Hired Mike to repair twisted garage door tensioner and re-track the door. He came over and diagnosed that we needed a new motor for our garage door opener. He took the time to call the manufacturer to see if they would replace the motor. Unfortunately the model was out of stock so he searched online and found a new motor at a local store. Sorry for delay in posting this. December '17 we decided to replace our chain link operated garage door with another opener that was quiet and did not wake us or the neighbors. On a Saturday morning last December, Michael came and easily replaced that noisy 20-year-old opener within a couple hours. Our new belt-drive opener has worked without fail and it's so quiet, even upstairs in our home, we barely notice it. Therefore , I recommend "locking" the garage door itself once you're in for the night. Fast forward to today and the garage door opener breathed its last this afternoon after I opened the garage and it stayed open until I manually shut it. My first experience with Mike at Rx Garage Doors started last August when he replaced both of our garage doors. He came out right away, gave us many options and installed our doors as promised, on time, on budget, and follows up to make sure we were happy. I arrived home this past Friday night at 6:00 PM (almost one year after he installed the doors) and when I opened my door I saw a screw hit the floor, upon examination I noticed the bracket holding the spring rod was coming loose. I've been ghosted..... I've used this business in the past and Michael did a good job for me. I had a loose control button and squeaky wheels on my garage door. He was prompt and completed the work quickly and didn't brake the bank. I'm not sure what has changed, but I called him the other day to make an appointment to replace the rubber seal around the bottom of my door. After calling multiple places for quotes, I figured there are so many dishonest companies. I had one company come out and tell me they didn't have parts for my garage door unit and I needed to install their new unit. Some other companies charge more for their labor before knowing what they are working on. I got a quote over the phone with RX & they could fit me in the same day. I called late afternoon on Saturday (after calling two other companies that were no help), and Michael said he would be out in an hour. I backed my car into the garage door and my car was stuck and the door was broken. This month Mike did 2 jobs for me, installing MyQ* wi-fi garage door opener systems at 2 houses for me: - He was very responsive whether I left a voicemail, e-mailed, texted or called him. I described the 2 jobs and he quoted me great prices and gave me a run-down on what he'll do (install the new openers, do garage door inspection/maintenance, etc). He showed up on time at the House 1 job and about 10 minutes early (which is great for me) for the House 2 job. - He works fast. At Job 1 (the bigger job) he got it done in about 2 hrs and at Job 2 (one-car garage door) he got it done in about 1 hr 20 min. I found an excellent review on Yelp and called for an estimate (July). He was very detailed, thorough and gave the pros and cons of the different types of garage motors. Because I was calling months before our home would be completed, he emailed me a quote and told me he'd only need a 24 hour notice to install. Our home builder offered to install the garage for $500 with no exact details of what it included and what type of motor they were going to install. I also called another company for a quote and was rushed through the conversation spitting out the specs and price. The week of Thanksgiving, I called Mike to check availability for the following week. I didn't expect anyone to be working over Thanksgiving. Surprisingly, he volunteered to come on Wednesday (day before Thanksgiving). He texted 30 minutes before arrival just making sure I would be home and arrived on time. There were some installation issues due to the HOME BUILDER, nothing to do with Mike's work/installation/product. He asked to come back on Friday to try to remedy the situation and did so as promised. The Home Builder left dead wires (no power) where the interior open/close button should go so Mike installed the open/close button on the exterior of the wall (inside the garage) and made it very clear that he would come back once the Home Builder fixed the wiring issue. Once installed, Mike went through the emergency open/close, the interior open/close button, the exterior key pad to open/close the garage, the fobs that you can keep in your car, the reset button and lights on the actual motor, safety, etc. etc. Needless to say it was the most thorough instructions of a garage motor/door and felt highly satisfied with his services. My car is the only car that has the ability to program a garage opener in my rear-view mirror so he instructed me to order a $7 repeater in order for this function to work. Because it had to be mailed to me, he also promised to come back yet again to program this for me. I should also add that we liked the feature of being able to open/close the garage door from an app on our iPhones and also know when the garage door is open/closed so he installed the appropriate thing to do that at an additional cost. We appreciated him keeping up with technology and being able to offer those services to us. Our garage has been working excellently and we are highly satisfied with our purchase and Mike's service. He has been highly responsive to my phone calls for setting up the additional appointments to complete the installation. I highly recommend Mike for your garage door/motor needs. read more

I've used RX Garage Repair twice now and each time was an excellent experience. My first time was needing the motor replaced. They were able to come out the next day and showed up when they said they would (which is very rare for any type of service these days) and they replaced it so quickly. I was very pleased! The second time was on a Sunday morning. My garage would try to open and then crash down after opening a foot or two. I couldn't even open it with the handle so I had no way of leaving my house. I didn't expect them to be able to fix it same day, especially on a Sunday. I called and they were at my house within 30 minutes! They inspected it, turns out the springs on the door needed to be replaced since it was old hardware that came with the house when it was built. They had everything to replace it already and it was fixed within 20 minutes. I am so impressed with their quality of work and customer service.
