I've been coming here for about 8 years now, Dr. LaFrom and staff are all wonderful. I like that they use all the latest and greatest gadgets and technology, but more importantly, Dr. LaFrom is a talented dentist and knows his stuff, with or without the gadgets. (As an aside, he also has a real knack for numbing. I never feel a thing, and I used to have major issues with some of my previous dentists in that department. I am so relaxed there I have even nodded off in the chair once or twice.) I've had some major (much needed) work done in addition to regular cleanings, and I have always gotten a very fair and knowledgeable quote and treatment plan prior to any work being done. Dr. LaFrom genuinely cares about his patients and it is apparent in every aspect of his practice, from making sure each patient is greeted by name when they walk in the front door, to the extra time he spent making sure my crown/implant exactly matched the color of my existing teeth. Even though I now live in Belmont, I still make the drive down to Cupertino for my dental appointments because it is so worth it to have a dentist you can trust and rely on. I love these folks. You owe it to yourself to come here. I recently asked Dr. Senft if he could fix a food trap that was between two of my teeth and causing a lot of problems. He had me come in and took pictures using all his modern equipment. He then spent some time doing research to make sure he could actually improve the situation. He then brought me back and replaced the crown and it was perfect! Perfect fit and problem solved! I also came in today for what felt like what might be a cavity. Dr. Senft took a look and fixed it in less than an hour! These folks know what they're doing. The office staff is fun and professional, the hygienist does a great job keeping my teeth clean. Dr. Lafrom is a very talented dentist who is good at identifying problems and recommending the best route to health. If you ever require specialist work and he knows someone better, he has no problem referring you. His interest is your well-being. His hiring choices are impeccable as he has an eye for skillful and caring people. I'm not a rich man, but some things are just worth it and if you care for your teeth the way he teaches you how, costs are minimal and routine cleanings are painless. After seeing Dr. LaFrom and his staff for over four years now and experiencing a wide range of treatments I would highly recommend LaFrom Dentistry for your future dental needs. I am very afraid of dental procedures and look for a dentist that will work with my fears and not make me feel guilty about them. For example I personally like to have my teeth cleaned with the traditional "scraper" and refuse to allow cleanings with the water pick method. The LaFrom office has always been understanding about this and gladly uses the older method to clean my teeth. In regards to the technology he uses everything appears to be very advanced and X-rays are extremely thorough which gives me confidence with the possible treatments I may need. I personally like to understand why I need something and Dr LaFrom explains in detail what will happen or what he will be doing. Dr LaFrom is also very gifted in how he gives his local anesthetic because I did not feel nearly as much pain as I expected or remembered in the past from other dentists. I was very afraid and he was extremely patient with my anxiety about the anesthetic and drilling necessary for my fillings. He would allow me to have short breaks and continually asked if I was ok while he worked on my mouth. In addition while performing treatments Dr LaFrom seems to go above and beyond when performing treatments he takes his time and if he sees a concern he addresses it immediately. Dr. Senft is very professional and caring. His manner is very gentle. He treats you as if you are the most important patient to him. He is very knowledgeable and always employs the latest technology and techniques for the most effective treatment. I had to have an implant tooth adjusted (expanded with filler) because my remaining bottom teeth had shifted leaving a gap. It took several tries to get it just right, but he was very patient the whole time. He also measured for a retainer which I will pick up in a couple of weeks. During this visit I also had an older crown replaced because I had chipped it. It's so nice having all that done in house. All this was completed in just under two hours and with no discomfort. And the next morning I actually got a phone call to see how I was doing. This made a big impression on me. It's a true testament on how he cares for his patients. I've been gifted with poor teeth, and over my 80 years I have seen many dentists. How lucky I was when a friend recommended Dr. Senft. He is gifted. I had a large molar pulled and an old tooth that had been crowned, both had developed infections. He also put in an implant in the smaller tooth. I was amazed. There was very little discomfort and now on the second day, there is none, absolutely no discomfort. I having been seeing Dr. Senft since he bought this practice. I am extremely happy with the friendliness and professionalism of the office staff. I often have items to be watched or worked on and never feel pushed to have the work done on anyone's timeline but my own. I feel especially confident in their response to Covid-19 and the procedures they have put into place to ensure safety of staff and patients alike. Not only did they put into place all recommended CDC and ADA guidelines for opening, they also send a detailed email listing the process when you get to their office for your appointment as well as the steps they have taken to become compliant to the new rules and regulations. Nobody enters unless screened. I also appreciate the fact that they are so up to date on the newest dental technology. Dr Lafrom's office is the greatest. I've been seeing him for over a decade now and service is always top notch. He also hires the best dental hygienists. My current cleanings are with Alison who has a careful touch: no pulled lips, or smooshed nose just thorough, meticulous work. I'm lucky to have good dental genes so my teeth are fairly low maintenance but still, they're in the best shape they've ever been. No new cavities in all this time and we've replaced my ugly old metal fillings with almost invisible ones. My husband has terrible teeth (English, don't you know) and he also highly recommends Randy for his thorough care. Dr LaFrom is simply the best dentist I've ever had. When I initially moved to the bay area, cupertino was local to me. I've since moved to SF and _still_ come all the way south to see Dr LaFrom and his staff. If you literally have to drive over an hour to see a professional, you know it's a good experience. The office is clean, professional, and very personable. All the staff knows and relates to me. The instrumentation is cutting edge and has saved me from pain and discomfort during my procedures. On tap he's got a supersonic cleaner which the hygene techs use to give me the best clean i've ever had without scrapping or gum trauma. Sand ablation, laser, camera, digital xray, the works. Best thing for me tho is the quality of the work. He spends a lot of time ensuring that after a filling my bite works as expected, and won't cause me problems. I had a recent chip in a filling he did 3 years ago, and he replaced/fixed it from of charge. Warranty on work is a sure sign of quality. I find Dr. LaFrom's staff professional and nice. One thing in particular that sticks out from Dr. Lafrom's service is aggressive over sales. Every time i go there they try to sell me something I find I clearly don't need. Despite I find Dr Lafrom's practice good I hate the fact that almost every time they call me and ask me to reschedule for an earlier appointment. When eventually I go to the office the fact that they try to sell me the same service over and over again, I sometimes find tiresome that they don't keep a record of services Ive already highlighted I don't need or want.
