I messaged around on Yelp for headlight restoration services. Ramiro had a fair price, but moreover I appreciate a good hustle- he is at the beginning stages of his business and still works full-time elsewhere. It felt good to support a local business, and he is working hard to get his business off the ground so he can spend more time with his family and young kids. I almost went to MAACO for a cheap headlight restoration, but some of the reviews weren't great. I wanted to make sure the person doing the job really cared about doing a good job. Moreover, Ramiro comes to you - so convenient! I parked my car right outside my building to get serviced. Ramiro did an excellent job on my headlight restoration! He has tried different products and advocated for the product he was using on my car. I was surprised at the process - the headlights did not need to be removed, and the results are still high quality! The whole thing took about an hour, and I could go back to my place while he was working - he just texted when he was done. The before and after photos speak for themselves. My car is older, sweet 16 lol, and her headlights never looked so fresh and polished! Besides the cosmetics, I was excited to use these much brighter and safer headlights at night. Ok, so the story goes like this: My car was already in another shop but said shop was taking a long time and the quote given to me was ridiculously high. As a person that knew nothing about cars, I started to wonder if I'm being scammed (I'm untrusting, I'll admit to that!). I reached out to Ramiro on Yelp, basically asked him for a quote to compare to the quote that I was given. Not only was he responsive, he was super detailed and explained everything to me based on the information that I've given him (which really wasn't a lot). I called Romero Torres for my Subaru Outback. I was having issues with lagging in acceleration. He came when he said he would and checked the computer for codes. Possible transmission issues. I was extremely relieved that Ramiro was able to come and help me out so close to the holidays. I originally reached out around Thanksgiving (2 or 3 days before) because my engine light came on and I could already feel there was something wrong with the car. It didn't make any noise but the car would shake a bit. I was stressed out because I knew it was going to be hard to find a shop open so close to Thanksgiving. A few other shops told me they could take my car in just for the diagnosis after Thanksgiving but Ramiro was able to get back to me and let me know he could actually take a look at it before and fix it up after. He was able to give me a diagnosis of 2 possible issues and when he came back to work in the car after Thanksgiving, he was prepared to fix one problem, as well as the second one IF it was an issue. Luckily, it was what he originally thought and then I asked about a previous issue that I went to another dealership quoted me for and he told me that they were giving me too high of a price. He said he could do the repair for half the price! I asked him if it was an urgent matter and told me we could just sit until after the holidays and I appreciated that greatly. We scheduled a day in the new year and he told me he'd reach out closer to that day to confirm. After about a month, he contacted me to remind me about the repair and he was able to come and fix that for me before I had to start using the car more often for work. Ramiro is knowledgeable about cars and the repairs they would need so well that he can tell you what's wrong, how it's supposed to work, and the repair that he's going to do. I had a known issue related to my AC compressor clutch, and he was early to the appointment time, and was very efficient when he was doing the job. I love efficiency! And, here is the best part, his quote was extremely reasonable in terms of price, BUT he went above and beyond here.
