this place was very cozy and homey vibes. all food was delish. i ordered the shrimp mac and cheese and it was a massive plate!! great for sharing and flavorful!

The food was amazing! Their meatloaf sandwich and wings are out of this world. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing. 100/10 recommend.

6:30 Reservations on a Friday night and we were escorted to a booth in the bar area. This worked out well for us as we wanted to visit, and so the live music was in the background and was enjoyed. Started with poutines which were described as fabulous, with special mention of the onions and gravy. Entrees included the stew, a burger, the orzo and one other. The burger and fries were very good, and the other diners enjoyed theirs as well. We were able to play a couple games of tabletop shuffleboard too after dinner which was a nice addition to the evening. The manager checked in to make sure all was well and our waitress was very attentive.

We visited for dinner and there was little to no wait, a ton of tables were full. My partner said the wings were flavorful but my shrimp sandwich lacked flavor other than the slaw. Both our beers were almost $20. Staff was friendly but not very personable. Probably won't return.

A wonderful evening at A Restaurant, that understands the first and second rules of being a restaurant. Good food great service. We were a group of six and and from beginning to end, all of us agreed that this restaurant works towards making your dining experience memorable. One of the best waitresses I have ever had paired with interesting and tasteful food.

We are back in Asheville and back at Rye Knot. Service by Lisa was phenomenal, and the food delicious. The weather called for us to eat outside which was lovely. Good music in the background and Bob was able to give us a tour of the distillery/brewery. Fun fact Rye Knot was the first to have a distilling and brewing license in North Carolina.

Open after Helene! Delicious beet salad with Salmon, gin and tonic with lime, ice in a real glass:) not plastic! One of a few restaurants where full service despite the current challenges is happening. Please stop by to support them. Plenty of parking great menu.

Had the best BLT. I wanted to go back for another! We also enjoyed the pretzels...the rye was a nice flavor twist to the typical pretzel.

We tried 4 beers - the surf wax IPA, I surfed the sky, prophetmaker, and the festbier. Surf wax was our favorite! We also ordered a smash burger and both enjoyed it. We both loved the theming in there - macabre and reminded me a bit of the ruin bars in Budapest. Very cool aesthetic. We'd love to return on our next visit and try more of their beers.

Right away the place had a cool vibe, not just a regular brewery where you go in and drink a beer. It had a lot of interesting decor and you could tell they really lean into their own weird, artsy style. The decor was colorful and fun, with murals and random quirky details all around. It kind of had this dark but playful look to it, which somehow worked really good. The beer garden area also gave it a laid back feel, and the whole place had way more character then a normal taproom. The beer menu was creative too. There were plenty of beer choices and I got the Sinister Gaze of the Unapologetic Imperial Stout. With a cool name like that it fit my mood from the heat. With cocoa nibs, sea salt, vanilla bean, and that rich stout flavor, it sounded bold and kind of dramatic, which fits the place perfect.

Almost every beer on the menu is a split batch fermented with two different yeast strains to showcase the resulting differences. It's a great concept, even if you're not into brewing. In terms of the food, it seems like the really leaned into providing something good, well-balanced, and sometimes takes advantage of the yeast and beer being cultivated on site. I had a house salad and some dilly beans for lunch. The house salad was fresh and extremely well balanced. I'm glad they had something vegetable centric available. The dilly beans were good, but quite a bit for a single human. They're probably the type of thing you would want to split among friends. I actually showed up for an event in the evening where they served pizza using dough fermented with one of their yeast strains. That was truly excellent. Nicely balanced, not over the top, with a deeply flavorful crust. If you're in Asheville, I would consider this a must visit destination.

Mrs. K. and I took the two seats at the end and I walked up to the bar to order drinks and dinner. A pint of the "American Style Lager" for me and their "Spicy!" ginger beer that Mrs. K. said was good but not all that spicy. Less than ten minutes later, my chicken wings arrived. They sell them as "a pound" which was good because these were very small wings. Small, but tasty in a sweet/spicy sauce and I ate nearly all of them while slowly sipping that very crushable beer. When it was done, back into the Sprinter van and off to figure out where we're parking for the night. I had tried to make a reservation on their RV parking app but they're booked two or three weeks out! Note: The restrooms are upstairs and they have an elevator. We both enjoyed the Trippel on draft more than bottled that we've previously had. The place was super busy (5 pm on Sunday of Labor Day weekend) but the line kept moving and the bartenders were friendly. There were a bunch of seating options, both inside and outside. We sat near the river and then moved to the covered pavilion when it got warm. There were a lot of yard games to keep people entertained. Two food trucks also on property which were good. There were a ton of kids but it didn't feel like it was overrun with kids or anything like that. They really nailed the vibe of making it welcome to everyone. There were activities for kids to play and they mainly stayed on the lawn section because of the fun stuff they had for them.
