    GARLIC MASHED

My boyfriend and I visited Ruth's Chris for the first time this Valentine's Day and to be honest, I was really surprised by how underwhelming this steakhouse is. We've been to the Capital Grille dozens of times and expected it to be on par, but boy were we surprised. I'd say the only thing slightly comparable was the food, but even that missed the mark :( I had a filet that was delicious, but it was literally in a puddle of butter, and the lobster tail I'd ordered (a completely separate item from the filet) was placed on the same plate, so my $22 lobster tail tasted just like my steak. My boyfriend felt his steak was ok, but not anything memorable. The mashed potatoes were also very greasy and had a rim of oil around the side of the bowl. My espresso martini was a 3/5. My main gripe with the evening, however, was the manager who came by our table. Every time we've visited a steakhouse, there is a manager who quickly pops by to check on the table and make sure your dinner is going smoothly. This manager did not do that. The first thing he mentioned when he came by was that the single rose each lady received was from him (as he'd ordered them for the restaurant), which I found odd. Then he asked me what I'd received for my Valentine's Day gifts, and when I told him, he looked between my boyfriend and I and said "is that it?" I was mortified. He went on a spiel about winning $46k at a casino and hiding it from his wife, and then promoted a jewelry store down the street. By the end of the conversation, my boyfriend and I were just so put off and confused by the experience. It felt unprofessional and it was strange enough for me to question if he was maybe inebriated? No idea but I can absolutely say we will not be returning, even to other locations.

We grabbed dinner here after an intense day of packing and we had an exceptional meal. We both did the Ruth's three course meal. The filet was a superb cut and seasoned perfectly lobster tail was expertly cooked, and the drinks were incredible. All that is the cherry on top of absolutely immaculate service. The reviews just don't do this place justice. Definitely recommend their Brown Butter Old Fashioned for cocktails and the filets were cooked to PERFECTION. Our server, Kendall, was fantastic and the GM, Srdjan, also checked on us which was so nice. We've tried a lot of steaks in the area and 10/10 recommend this place. They also sent us away with a DELICIOUS cheesecake and congratulations.

I ordered my steak cooked " medium " and got " rare " ( more like RAW ). Someone needs to show the menu to the cooks and have them study it . More specifically the " USDA Prime Steaks " section where it tells what to expect your steak to look like when you cut into it . ( see attached pictures ) . Our server kept coming by the table asking if everything was ok , I think he could tell I wasn't happy with it but for some reason he wouldn't mention it . I will not send anything back in any restaurant for fear of angering the cooks and having them clean the floor or blowing their nose on it ( or worse ). I ate what I could and we thanked our server who , by the way , was excellent , very friendly and attentive , a real gentleman .

Went and gave Ruth's Chris a second chance, and I can't complain about it this time. The drink was delicious & i honestly ordered it cause it was a blast from the past and was made with Remy Martin! The soup was so tasteful that I left with a burnt tongue! Definitely great location especially when the weathers nice can even see Encore from my table .

My coworkers and I ate here on a Monday night and sat at the bar. There was no wait. The bartender was very attentive and got our drinks promptly. The drinks were exactly what we ordered and were delicious. For entrees, I ordered the cowboy ribeye, medium rare, with an al la carte style for sides. The food was fairly expensive, but WOW! The ribeye was served on a 500* degree plate with melted sizzling butter. The char was impeccable. Hands down one of the best steaks I've had. My coworkers all enjoyed their steaks as well. We were blown away by the experience. The vibes were intimate and not too loud despite being at the bar. The lighting was dim but still light enough to see the menu. We highly recommend Ruth Chris when in assembly row.

Great steak and lobster Mac and cheese! The service was nice. The ambiance was also good.

What started off as a not so great experience became a fantastic experience by end of the evening. No waiters/waitresses came to take our order, but I had noticed other people who came after us already had their orders in, drinks on table, and bread too. I had to stop a waiter to have our order taken. After our orders were taken, a few moments later the host comes over to offer an apology and an app on the house. Shortly after, our food came and everything was just as expected-- delicious. Shout out to Isaac for taking such great care of us. The service was outstanding.

Cake and dessert (they even brought out one with a candle !)

I've reviewed this location on google but last night celebrated my birthday there so I wanted to update the review to include pictures & names of staff who made it such a great experience. First a detail that I thought was so nice is when we told them what we were celebrating they put gold star confetti on the table, it was a nice touch and it gave my instagram photos that little extra touch lol. I appreciate the small details. The blueberry mojito was amazing I got my absolute favorite roast chicken Creamed spinach , au gratin and mashed potato were all delicious. I want to shout out Becky, Cassidy & Keith for all being so kind and attentive. Quality service overall will definitely be back and recommend to everyone I know.

Visited the new Somerville location with my girlfriend for a date and had what might be the best steak I've ever tasted.

There were very few redeeming aspects to the meal, and we left feeling both disrespected and unsatisfied as customers. The issues started right away. We ordered drinks--including a pear mocktail--but were brought the wrong ones, and then they attempted to charge us for those incorrect drinks. In hindsight, the cocktail mix-up should have been a warning of what was to come. The pear mocktail itself was also quite bad. The service felt chaotic throughout the night. We asked multiple times for additional servings of steak and fries, but were largely ignored. Meanwhile, nearby large tables were repeatedly served, cleared out entire trays, and still received more attention from staff. For an all-you-can-eat steak frites offering, we each received only one serving despite several requests. As for the food itself, it did not make up for the service. The steak was just okay--some pieces were chewy and overly fatty, though acceptable if refills had actually been provided. The fries, however, were terrible. Our first serving was so hard it was nearly inedible, and the only refill we received was just as bad. I also ordered the spinach risotto, which was slightly better than the steak, but it was so salty I couldn't finish it. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

We walked into a warm, energetic space with dim lighting, an open dining room, and a constant buzz that makes it a great choice for a night out with friends or a date. The restaurant has a vibrant, social energy that encourages sharing and exploration, and the open layout adds to the sense of activity without feeling chaotic. Rather than ordering individual entrées, the experience is centered around sharing a variety of dishes, making each visit feel a little different depending on what you choose. The tapas are the highlight of the menu, with plenty of options that encourage trying a little bit of everything. The bacon-wrapped dates are one of the signature dishes, balancing sweet and savory flavors, while the patatas bravas, croquettes, and charcuterie boards are reliable choices to start the meal. If you are looking for something more substantial, the seafood paella and squid ink pasta stand out as excellent main dishes, offering rich flavors and generous portions that are easy to split between two or more people. The olive oil cake is also worth saving room for if you want to end the meal with dessert, and the overall progression of the meal works well with the tapas format. The drink menu is just as impressive as the food. Wine is the main focus, with an extensive list featuring Spanish and international selections, but the sangria and cocktails are equally popular. It is the kind of place where you can easily spend a couple of hours sharing plates while working your way through a few different drinks, and the beverage program is thoughtfully curated to match the style of the food. Service is one of the restaurant's strongest points. The staff are knowledgeable about both the menu and wine list, and dishes arrive steadily throughout the meal instead of all at once, creating a relaxed dining pace. The pacing allowed us to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed, and the team checked in at the right moments without hovering. The restaurant is consistently busy, especially on weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. Even with a reservation, there can occasionally be a short wait, and the lively atmosphere means the dining room can get quite loud during peak hours. The energy of the room is part of what makes the experience work, but it is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quieter dinner. Barcelona Wine Bar is one of the best places in Boston for Spanish-inspired tapas and wine. The combination of flavorful shareable dishes, a well-curated drink menu, attentive service, and vibrant atmosphere makes it an easy choice for group dinners, celebrations, or date nights. It offers a meal that feels both communal and polished, with a setting that encourages slowing down and enjoying the evening. Just be prepared for the energetic environment and plan ahead if you are visiting during the busiest times.

Food: We enjoyed everything we ordered, but the standouts were the fried mozzarella and the pastas. The fried mozzarella was perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey throughout. Service: This was the definition of seamless. The staff always had a purpose when they came by and it felt like we were being looked after. No moments of awkwardly wanting to ask for the dessert menu or the check. Atmosphere: We couldn't stop looking at all the amazing decor. Our window seats especially had great soft lighting. Super sweet person tho Our table was bummed about the dessert selection - bring back the classic tiramisu in a glass!! Sadly, the stuffed garlic bread was not warm enough for a nice cheesepull like the videos either. The tulip-shaped scallop ravioli was the star, with a moderately rich butter sauce. As for the lobster spaghetti, barely any lobster was detected. Chill pond-facing spot with open seating and turtle-speed service from kind servers with good drink recs. There were just 3 groups eating with us and it took half an hour for the food to be served. Medium portions weren't filling at all so we were hoping the dessert would offset that. I still think changing dessert menus once a year is better than every season especially considering that low foot traffic that night.
