This review is a bit overdue. I had a Pioneer head unit installed in my Envoy a few years ago. Had an issue where somehow I got locked out of it - a pass code was required to "unlock" the radio. After quite some time of trying to research and do it myself, I ended up bringing back to Steve who knew exactly what the issue was and how to resolve it. 10 mins and he had taken care of it for me. Another time recently, I had an issue where my car wasn't starting. I brought it to my mechanic who diagnosed it as the starter. After replacing the starter, all of a sudden the cars starts but the radio wasn't functioning. No idea why that was but I brought it back to Steve again. He quickly diagnosed it as a bad relay (the radio was already 5-6 years old at this point - well out of warranty). This relay could also prevent the vehicle from starting. Steve didn't have the needed relay in stock but was able to get a hold of one within a couple days. He managed to get the old relay replaced under warranty and only charged me for the shipping of the new one. He installed it quickly and all was good again. Steve is a class act. He will take care of you and your car and always provide a fair price. Not many like him around anymore. Hopefully he will continue to be around for years to come. First and foremost, let me start by saying how wonderful Steve is. This guy truly goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure you are satisfied and everything will work as stated. I have previously had my 2007 Honda Accord done with him that included tints, new radio, new speakers, and subwoofer install. It sounded amazing! I have upgraded to a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara and knew he would be my go to guy. His prices are unbeatable. I called all over Chicago pricing around and he beat everyone. I HIGHLY suggest you do the same. He will be realistic on what he can and cannot do for you. After installing my remote starter, about three days later my Jeep would not start. Steve took the time to figure out the problem, as I thought it was his, and it turned out it was my battery. He walked with me to Walmart and then installed the new battery to make sure every worked as installed. He didn't have to waste his time knowing it had nothing to do with his work, yet he took the time to help me out. Not sure how the hell I ended up here!? They open at 10, I beat them all & was able to get in at 10:20. Place & employees are ghetto in appearance. Whole store is gated & locked up tight! Bad neighborhood perhaps? This sounds bad already, but never judge... Anyhow, I was quoted 100 flat to install my Viper 350, basic install. Started on my car at 10:30 & was out before noon. These guys did a GREAT job on my Toyota FJ Cruiser. I had a Viper 5902 security system installed as well as a Rockford Fosgate amp and sub. They did it in about 2.5 hrs and it is a very clean install. They were very honest and didn't try to sell me on anything other than what was legitimately needed to get the job done. They actually called during the install to tell me that after looking further into my car that one of the parts was not needed- definitely honest people. For the additional parts that were needed, they gave me options and explained the differences. The prices on the parts AND service were competitive. Car: Hyundai Sonata 2015 2.0T Limited I couldn't be happier. I was first introduced to my installer, Steve, while browsing YouTube. He was featured in a video (sorry can't find the link) and from it, you just knew he has been in the sound industry for quite some time. At the time, I was looking for quotes for my installation since I had most of the components of the mods (speakers, subwoofer, cords, amp, etc.). I was looking for someone in the Chicago area that could install the parts that wouldn't make me cry a river into my empty wallet. I've spoke to several installers before I called S & A Autosound just to get a feel on how much I would be charged. When I finally called S & A Autosound, I got Steve on the other line. The phone call went smoothly and he asked for me to bring the materials over to him for a better idea on a quote. I complied, and drove out to see him. When I got there, he looked my stuff over and gave me an estimate that I thought was reasonable for what the job entailed. I called later that week to set up a day for him and we followed through with our plans. I simply dropped off my car at 10 AM and got it back the same day. Now for the quality of his work, it's amazing. I wouldn't have been able to make anything as clean as how he put together his vision for my components. He wired everything clean and show car worthy. He tuned my amps with my speakers, so there wasn't any clipping feedback. My car's engine bay had a clean install as well from the battery power source through the firewall into the cabin area. There was minimal wire exposure throughout the cabin that made this customer grin from end to end. There was a small bump in the road that Steve fixed immediately. My car came with parking sensors that relied on a speaker to output the noise when I got too close to a car or object as I reversed. We didn't know that we had to wire in a speaker for that sound to emit, but Steve took me in the following day after the main installation, and fixed it right away. After that minor adjustment was fixed, the car was on the road and ready to jam away to any tune. I couldn't have been happier with how well this process went. Some businesses will try to surcharge you more for bringing in your own material for an install, but not Steve. If you want quality work, I totally recommend bringing your components to him. Also, make sure to check out his Hyundai Elantra. It's pretty sick! read more

In addition they had a coupon for 20 off on the website. I called s&a and was able to get my car in same day. The owner told me exactly what he had lined up for the day and what time I could expect my installation to be complete. I brought it in and and he got my car done quicker than promised. When I arrived he walked me through all of the features and details I need to know about my remote starter with great attention to my questions and concerns. So far the starter works great, and I will report back to Yelp if I have problems. Without me asking the owner assured me I can call him if I do and all problems will be solved through him. The place is not in an ideal location. When you walk in initially, you may feel a bit worried about your selection. This is clearly not a Corporate chain.
