in on us periodically. They also give you some chips that you can munch on while enjoying your drink. This spot is perfect for a date or girls night out! I definitely want to come back and try their other drinks!

Where the ambient noise isn't so loud that you really need to raise your voice to talk. As a single person who came with a book to read and study... it's dim lighting so I had to make use of candlelight. This really is meant to be more of a social spot. I came in on a weekday to catch the Suntory promotion, which came with some nice collectibles to pair with your highball. I feel like every cocktail I've had here so far has a great sense of balance and technique. I'll probably come back and try their omakase course of cocktails at some point. Is it "kami no glass?" The food menu consists of luxurious bites from burrata, crudo, bone marrow, oysters, and the like. Gourmet pairings for your expensive tastes.
