They can sell an RV but have trouble servicing. Make sure you ask them specifically if the RV has had any body or structural work done on a unit before you purchase. Had water running through our coach under both living room slide and bedroom slide while we were traveling 3 1/2 months after we purchased it. Left several messages with Joe to have someone call me and tell me what we can do about it as we were out of state and would be for 3 months. No one called me back. Brand new trailer with water leaking every time it rained. Joe told me the Owner Dennis would call, Jack the GSM or Paul the Service person and no one called me. Called 3 consecutive days in a row and not a returned call. Found out recently that there had been stress crack repairs done to the RV a year before we purchased. The Fifth wheel has one problem after the other and of course the expensive extended warranty is not paying off. Lots of other choices to purchase an RV from. 1) Questionable sales team. We live in Washington State and were returning home from Calif. when we stopped at RV Outlet in Eugene, Oregon. Looking for a travel trailer, we had done our homework and Lance was one of the names we were looking for. After talking to a sales rep., we were told that they were part of an RV show going on in town and had a nice Lance trailer there. We drove over to the show and met a salesperson there to look at the Lance. Unfortunately, it was one of the trailers parked outside in the rain. We looked the outside over as best we could in pouring rain and proceeded to look over the inside. It looked nice, we asked a million questions and it seemed to be just what we were looking for. It had a 4 seasons pkg and the layout was on the nose. We looked the outside over a second time and eventually came to a deal while at the show. We completed the purchase process and returned to Washington planning to come back and pick it up in two weeks. We were told title papers would be sent to us in 2 weeks. We returned to RV Outlet to pick up the trailer and do a walk thru with a rep. When we got the trailer home we realized the front window seal was broken and there is water in the double pane glass. Looking back, that window always had the blind down! During the walk thru after purchase, the rep did show us how the blind opens and closes, but was still positioned all the way down. While at the RV show looking at it from the outside in the pouring rain, twice, it looked fine. Certainly, the sales rep never said anything about it which should have absolutely been part of the negotiations as there is no way RV Outlet was not aware of the problem. We have since learned that this could cost us between $2,000 & $3500 to either fix the seal or replace it as it is a curved pane! Because we signed an "AS IS WHERE IS" paper with them, there is no recourse now. Again...tin our opinion there is NO WAY RV Outlet didn't know about this expensive window problem!! 2) NO customer service. We were told all our papers would be in the mail in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks and no papers received, we started calling and leaving messages. For 3 more weeks, we left multiple messages and no one returned our calls! Finally, after 5 weeks, we get a call back and told our papers had been "misplaced" and were sending them to us by "3 day mail!!" We still had to register the trailer in WA. and there is a penalty fee if not done in a timely manner! read more

Agreed to purchase a fifth wheel from them at the tv show this weekend. While filling out paperwork, we found the same trailer for $10k less and we were going to leave and purchase that trailer. RV Outlet then told us they would sell us theirs for "almost" the same price, so we finished filling out the paperwork for financing. Turns out they didn't want to sell the trailer for the price they quoted us. They called late the next day to say we didn't get qualified for financing - however, they NEVER ran our credit!!!! We checked Experian, Credit Karma, and Equifax - none of them were ever checked by RV Outlet! They sold the trailer we had a purchase agreement on for more money and told us "we didn't qualify", but they never ran our credit!!!! We agreed to purchase their trailer, and the other trailer that was $10k less ended up selling to someone else. We confronted RV Outlet about our purchase agreement and how they didn't run our credit, and they didn't give a shit!!! We asked them to mail our paperwork/information back to us or shred it. They told us no and said they keep our information on file for 5 years!!! Dishonest horrible people!!!! They are the definition of scumbag salespeople and a sleazy dealership!!!! I had to take the rv back so they could do some repairs and they did them very poorly. When I asked the service manager if they could do a oil change on the rv and generator and he said we don't have mechanics here, I corrected him and said that's not what your web site says. We brought our trailer here to put on consignment, and mainly worked directly with Joe. We liked that the consignment agreement was simple, not a percentage or a flat rate. However, when we told them the number we wanted at the very least for the trailer (which we knew was justified), they told us it was unrealistic based on whatever "blue book" they use. Plus, you ONLY get the base that you tell them, not any more if they sell it for A LOT MORE. Just keep that in mind. Anyway, during all the paperwork, he told us they'd be taking pictures and posting it online (their website, craigslist, etc), and that they request that we keep it with them for 90 days, but if we really want to take it back (for whatever reason) just give him about a week's notice. When we parked it on their lot, they barely glanced at it. Nothing happened for awhile. We checked online to see what the pictures looked like and how much they had it posted for. Not once did it show up on RV Outlet's own website. It did get posted to craigslist, ever so briefly, and was only some what regularly posted to Facebook Marketplace (no price listed). The pictures they took were terrible, blurry, finger in corners, pretty sure one was upside down. They also had some incorrect info in the post, nothing drastic but you're in the trailer business, get the make and model correct at least. We called to check on this and were assured they were regularly posting and showing it. Couple months go by, we call to tell them we'd like to come pick it up so we can park it under cover now that the rainy months are here. "But it hasn't been 90 days yet...oh... and it's sold"..... And you were going to tell us that when? Apparently financing still had to be settled. Ok, great. We gave it another week, didn't hear anything. Call again, "Nope sorry, sale fell through, but it hasn't been 90 days and you're supposed to keep it here the 90 days, I'll ask if you can take it ..." then we get a text saying that they have appointments for people to look at it next week, we should really keep it there another week. But then we received money into our bank the next day for the trailer. Wait, they said the sale fell through right? Call AGAIN, turns out the trailer sold... 3 weeks ago! "Sorry we didn't call to tell you". Essentially, yes, RV Outlet sold our trailer on consignment which is what we wanted them to do. However, their communication is beyond terrible, it feels like they're just stringing you along, and no one really seems to know what they're talking about. We were very much not impressed by their lack of professionalism and how everything progressed. Would not recommend. read more

I've realized too late that their amazing sales service is a cover for their abysmal service departments customer service. Dont be taken in by their ability to sell you a trailer. I dont normally do things like this,and I have reflected for a couple days about writing this, but I think it is so important for people who might be purchasing from them to know. And this is a long one, but the information is important We were taken with an amazing "Blowout Sale" only to realize too late the reasons behind the supposed "Sale" The SECOND time we took our trailer out the slide out failed to slide out. We called service and were instructed to give it a "good push", upon doing so the slide out made an even worse noise. When trying to bring the slide out back the top of the slide out came back in but the bottom did not. It made a horrible POP sound, when we walked outside to try and push the bottom of the slide out in, we noticed a dent in that top corner. After dropping the trailer off at RV Outlet, we were told they were replacing the slide out mechanisms. I told them of my concerns with having only used this NEW trailer twice and having issues. I was told Forrest River knew of issues with this model and are replacing it for free with the newer model. I inquired about the dent for which they say they were not told about but would look at it. I also asked them if they would warranty their work on this trailer for a year since the 1 yr manufacturing warranty would be up before we would be able to use the trailer next summer. I was told they do excellent work and guarantee their work for 90 and would not extend that. When I pushed this stating they should be willing to guarantee their work for a year I was told again,this time by the Sales Department, the faulty mechanism was a known issue. So I know I know their "blowout sale" was more of getting faulty product off their lot, crossing their fingers, hoping it will last until the warranty ends. When I brought up the dent now on my trailer, I was told they looked at pictures before they sold it to us and there is no dent. I told them, I am aware there was no dent when we purchased the trailer, there was no dent when we left for this camping trip, however this is now a dent after hearing a horrible popping noise, when we were told to push it out. They told me, there is no way that dent happened then. But they would install a slide out awning at cost and no labor costs and the arms would cover the dent. My cost would be over $300.00, normal cost would be over $600.00. But they would not fix the dent as they do not believe it happened at the time I told them it did. So my options are to PAY over $300 to fix a mistake made by them or leave the dent in my brand new trailer. Never have I experienced such an absolute lack accountability. I dont know if its because I am a woman and they think they can steamroll over me, or that I am gullible enough to let them tell me how this happened. But I know absolutely without a doubt this dent happened because of the direction they gave us to push on the slide out. read more

Was promised the moon! Bought a used motorhome with only a few miles. Was told it would be checked over and anything fixed that was defective or needed repair. Signed the paperwork, motorhome would not start on the lot. Kept it a few days, drove back from the canyon (about 150 miles) and picked it up. Pulled into Costco gas station to fill it up. Would not start after getting gas. Had to wait over 1 1/2 hours for a tow truck at the pump. Costco gas was great. Tow truck took it back to Eugene. There another few days. Missed our camping trip because of it. The tow bill was $750 plus we were out gas in our car for 2 trips plus the gas in the motor home that only gets 6 to 7 miles per gallon. They did drive it back to our home on this one. We had a RT2000 Dish satellite put on the motor home before we took it home. Was told it worked, just needed to hook up the Wally. Tried the wipers, did not work. Friend worked on trying to find the problem for over 5 hours. Finally called RV Outlet and was told to bring it back to them for repair. Took it back, they called the next day it was repaired, modular was the problem. Missed another camping trip and was out gas for a car going down to leave it and gas in the motor home again. eThey were to fix the satellite as the Wally worked on the house dish. Would not work in th motorhome. I called Wineguard numerous times with their help trying to get it to work. They even had their engineers involved in looking at the pictures of the hookups that RV Outlet did. Said it was probably hooked up wrong. I asked how the pins on the unit was suppose to be programmed and they told me. I called Dish for trouble shooting and was on the phone with them over 4 hours off and on. I called and talked to Shawn and told him it needed to be programed. The paperwork was in the motorhome along with a diagram that I pulled off the internet for set up. He said it was ok when the wipers were repaired. Got home, Wally still not working. I called Shawn and he said to take it to Car Toys! (We paid $750 for install on the new unit) and it still is not set up correctly. I needed the serial number to register it and asked about the box and manual for it. He told me that it was in the motorhome. I searched everywhere and it was not in there. Dusty said it was, mind you this was after it was there for them to hook it up again. I did not take it out. Shawn told be to have someone get up on the roof, remove the dome and get the serial number off of it. When we did, the pins on the dome were not set in the proper sequence. I called Wineguard back to verify and Dusty had changed them. We programed it the way Wineguard told us to. Worked another couple of hours trying to get it to work, no luck. Went to the coast, tried it there. Husband said to call Camping World to get it fixed. Now for the kicker, Jack the sales manager told us that when the motorhome would not start at the gas pump to turn the receipt for the tow, gas, and meals that we were out and they would pay for them. The owner told him whatever it took to get it right do it and take care of their customer that paid cash for the purchase of the motorhome. This has been well over a month and have not received the reimbursement. Jack told me that he had submitted it for payment. I called Jack 2 days ago and asked about the check. Said he did not know when we would receive it. I told him that we are taking the motorhome to Camping World to work on the satellite and would like for him to pay for it. He got angry and said that he would not pay it and it "was a used RV". I told him that his service department put a new satellite on it and charged us for install and it was not done correctly. He said he would talk to Shawn and see when we might get the check and would call me back after Shawn is back from lunch. 2 days and no phone call. Bottom line: We were lied to on numerous occasions, told it would be like new when we picked it up. Probably sat on the lot, not taken to repair like promised. Was told they would pay for gas, etc and have not received it. Jack was very rude to me. It appears that after you sign the papers and it is a done deal, they do not care to live up to their word. It has already cost them 2 sales from our friends looking to buy RV's from them due to the problems we have encountered with RV Outlet. There were 4 different times that problems arose right after we took it off the lot. The coach was not gone over like promised by the salesman or Jack. 1 hour of inspection is not enough time to make sure everything works. If the satellite had been done correctly, the Wally should have worked before we left their lot (I took the Wally with us.) Word of mouth is their best advertisement and we will be saying: Buyer beware before you buy from them. Make sure that everything works before you leave. the trailer I purchased was a lemon. The service department was very unhelpful. The service manager would not replace some parts that never worked from the day I purchased it (2 months ago). He claimed everything was working when I left with the trailer. And that I was responsible to pay for any repairs. These issues were there when I bought it. I can list all the problems but don't have the time nor desire to do so. On top of that, RV Outlet was asking $17,000 more than the same trailer being sold in 2 other locations in Oregon. Top notch service, bought a tent trailer 2005 jayco 850 popup. Everything worked. Had an issue about a month later. Took it in and Scott, one of the technicians fixed it for no charge. We are happy! After looking at the profiles and other reviews by the people that have left negative reviews about rv outlet it looks like they ONLY post bad things about businesses. I found the management to be dishonest. Sure they are nice, but they are not forthcoming on issues on a used rig (motorhome). And would not fix any issue because i got such a good price, according to them. However, some of these issues are safety, and one would think they would be anxious not to license and put an unsafe (legally) vehicle on the road: --cabin fills with gas fumes after stopping, and issue not detected in my inspection. --signal lights do NOT work. they did for 4 hours and then stopped, along with the flashers, permanently. --discovered a tree had fallen into the roof and punctured it, breaking the windshield. they did not make me away of this major issue, and I now see this has caused misalignment of everything from the driver's door back. This is something else that could not be seen right away, and since I did not climb on top of the rig in the inspection (and depended on their honesty) I now get the surprise. BTW, I did not climb on the rig because of my Parkinson's. --hot water heater had just enough of a path job on it to last 2 weeks before a major leak. It is summer, so it is not a freezing winter issue on my part, just plain deception by someone. I asked to to fix just the one thing, the blinkers, so I would be legal, they refused. Now you be judge, regardless how nice they acted they were not forthcoming or exercised any amount of concern for safety issues or just common good business. They got my cash, and I got their POS they were anxious to dump on someone. These are the facts, and my opinions, which are protected by law. I am told this review can be updated or deleted at a future point, so stay tuned. IMTO: dishonesty by intention or mistake comes from fear. Fear one's income or profit or prosperity is in jeopardy and/of embarrassment. Being a Grad level student in Ethics and later hope to be on County Boards to assist with grater ethic and social justice for the public, I encourage merchants and the public to practice, daily and with every interaction, the removal of fear substituting with bravery, joy, sincere honesty, and joy again. It does not find success right away, but you will. The practice of fear actually brings less prosperity. Why do we regret things from our past and want to correct them? We have found out, the fear involved did not bring to us the joy and best regards from the public or the person's observing and receiving. Practice Joy and ethics, always. Buyer beware- you have other places to purchase recreational vehicles. RV Outlet does not stand by their customers or take care of major issues. Shop and buy from any one other than RV Outlet. I purchased a used trailer and was told everything was in good working order. We were rushed through our orientation but was told by our salesperson we could come back and we would be taken care of. On our first outing we noticed our water heater did not work. It was a major ordeal to have it even looked at. We discovered that our roof decking has several areas that have significant water damage. The cost to repair the roof is more than the value of the trailer. I know RV Outlet knew about the roof as it was a recent trade in before we purchased it. They do get 1 star because they offered to split the cost of the roof repair HOWEVER the trailer should have never been sold- it was and is UNSAFE. We bought our first travel trailor 3 years ago from them and have had nothing but troubles with the trailor. Beware! If you go RV-ing in an RV Outlet rig, this too could happen to you!! On 8/28/13 RV Outlet LLC traded me a 2002 Fleetwood Fiesta motor home for my 2002 Teton fifth wheel (NADA $21K - $25K). RV Outlet inflated the value of the Fiesta to $22,995, whereas the NADA lists the book at $11K - $15K. From the beginning RV Outlet tried to muscle me into the trade and when I asked to have my mechanic look at the Fiesta, they stated that they were prohibited from having outside individuals on the lot. RV Outlet insured me that everything on the rig (from the engine to the appliances) would be functioning at the time of my PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) and my mechanic suggested I purchase an extended warrantee on the Fiesta. I purchased an $800 warrantee (which the salesman stated would cover the motor and all appliances) when we finalized the trade on 8/28/13. To make a long, sad story short, my daughter, cats and I ended up stranded in the sticks outside Spokane with a blown head gasket over the Labor Day weekend. I cannot begin to describe the stress. The warrantee did not cover "gaskets" and the reputable Spokane Ford dealership that completed the repairs stated that the entire engine was not only full of rust, but they had to scrape gunk from around all the pistons. A trip that was supposed to take 48 hours took over a week, and I had to rent a U-Haul to make it to Montana to start my job. I then had to drive back to Spokane to pick up the Fiesta after only one week on my new job. RV Outlet was fully aware of my situation and prior to taking possession I asked the service staff repeatedly whether they were sure the Fiesta was road worthy. The only reason I made it to Montana was by expending ninety percent of my savings and maxing out my credit card. After arriving in Montana I contact the salesman who sold me the rig he said, "Well, you made it half way there and the warrantee should cover the repairs"; to date, RV Outlet management has not returned my calls. I will be sleeping on the floor of my new apartment, because I have expended the money I'd saved to purchase furniture. How do these people sleep at night? read more

Stopped by to check out a trailer that didn't have the price posted online. Was greeted by a really nice sales guy, walked us straight to the trailer, told us all about it. When I inquired about the price, he told me the trailer had been on the lot for longer than they'd like, and their owner would cut me a really good deal. Was told we should go inside to get the price. I typically don't do this for a price, but against my better judgement, I rolled with it. Once inside, the owner limply shook my hand, and told me to pop a squat(literally). Pulled out a book which I figured to be their prices, but was instead a credit application. I reiterated that I was first looking for a price, not my credit ran, and made a joke to lighten the mood. Didn't even get a laugh from the joke, and was told, "well that ain't how you get the real deal around here." Having a lending background, I got up and quipped, "Ahhh I see, the real deal comes when you find out how much I make, and how much of a monthly payment I can afford. Good job violating the fair lending act. Have a nice day." I would highly advise to steer clear of this place. Looked at what was advertised as an 30 Montana 5th wheel. Talked with Mike and then Kathy. I told her what I could spend. She talked with Jack, the manager. He said the owner wanted to sell, so later that day I emailed an offer that Kathy said would fly. The could not find the emailed offer. I sent another to the address given to me. Lost again. I emailed it again to Kathy's personal email. We negotiated a price. I gave them my credit card number for a $1,000 deposit. I was told the owner agreed to the price. Later that same day Jack calls back. BIG MISTAKE! ERROR!. There were two Montanas and serial numbers got switched. Owner of the one I wanted would not sell it for that price, said he credited my credit card, said he would give me a super duper price on another unit. If there were negative stars, I would give them. Drove 1300 miles, after being told half truths on a 5th wheel deal for three months. Owner of RV Outlet would not allow us to see the title and told us either give up our check, or turn around and get in your truck and drive home. Took our rv in on consignment a year and a half ago. The paperwork and advertising was never dine correctly. We went to pick it up a year and a half later.. 7/2/2015. We were rushed through and told it was ready to go. Plugs were missing and when we got home, plugged it in and put the pop out out...it was broken. we could see boards have been pried out and screws were taken off. We called to inquire about repair, but were threatened to be sued for slander. I was told that a tech would call back to troubleshoot and never was. I spoke to one owner, Dennis, that said he would call back and was not. The other owner, Ron , called back. He was as bad as the "sales manager". I was told they " might" cover the cost to fix it if we brought it in. I cant bring it in because it's not legal to drive with the pop out "out". They have broken it and not fixed it. We did not leave our rv there on consignment in that condition, they did not initially advertise as promised, and they refuse to fix what they have broken in a reasonable manner......not to mention they are rude.
