Big ripoff! I dropped off two heads to have resurfaced and pressure tested. They had them for a…read moreweek and never contacted me. When I called he says his milling machine is broken and he can take them to his buddy's to do them. I say let's get them done. Another week later they are finally ready. He charges me $335. This is a $150 to $200 job at any other shop. When I questions the bill he says they charge hourly. I think all he did was take them to another shop and double charge me. I will never step foot in that place again and bad mouth them any time I get the chance.

I dropped it off Friday, was quoted $40 and told it would be ready in a couple of days. Monday i get a call saying it's ready. Tuesday i pick up. They want $65 plus tax. I scoff stating i was quoted $40. I get a response something along the lines of "Well it's $65, so unless you want to leave it here...". The gasket surfaces weren't clean. There was still a bit of grease embedded in the casting. I asked why it wasn't very clean, and they said "Well you can't put it in the hot tank." (No sh!t, A{}hole, it's caustic to aluminum, this isn't my first rodeo, i used to work in a machine shop). Apparently they don't even have a jet/steam cabinet and they WASHED IT IN THE SOLVENT TANK, or so they said. I got it home, cleaned up the mating surfaces, blew it out with the compressor and found glass bead (sand) all throughout the lifter bores and oil galleys. They didn't bead blast it, nor did I ask them to. It should not have had ANYTHING in it and should have been in a bag. Not sitting out on a stool in the open like it was when i went to pick up. The men that work here are not men at all. They are scoundrels that should not be trusted. They do shoddy work. Check google, they have many awful reviews. I hope the business goes under soon, because it's a waste of space. This experience with Jim Green's was more of a barometer to see what kind of work they do, as i do a lot of work on mitsubishi performance vehicles for myself and others. They'll not ever see my face in their shop again, let alone a penny from my coffers. I actually contemplated taking this particular head to the car wash and blasting it off because it wasn't even all that filthy. Customer lost a timing belt and some exhaust valves got bent. No cracked guides, and everything else checks out, so I just wanted to be working with clean parts, not throwing it together with grime and grit all getting in the way. I should have taken it to the car wash. I would have saved about $60 and whole lot of frustration. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CLOWNS FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER!!

I know of many local companies who chose to get their parts from here as well, because you're going to get the right part the FIRST time. The owner is a fantastic person; who does his part to help the whole community any chance he gets. I can't speak more highly of any auto parts store. *I read the other guy's review on here, I think he was dealing with an employee that isn't working there any more for obvious reasons.

So I had to then call them back and have the guy tell me "Nah...that's just how those parts are, it may not look exactly like the one that was in your car as they are designed to fit many models of cars". So I go back to my car, and sanity check myself that NO, it is not the right part. It was then that I called back and we figured out the problem. Okay, no problem...one error that anyone could do. It was a little frustrating to finish removing all of the parts of my car and wait another day to complete the repair, but I understand these types of things happen. So then I go back the next day to pick up my new (correct) part and also turn in my core for the rebate (if you don't know, you get money back if you bring in your old part) and I ask them "Do you just give me cash for the part or does it go back on the card?" and they told me that it will go back on the card and according to the receipt it has already been handled. I thought this was a little strange as I had not brought in the core until that minute, so I was confused as to how it was "already handled", but I rolled with it. After waiting 3-5 business days, I still saw nothing in my bank and called to check on this. As I suspected, they had no record of processing the rebate at all and I needed to come back in to reswipe my card and get that money back. After that, I still had to wait an additional 3-5 days for the money to get in my account. I am a very patient person, I took all of these as simple mistakes, but as I am reviewing this place I still have to document them and express that while I understand that mistakes happen, I didn't have a pleasant experience with this personally. It was a LOT of back and forth with them on the phone and I just don't have time for all of that. And at the end of the day, all I got was a "Ah, yeah...sorry, man, haha". So, in conclusion the part is fine and the price was acceptable, but they need to drink a little more coffee or something because these mistakes don't need to happen for a first time customer on a first time visit. I hope I am an isolated case.

Highly recommend this dealer due to the quality people and seamless transaction!…read more We had a great experience with Rairdon's of Monroe. The salesman Mike H., was awesome to work with, and partnered with us to make sure we got the car and the deal we wanted. He also took the time to educate me and my family on every feature in the SUV and the little details most people overlook. if the quality weren't enough of a reason to be have a great experience, it was all completed within 3 hours! I was thrilled! Keep it up. Thank you!

Our salesperson Randy became completely unreachable. When we called back and asked to work with someone else, we were connected with Vincent -- and refused. When we asked to speak to a manager, the manager wouldn't come to the phone. When we asked about negotiating on price, they just stopped calling us back entirely. No answer, no follow up, no basic professional courtesy. And before they respond claiming we were trying to lowball them -- we never even got that far. We couldn't get anyone on the phone long enough to have that conversation. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable. We were asking for a callback that never came, a manager who wouldn't engage, and a salesperson who had disappeared. This wasn't a negotiation gone wrong. This was a dealership that couldn't meet the bare minimum standard of basic customer communication. And then there's this: Vincent was rude and dismissive on the phone, and the rudeness escalated noticeably the moment he realized he was speaking with me -- a woman -- rather than my husband. Let that sink in. In 2026 this dealership is still operating like my money is worth less than my husband's because of my gender. We took our business elsewhere. Don't waste your time or your money here. There are dealerships that will actually treat you like a human being regardless of who answers the phone.
