After lunch nearby, we stopped by S & J Caffe Express for a pick-me-up. They have a September menu with a lot of fall favorites going on. Food I ordered the Pumpkin Dream latte, which was a delicious spin on a pumpkin spice latte. My wife ordered a Dark Chocolate Blended Mocha, which was equally as tasty. 5/5 Service When we arrived, they were servicing the coffee grinder machine, so staff informed us of a slight wait. It didn't take more than 6 minutes, but they kept us updated and thanked us for our patience. 5/5 Ambiance There are so many roadside coffee shops in Washington, so it is part of their charm. It was clean and had a strong aroma of coffee beans. You can't ask for much more. 4/5 With so many options, businesses can get lost competing against each other, but S & J stood out on this day. Prices were reasonable and the coffee was tasty. Give them a try. read more

I really like their coffee and the girls are very nice. One thing I've noticed that turns me off is they give dog biscuits to the 'car' dogs and their hand touches their mouth and then they make my drink. That is a big turn off for me. Hand it to the owner. read more

I have gone here for years.... The girl today was so freaking rude. I buy the DAME DRINK EVERY TIME I GO... They KNOW my order and know me... Today, like I've done at least 50 times in the last year, I went to get my FREE coffee. This girl has been rude the last few times and today, when I went to redeem my free drink, THE SAME ONE I ALWAYS GET, she goes 'oh, we are changing our policy and wont be doing the 32 ounce for the free drink..' I said 'okay, that isn't posted anywhere' and she just stared at me. So, I left. Why so rude? You need to be humbled. read more

I go here every morning for coffee... the quality and taste of the beverages here is very consistent and the baristas are so accomodating and sweet! I have tried other stands around the area and they do not compare... I believe these guys buy top notch product to use when making the drinks as well, and that says a lot in itself...only con I've found is a few bad baked goods in the bunch... through no fault of their own, but the manufacturer/distributer. On our way from PDX TO Seattle. S & J is a drive through - so no bathroom breaks here. We had the Latte with 3 shots of expresso. The Latte was excellent hence the 5 star. Not far from the highway exit. No need to do a U turn to head back north on I-5. Head north after you get your coffee from S & J if your headed to Seattle since the exit north is northward on the same street. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. read more

This is the BEST espresso stand EVER!! I mean E-V-E-R!!! I would give them more stars if I could! Really the girls are great, super nice, they always get your drink right, and they never ever do you wrong! I seriously recommend this espresso stand to everyone, there prices are great, and their coffee isn't burned.. And if it was, you could ask for another and they would graciously replace your drink apologetically! They have monthly specialties and sometimes they have breakfast snacks. I will say, I've never had a complaint about the coffee, the iced espresso drinks and red bulls are good, but I do feel that the girls hired here are more on the snobier side and have had an attitude. I visit this espresso stand on a daily basis. All of the baristas are trained in the art of pulling a proper shot of espresso, I consistently get an iced mocha that puts a smile on my face. Occasionally, I treat myself to a moist baked good too, the pumpkin or zucchini bread are my personal favorite. If the line of cars is long, don't worry it goes by quickly because these girls are speedy. read more

I love this place. I had coffee there this morning and, as always, it was delicious. I hate that the lines are long in the morning, but I totally understand why. Sometimes I even have to go to my back up coffee stand because I don't have the time to wait. However, there are other days where I chance being late to work because I would much rather drink their coffee than my back up's. Friday's the heave great apple fritters and Wednesday the have decent bear claws. Great little treat, on occasion, with the coffee. Baristas are also really friendly and, aside from the couple new ones, remember my drink as well as my wife's. read more

I came here today bc Starbucks was packed af and I only went there bc I had a gift card lol so I seen y'all was empty so I popped on over and I'm so glad I did. Not only are your drinks cheaper than my normal coffee place, THEYRE DELICIOUS!! Idk what her name is but she made them perfectly lol. Perfect consistency, texture, no gritty pieces of caramel in the blended, etc. and she didn't talk my ear off, bc I hate when places do that lmao. This place is pretty good. Their specials tend to be a tad on the sweet side, but that's to be expected when there's more than one syrup flavor. I come here just about every other day. I love their creative drinks with red bull. If I'm not in the mood for coffee I will come here and have one of their red bull drinks. Always so delicious. They have a menu posted to the front of the window where you drive up and it's their drink of the month. They always have something with red bull on it and it's never disappointed. read more

I switched to S & J while avenue was closed for construction. Boy was that a mistake!! Today I had the wonderful privilege of meeting Taylor, blonde new girl. After presenting my free drink card I asked about the price of the kids hot chocolate. After an eye roll she returned with the price 2.90. I know I've paid less before so I asked if the price changed. She responded no with a smirk followed by licking whip cream off her finger (insert throw up emoji here) I was mortified but grateful she already made the drinks and kept her germs to herself while making them. As I pull off my daughters hot chocolate is scolding hot to the point of burning her fingers!!! Unacceptable kids hot chocolates should never be adult temperature!! I don't care if your new or not it should never happen!! So happy to never have a reason to stop here again! Dutch brothers is open later and of course Avenue has never let us down either! Take your money elsewhere not worth a stop! Don't let Dutch bros line fool you they move quickly. This place never has a line or price listed.
