    Napoleon- soo good!
    Lucy O.

Loved my experience at Ryan Bros in City Heights! I had fun and really enjoyed everything I ordered. I had to try their summer espresso flight! It was so good. It comes with strawberry, blueberry, banana, and coconut lattes. Not only were they delicious, but they were so cute! They were decorated with little umbrellas and fruits:)! My favorite out of the lattes was definitely the coconut. It had just the right amount of sweetness and was strong too. I really liked that it came with toasted coconut flakes as well. The banana latte was my second favorite. All the lattes come with a house-made fruit puree and cold foam. The server did recommend that the lattes are mixed well to really get all the flavors. She also mentioned that their summer menu drinks are available until August 30th. I asked our cashier which pastry he recommended and he said the napoleon. It was excellent. It's a flaky, yet buttery pastry with this yummy cream inside and powdered sugar with almonds on top! So good. My mom also ordered the Greg's smoothie which she really enjoyed. It has açaí, blueberry, strawberry, banana, honey and a milk base. Other than the amazing drinks and food, the service was wonderful. Super kind and welcoming staff. They all were so helpful with their recommendations and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has plenty of tables to sit inside and their bathroom was very clean and well stocked.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like that they are open every day from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during weekdays and from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during weekends. There is street parking near the coffee shop. I would love to come back and try their other lattes such as the Mamá Celia latte the next time I'm in SD. I was told they make that one with piloncillo which sounds incredible.

Nothing but great things from this little shop. The matcha and coffee flight was so fun to share. Workers were very nice and had this nice chill vibe inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good spot to bring friends visiting San Diego.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came in for the viral matcha flight! After seeing all the videos I was a bit disappointed. All the drinks tasted like flavored milk. The presentation was nice! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was colorful and went with the season.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came in on a Wednesday afternoon, or flights were made with care and promptly. They were so beautiful and very tasty. They even have little holiday cookies and pastries to enjoy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very relaxing getting to drink our coffee with a view and great environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking was a little tough, but that's expected with El Cajon Blvd .

I was once hooked on this spot so it'll always have a special place in my heart - especially for the workers. They're all extremely, so nice! The service was always consistent too, so 5 stars for that. The coffee is bomb.com. They have so many flavors and seasonal lattes as well. Of course, I always add an extra shot because I like my coffee stronger rather than sweet. Favorites: Mexican mocha - always a go-to, this one hits the spot. Cafe de Olla latte - super good. Mama Celia - also amazing. All with oat milk. If you prefer sweet coffee, this is your spot. The staff is super friendly and helpful - at one point, I could only do sugar-free coffee, and they were always kind enough to make my cold foam sugar-free too, which was beyond helpful for my health process. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the shop itself. They're very festive, and the Christmas decor is my favorite - so cute and in the spirit![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've had a chocolate croissant here before, but they sell out quickly, so I'm lucky if I grab one occasionally. I haven't tried the coffee flights yet, but that's on my list. Parking can be tricky if you plan to stay, but for grab-and-go, there's a side spot in the alley you can usually pull into, and I normally call in my order on my way to work - super convenient. Overall, I absolutely love this spot and everything about it - the coffee, the staff, and the cozy festive vibes. Definitely a five-star experience.

I didn't realize that not all their locations had seasonal coffee flights until I went to one of their other locations. Turns out this location is the only one that did seasonal flights, and I finally made the time to check it out! The location that I went to is located next to B&S Caribbean Food Market Multi Services LLC and across of Buggy Bath Car Wash on University Ave in City Heights. The area was more on the industrial side rather than the foodie area. There's free street and residential parking all around the area. The question is if you're able to get a parking close to the shop. My friends and I got their seasonal summer flights of both espresso and matcha. This summer had matcha flights which my friend, Ashley F., was really looking forward to! Aside from the base, the two flights were relatively similar with one drink differing. The espresso flight consisted of: - Banana Latte - yum, this was good! This was a nice mixture of banana and coffee without wasn't too overpowering. Really good. - Horchata Latte - my least favorite. I thought I liked it at first but over time when I continued drinking it, it wasn't as great in my opinion. - Coconut Latte - similarly to the banana latte, it wasn't overpowering. It was very good as well. - Vanilla Affogato - my favorite. I love strong coffee, and affogatos usually hit the spot. This one definitely did! It was a bummer that it was the tiniest drink (peep pic) because it was just an espresso shot + small scoop of vanilla ice cream. The matcha flight consisted of: - Banana Matcha - a delicious combination. Ashley's boyfriend, Jeremy O., was on a quest for banana matchas, and this one really hit the spot. I also thought it was really good as there was the banana flavor but wasn't too overpowering or competing with the matcha. - Mango Matcha - another delicious combination, but I thought this was a bit too sweet as they used a mango syrup. - Coconut Matcha - honestly, this was all our favorite. The coconut really enhanced the matcha, giving it a really fragrant flavor. It's no wonder there are so many coconut and matcha combinations! - Vanilla Affogato - it was like eating ice cream! So nice. The one that least stood out of the four. Honestly, we all loved the seasonal matcha drinks the most! I definitely loved the coconut and banana matchas. I definitely will be back before the season ends, and the matcha drinks leave!

This place is known for their flights and it was just about what everyone ordered at this spot. For the flights it's dine in only, FCFS, and stops at 2pm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was nearly full be we managed to grab a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The barista was super helpful and friendly, and it was so much fun trying all the different flavor profiles. I'm looking forward to what they're going to put out next!

I get the Jack's Pig breakfast sandwich here & it is so good especially with a pack of the Tapatio sauce. I also did order an açaí bowl and the container did come out broken then later on when I was almost down, I found the piece of broken plastic on the bottom. I let the staff know & they kindly refunded me the money for the açaí bowl. The açaí bowl was okay, i did ask if they could add coconut flakes to give it some flavor. I think I'll just stick with the breakfast sandwich here. The inside is nice with all the plants though it can sometimes get busy. I like the table facing out to University as I can sit & eat & enjoy watching the cars go by. The staff are friendly & welcoming. It's a great spot except parking can be tricky to find. I usually park by El Super and walk over.

Yay for coffee flights in San Diego!! I loved this one. It had four shots in each cup. They were all yummy. My favorite one was the affogato. It was busy on a Saturday morning, but the staff was amazing and so friendly. Ambiance is cute and quaint. There's plenty of seating inside. Not too much space but enough to enjoy your coffee! I saw people working, studying and having some nice girl time. They have a tiny area with products to buy. I love the decor. It was giving a homey vibe. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is its location. Saw a couple homeless people on my way in who weren't very friendly. Other than that - I totally recommend this spot! They have amazing coffee. Matcha available for non coffee drinkers too. And they change their flights seasonally. So fun and festive!!

Ryan Bros offers cute, seasonal espresso and matcha flights which are delight for the eyes and also your taste buds. I opted for the matcha flight and was amazed at their banana and coconut matcha latte. I love that their banana matcha latte actually has banana flavor in the drink, not just a flavored foam topping on the matcha. The coconut matcha is in my definitive list of top 3 matcha lattes; the coconut milk in the drink was rich, creamy, and absolutely dreamy. I'm surprised more coffee places don't utilize whole coconut milk because it's a game changer. I might even try to recreate it at home, that's how obsessed I am with their latte! Amazing place, definitely would love to return just to try their coconut matcha latte again. 10/10 on my recommendation list for fun matcha latte!

This little coffee shop has become my go to for cute flights and on point pastries. I come here often when they post their season flights and they DELIVER. I've gone for Christmas & Valentine's and both times I've gone away thrilled to have tried. I love that it's family owned and can tell with every drink/food they put the effort in. Will definitely keep coming back!!

Very disappointing hot chocolate. One of the two things I drove down to San Diego from Orange County for but it ended up just being slightly flavored warm milk with a lot of toppings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was aesthetic and the ambience was nice at least.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I definitely wouldn't come back for the hot chocolate, I hope that we just got a bad batch or that their coffee is better than what we had. Maybe I had high expectations, I hope that they can redeem themselves in future visits!

    Ginger L.

I heard about these festive coffee flights last year but never made it in until Friday! I love coffee and I love the holidays so had to check it out. I ordered the Christmas Espresso Flight and it was really good! The Eggnog flavor was a little too sweet for me (and I love eggnog) but overall I really liked them. I definitely want to come back and try the hot cocoa flight and other coffee flavors. The lady that helped me wasnt very nice but the lady who dropped off my coffee flight was really nice and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really cute spot but also not a ton of space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely recommend to check this place out if you like coffee! PS - I heard the other locations do not offer the same holiday flight

It's got the decor, chairs, and art to match. Jessica was our server and she was amazing! She gave us lots of suggestions on what to try and what is on the menu since it was my first time here. She recommended the bloody Mary flight so did grab that to try! We also ordered the biscuits and gravy to share and orange juice. The portions are so large! So I am glad we decided to share the biscuits and gravy but let me run down each thing. Bloody Mary Flight: Honestly every single one was amazing. My favorite was definitely the pickle Mary! Everything tasted so delicious and was garnished beautifully. Well worth the 22 dollars. Biscuits and Gravy: Absolute perfection of comfort food. The biscuits were so fluffy and well seasoned. The gravy was also soooo good, just like my mom makes. The sausage in it was also cooked so well and juicy. I've never tried mashed potatoes with the biscuits and gravy but it worked very well! Orange Juice: Not a fan really, not pulpy enough and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. Overall this is definitely a must visit! I will definitely be back.

All 6 of us had our own dishes, but I would highly highly recommend ordering a couple dishes and sharing it family style if you're dining with a group. One note I did have about Hash House is how overstimulating the menu is lol. The menu had a lot of clashing fonts, colors, and clip art images, it made it hard to digest the menu. I didn't even notice some menu offerings because of how busy the menu was. Also, our waitress did initially charge us for 6 coffees, even though we only had 3. It was a good thing we caught that error on the receipt before paying. Overall, the food at Hash House is definitely worth coming back for.

From what I could tell, there was only the bartender, one server, and possibly the manager working the floor. There may have been another employee, but regardless, they handled the rush incredibly well. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and kept things moving despite being clearly understaffed. The place itself is super cute and has a really fun atmosphere. There are TVs everywhere, making it a great spot to catch a game, and they have a nice craft beer selection. What I ordered: * Chimichurri Sliders ($16) - One of their specials. You get two sliders with no fries, so I'm not sure how much of a "special" it really is. They were decent, but nothing memorable or worth going out of your way for. Overall, I'd definitely come back to grab a beer and watch a game because the vibe is great. Food-wise, though, I found it pretty mediocre for the price. Burgers are around $25 with fries, and the appetizers (or "bites") range from $18-$25.. I was still hungry after the sliders and wanted to order a side of fries, but they don't list sides or prices on the menu, so you have no idea what anything costs. I ended up passing because they only offer steak fries, which just aren't my favorite. One big bonus is that they're dog-friendly, which I always appreciate. If you're looking for a fun place to watch sports, enjoy a beer, and hang out with friends, I'd definitely recommend it. Just don't come expecting the food to be the highlight.
