They charged me a staggering $800 just for a basic capacitor and the labor to install it. They claimed a universal fan motor would not fit my HVAC unit. They lied to me and said that my unit would only fit the expensive manufacturer model for $2,400. I called a second company for a backup opinion. They easily installed a universal fan motor with zero issues. The total cost for parts and labor was a fraction of what F. HRR quoted me.This company is dishonest and overpriced. Save your hard-earned money and call a different HVAC service instead.

I'm one of the lucky former customers who called to schedule a maintenance appointment for a water tank flush, left a message, and never heard from them. Perhaps it was because I mentioned the $49 promotion that they offer on their website, that they didn't bother returning the call. Two weeks later on a Saturday, I contacted The Plumbing Officials who responded within 10 minutes and offered to do the job that day but I scheduled the job for Monday. That's how service is supposed to work. It's appears that the new company is only looking for volume and their work isn't what it used to be. To get a better idea, check out the reviews for FH Furr on yelp, It ain't pretty. Fun fact: FH Furr doesn't allow you to opt out of receiving ALL emails from them. Sure, you can stop the marketing emails, but they force you to select from a list of the ones you want. There's no "Leave Me Alone" option, so if you are a previous customer, you will continue to be contacted.

Long story short, this contractor bust suspense and went over budget - two things that are super important for contractors. On top of that Mr. Dale Hurt (owner) damaged the property and did not take accountability for his actions. When I addressed my concerns he became very disrespectful and threatening to both myself and elderly mother. Because Mr. Hurt breached contract and damaged my mothers property I did not pay him the remainder of the contract until he agreed to work with me to fix what he'd broken. He was content with leaving my mother without lights and power in bedrooms and sued me for the remainder of the contract. I countersued for the damages and breach of contract. The judge took one look at the pictures included here (Mr. Dales attempts at staining hardwoods) and ruled in my favor. This post is not to bad talk a contractor because there is plenty more I could say, it is to warn the next person who might not have the money to go to court to fight for what's right. It is to prevent the next older person from being taken advantage of. And hopefully, will help Mr. Dale do better work and stay professional. At least to die unto others the way he would want someone to do towards him. Operate ethically, and have some integrity. Further, due to my interaction with this person, I'm sure he'll post a retort, when he does know that I'll not go back and forth with him here, but if you want more specific details please contact me here and I'll give you more details if it will help you make a decision.

The owner was also very responsive to any questions/ issues we had. We did have an accident happen that caused us to go without power for one night, but Greg (owner) took care of everything and even offered to bring a generator out right away. The issue happened on Sunday afternoon and we were fine without power for one night (we didn't feel like it was necessary for them to rush a generator over to us right away, but they offered and that is what matters). Greg was at our house with the generator at 6:30 am on Monday. I never had an issue with reaching them - as some reviews have said. I would definitely recommend them.

They worked all day on a Saturday to get ahead of a serious rainstorm forecast for the next day. In addition, they also replaced the flashing under an exterior door along with some adjacent siding. As often happens, they discovered and fixed some additional problems while doing these repairs, such as a small fix to skylight flashing that (hopefully) solved a leak that wasn't even on their original scope of work. The final cost was only a little more than their original estimate (very reasonable). We were very impressed with AHE's communication and work ethic. We plan to use them again for other work on our aging wood siding house.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I had a horrible experience when they replaced…read moremy bathtub with a walk-in shower. 1) The job took 3 days instead of 1. 2) Measurements were all wrong, so my tub and drywall were removed before I was told that they did not have a shower kit that would fit the space needed. Only the shower pan fit. 3) I still need to find someone to finish the walls. 4) The icing on the cake of my bad experience was that they made some long scratches on my hardwood floor, yet are refusing to take responsibility for it because there were already some older scratches. They are totally disregarding the evalution that my flooring guy gave and continue to focus on the older scratches and say that they cannot take responsibility for them because there were already older scratches... they used no flooring protection, not even a drop cloth or paper, yet they take no responsibility for the damage. 5) No professional personel. I was sworn at by the technicians when I showed them the damage of the floor. When I called the office to report the damage, they said that they would send their flooring guy to evaluate it, but the "customer service representative" came to take some pictures but mainly came to pressure me into paying instead. He said that the owner would not address the damage until I paid in full, even though that is the only leverage I have other than leaving a bad review.. so here I am leaving a bad review. You have been warned.

Turns out there was an electrical issue that wasn't communicating with the thermostat. Brandon's as the tech who came out. Before entering our home he put shoe covers on so not to track in debris. Thankful they have 24/7 service with technicians on call after hours. It was $149 for him to come out and do a diagnostic, and he scheduled for a sales guy to come out the next day to talk numbers about installing a new heat pump and thermostat. Very professional technician and explained things to us as well as over the phone.

Cost for replacement of those components through Air Excellence was quoted $1,200 parts only. Cost of replacement from another company $325.00 parts and labor for install. Cost of parts from trane directly $175.00 The price gouging and extreme markups were extremely disappointing. This has happened to numerous people (37) since my Nov. install. It's your choice but I will not be contacting them for any work in the future.
