So let me start by saying the truck itself was a good deal for the money. Miles were right, grapple…read moreboom in great shape, dump box built well. Even with repairs I feel I'm ahead compared to other trucks I've found. The issue is the complete lack of knowledge and/or lying that goes on with these guys. Originally found the truck online as I am 4 states away, after some back and forth with pictures and info I decided to fly down and pick it up. Mind you the whole time I'm being guaranteed a great truck with no issues ready to take a 10+ hour drive back, "fully inspected and ready to go" was the exact phrase. I also asked them about 5 times if they put the truck together (box, boom, frame extension) with the same response of "no sir we did not". Here's the list of problems: Leaking oil cooler, front engine cover leaking oil, harmonic balancer about ready to grenade, water pump failed and coolant line to hydraulics laying on driveshaft ripped apart while driving (they fixed these because I only made it 10 miles away), not one fluid or filter changed in who knows how long, frame extension improperly attached and had to come apart to get fixed, ABS light on for the front and entire rear ABS system unhooked/zip tied up in the rear frame, multiple air leaks, Hydraulic line routing was a mess and had to be reworked..... a grab bag of other issues all totaling $11,000.00 in repairs when I got back. To top it off I get the title and find out that there was no owner in between Baskin picking up this truck at auction in Georgia and only 6 total miles put on it from being a day cab beer delivery truck to the log truck I purchased. Not a chance they didn't retrofit this truck themselves. Make no mistake these guys are professional flippers and know nothing about the trucks they have so bring your own mechanic and be very careful. Don Baskin owns half the town of Covington so use your own people. Just can't trust anybody's word anymore and it's disappointing to say the least.

I drove all the way from California to Tennessee to see a couple of dump trucks that were…read moreadvertised by this company. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the truck was in very poor condition--far worse than what was described or shown online. I was extremely disappointed that the true state of the vehicle wasn't made clear before I made such a long trip. If you're considering buying from this company, I strongly recommend asking for detailed photos, videos, and mechanical reports before making any travel plans. However, videos do not show the true state of the trucks. Honesty and transparency about the real condition of these trucks would go a long way in building trust with customers.

I took my truck in Monday morning as soon as they opened I drop the truck off told them the problem…read morethat I was having which was an exhaust leak on the front part of the manifold on the DD 15 and I had a phantom coolant leak I suspected coming from the EGR cooler because there was no leak under the truck in the engine compartment under the dash no signs of dried coolant that have been sprayed and blown around. There was absolutely no sign of a leak. It wasn't until Friday that they actually looked at my truck for a total of two hours charged me for six hours of diagnostic said they couldn't find the leak and try to charge me $4000 to put on the exhaust manifold when I told them no I picked up my truck a week later and brought it to the house parked it. Let it sit for two hours to cool I went out. I cranked it up to turn the wheel to get into the engine compartment and shut it off. I walked back around to the engine compartment and right there where the exhaust manifold was leaking. It was also spraying out coolant, confirming that the EGR cooler is malfunctioning improperly put in or whatever, but that was covered under warranty so not only did they not find the leak by a trained technician supposedly but they also charged me for that when it should've all been covered under warranty and kept me from running for a week because they decided to take their sweet time about it it's hard enough being an owner operator or a small fleet without having these repair shops gouges if I were you, I would not use tag Truck centers. Apparently Memphis is their corporate office so whatever you do definitely don't bring it to Memphis but if it all possible, take it to any other freightliner you could find and steer clear of tag they're just gonna rip you off take your money and not do anything that they're supposed to do. Worst experience ever. I will never spend another penny at that place.
