I'm the type of person who is very specific about what I want and I did my homework. I got four different bids for this project, and C2C was the clear winner. Their quote was completely itemized--which I appreciated--and ended up being well under every other retail bid I received. Two people really made the difference: Mary and Bolo. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. The house looks amazing (see the photos of the Blue Thunder Quartzite and the Jade tile!). They were fair, they were fast, and most importantly, they were responsive. I am giving Green Flash 2 stars based on a severely rushed recent inspection and the poor quality…read moreof their past repair work. Recently, I had them come out because I suspected termites in one of our rafter tails. To their credit, they correctly identified that specific spot as just fungus and didn't try to oversell me on treatments I didn't need. However, their inspection was incredibly brief. They spent only a few minutes scanning the house, didn't check the attic at all, and gave us the all-clear. A couple of days later, I had a second company come out for another look. They spent almost an hour doing a thorough inspection and found a severe termite infestation in a different rafter tail that was almost entirely hollowed out. They spotted the signs right through the paint. Green Flash completely missed this. On top of the missed inspection, the wood rot repairs Green Flash did for us 5 years ago (costing about $1,200) have both failed and need to be redone. They spliced a rafter tail that is now loose, and it turns out they miscut a replacement barge board on the back of the house. To cover up the bad cut, they glued a scrap piece of wood over it, which has since detached and is currently hanging off the board. Bottom line: They failed to do a thorough termite inspection, and their carpentry work doesn't hold up. I highly recommend getting a second opinion on their inspections and hiring a dedicated specialist for any actual wood repairs.

Over the years, I've had other handymen pass on the project. I had a handyman who was able to fill the rotted areas with wood filler, sand it, and restain it. I've even had a gate company tell me that they could not save the gate; it would need to be completely replaced. Bill was able to cut out the rotted pieces of wood, replace them, and restain the whole gate (he also repainted the decorative hardware on the door as well). Moreover, he discussed the project with a buddy of his and they determined that the gate was sitting over a muddy part of landscaping which is probably what facilitated the deterioration of the wood. We found some leftover pavers in our storage shed and Bill extended the pavers so the gate would sit over pavers instead of mud. Before he embarked on the wood gate repair, Bill also installed a valance/shade over a window. He made the necessary calculations to ensure that the valance/shade would be centered on the wall and window. He also made sure that the valence was leveled. Bill is honest, meticulous and detail-oriented. If you want someone to treat your project and your home, like it's his own, I would give Bill a call.

Let me start this review by saying you really don't want to ever have to call these guys. That…read moresaid, accidents happen, like maybe you're fooling around near the side of your house and you gently tap the "inspector's test valve" for your sprinkler system. Suddenly all heck breaks loose and you've now got several walls full of water. After realizing exactly what I had done (the fire alarm helped me understand), I called around all the big name companies that do this sort of water damage repair. The quotes I got were ridiculously HIGH. I decided to go local and gave Moe and his team (read: family) a call. Not only could they fit me into their schedule quickly, but they are also a one stop shop, meaning, when they leave your house, it looks just like it did before you broke your sprinkler pipe. Most of those big name companies require you to get someone else to do the drywall/painting part. All the Mold Safe guys that worked on the job were not only related to each other, they were also great workers and great people. They kept everything clean and showed up when they said they would. They kept me in the loop as to what was being done and explained anything I asked questions about. They dried the walls, cut out and replaced the wet drywall and added the matching orange peel texture when they did the final painting. Color matched, perfect finish. And when Ted was finished fixing the hole in the stucco left by the sprinkler system guy (yeah, it has to be a certified professional who fixes anything to do with your sprinkler system, not just any plumber), he went around my house with the left over spackle and fixed several other stucco dings in my house. Above and beyond. Like I said at the beginning, you really don't want to ever have to call these guys, but if you do find yourself in this sort of a situation, don't risk the mold, just call Moe. There's a reason they have dozens and dozens of 5 star reviews here. Highly recommended.

Chase came by the same day to assess the damage and had an estimate ready the very next day. I found the estimate and statement of work to be very professional and reasonable, and accepted it right away. Ted came and performed the work in multiple stages within the same week - demolition and clean-out, drywall replacement, and painting. He was thorough and searched for and treated mold in the carpet, along the walls, and even in the ceiling. Ted was very respectful to us and responsible, and was very knowledgeable. I felt peace of mind that our home would be in good shape thanks to Ted's quality of work. Micah also came with Ted one of the days and was also respectful, skillful and efficient. Gianna from the office was also very responsive and helpful. My wife told me she was impressed with how thorough Ted was. For example, he created a plastic wall to seal off the work area and prevented the rest of the bedroom from getting contaminated and dirty. We will definitely use Mold Safe Solutions for any future incidents that may come up and recommend them highly.

Rytech San Diego is a great company to take care of any water damage you may have. A cracked hose connector in an upstairs bathroom flooded that bathroom along with a bedroom, top of the stairwell, and partially into a 2nd bedroom. Water soaked through the floor and dripped through the downstairs ceiling. A late night call to our insurance lead us to Rytech and they did an excellent job at responding to our urgent needs. I was pleasantly suprised at how quickly they were to assist us as we live in the Southbay and they're based in the North County. Dylan and Antonio were fantastic in providing details on what to expect during the remediation process. They were thorough in their assessment of the water damage, using all the tools of the trade to identify water damage beneath tile floors and behind the drywall. They carefully packed and secured our belongings and moved our furniture so that work could begin without delay. A year ago today, our business suffered a flood. When I called our insurance company, they assured me someone from Rytech would call me asap. Dylan, owner of Rytech, called me within an hour. He came directly over and we began the process of trying to put our building back together. The water damage was extensive, over 6000 sq. ft of damage throughout two floors. My only saving grace was Dylan and his team. They were professional, consistent, always on time, their work was impeccable, and most importantly, Dylan and his team were dependable. When so many other contractors dropped communication, or did not show up, or could not complete the work on time...Dylan and his team stayed on task, worked with OUR timeline, worked around us, because we could not close our doors. I highly recommend Rytech San Diego. I experienced a major pipe leak that flooded my entire home and caused extensive damage to the flooring, cabinetry, and multiple living areas. Three months ago I purchased a new home in Vista CA and realized that there was huge area with black mold and when I called my Insurance company they referred me to Rytech. I have 2 small children i was worried for and I explained to Rytech that it was important that the mold be removed in its entirety because I couldn't feel at ease knowing my children were in danger with the mold in my home. A Rytech employee came out the same day and tested my home, which was at a very high level. The technicians returned to service my home, took their time and within a week they had completed the removal. I have tested my home multiple times since they finished and the mold level has remained at 0!!!! I was so happy to invest in their company. Their technicians were friendly and very profession. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Our church had many water damage problems this rainy season and we didn't know where to start or how to pay for all the remediation or repairs. when we contacted Rytech they advised us to file a claim and told us that they would do what they could to help us with the process with the insurance company. Rytech told us that they would not start any work until the insurance company confirmed that they would cover our claim because they did not want to see the church get stuck with the bill. They where very patient with us and helped answer all questions throughout the process and worked very well with our insurance company. The work got done in a timely manner with no problems or obstacles throughout the duration of the work. Anyone who has experienced damage from a water leak knows how stressful the situation can be. Fast, professional service, reasonable pricing and great communication. I am a real estate broker and was representing a seller on an escrow transaction when the buyer supposedly discovered a small patch of mold in a closet ceiling. We were under deadline to get things resolved with the buyer without breaking the bank, and trying to get the escrow closed on time. I highly recommend these guys. We had some water issues at my church parish hall and we decided to do repairs this year. I wouldn't characterize the sudden burst of water that flowed from our kids' toilet as a storm, but it was an unexpected happenstance that upended our lives for almost three months. Ironically, my wife and I had been contemplating restoring our outdated bathrooms, but I had explained to my wife that we needed to wait until the home interest rates plummeted, so that we could refinance our home in order to remodel our bathrooms. God Is Good All The Time and we know He heard us, but I wouldn't have fathomed that us getting new bathrooms would have occurred this way. We are so thankful to God that He allowed Aaron McFadden, Freddy and his team, and Element Construction and Restoration to be the main contractor that were responsible for the beautiful bathrooms, new flooring, and restoration of the damage that occurred from the water damage. Our home was built in the 1970s, so it's antiquated and prone to have issues such as water leaks and other problems associated with owning an older room. Unfortunately, this is our third time having some type of water issue. We've had a slab leak, a leak from our water heater, and this most recent iteration, a sudden burst of water from our kids' toilet. When this most recent episode transpired, I was a veteran of handling the basics of having to deal with a water leak such as reaching out to my insurance, contacting a plumber, and ensuring mitigation assisted with our situation. What I wasn't experienced about was construction and restoration of three bathrooms, part of our downstairs ceiling, affected walls, and our downstairs flooring. Praise God our go to plumbing company, All American Plumbing, recommended a small business and North County construction contractor named Element Construction and Restoration. The owner of the company and Aaron are family, so it's a family-run business based out of Oceanside. They have work all over San Diego, so they provide service around San Diego County. Full disclosure, I'd rate Element Construction and Restoration 4.5 stars because we did have some delays as a result of wrong materials ordered, but I would give Aaron, Freddy (one of the subcontractors Aaron uses), and Freddy's team 5 stars based on the impressive workmanship, diligence, and how everything that was restored turned out. Writing about their work doesn't do it justice, so please look at the pictures of the project. It truly was a blessing to work with Aaron. He's a friendly dude, has a positive disposition, was overly communicative in a good way, and he was completely transparent about everything including being apologetic for some issues that came up during the project. From the start of the work where Aaron came out to measure things to our final inspection where he scrutinized the work that was done, he was professional and knowledgeable about what we were going to embark on. What I also appreciated about Aaron was keeping my adjuster in the loop and updated about anything that came up from our project. One of the things I want to upgrade in our home is our kitchen, but I'm not looking for God to put us through another storm. If you're in the market for construction, restoration, or renovation of your home, I highly recommend Aaron and Element Construction and Restoration.

I had a leakage in my bathroom and I had a plumber recommend this poorly functioned company and I as a homeowner just needed some help , so I decided to let them come over and take a look and as soon as they came over the first thing they said was to start and file a claim and that they would help me and speak on my behalf to get me approved for all the work they instantly started working on with no prices given to me , after I repeated to my "project manager" apparently they're all project managers , but anyway they started all the work , they made holes , they brought in machines for about an entire month they said to keep all the machines on. When I would try to reach out to them during that time being I'm lucky if I got a text back from someone. The only time I got a respond is when they were ready to come collect their equipment and charge me. At the end of the day I had to pay out of pocket for all the equipment that I asked them multiple times to take it because I didn't want no work done if the insurance was not going to cover any of it , they ended up saying they had to charge me for everything just to end up with a hole on my kitchen. Keep in mind this entire time I want able to use my kitchen because they masked it off the entire time. The best part was when they billed me over the phone they said I hope you refer us to friends , family , neighbors like they had been any type of help at all . If there was a negative star option that's what I would have put .
