Thee workers here are really knowledgeable and friendly! I love shopping here. Theey have been very helpful in fixing a few things around my house without me having to buy new equipment or power tools. They have a "repair bar" where you can bring your power tools or mower, etc... and they will diagnose it on the spot. Thomas was very helpful in getting my lawnmower issues resolved without me even bringing it in. I just had photos and described the issue. Tiffany helped me find a replacement part for my auger and now it works again. These folks know their stuff! Before going to Lowe's or Home Depot, try out your local Ace Hardware first! They don't have everything the big box stores may have but they have the home town feel and can always order it. The prices aren't outrageous either. I had another amazing shopping experience at the Ace Hardware in Braselton recently. I needed some help with my gas leaf blower, as it was leaking fuel. Casey, one of the staff members, took a look at it right away and immediately began taking it apart. He proceeded to replace the fuel line for me while we chatted. Upon completion, he said he wouldn't charge me anything since he only used like an inch of fuel line. I insisted on paying him for his expertise alone, but he just smiled and said it was his pleasure to help. His willingness to go above and beyond to assist me, even repairing the leaf blower free of charge, demonstrates the exceptional service and expertise you can expect from this store. I know I can save a little money by going to The Home Depot in most cases, but the "friendly neighborhood experience," just isn't there. Keep up the good work, Casey! I love Ace! don't know why home depot is default thinking of tools or yard and ace has great mower rentals, all the tools, hardware, KEYS, just seems more things you can see quicker, and grab and great value. I have not invested in lawn equipment but they sell on the best- staff is all on point, knows where everything is- I mean everything- and many are older or have experience rather than a higher ratio of new hires. Value is great, location is good for FB , Braselton, and generally is not too crowded. Good value, service, I come here now once a month for some project or another. Highly recommend. read more

I love this local store. It's easy to find someone to help with questions and locate product. It's an easy in and out.

Get sale paper, go for (3) sale items on one of the first days: none (of any of those 3). Can't get a rain check. Want to sell you the one on display. Item boxes beat up. Sounds like some false advertising. Coupons are arbitrary all the time too (employees are very inconsistent with practices). People are nice but really couldn't care less--"take it or leave it" attitude. This place is awful but for the convenience of location. read more

Few years ago I purchased some Yeti cups in bulk as gifts so as a promotional deal I received $20 gift card two $10. Well I don't shop in Ace it's Home Depot or Lowes. So I wanted a cast iron skillet and so I decided to use the gift cards. Well the cashier looked at them and said where did you get these? I never saw this type before. (Ace Hardware) is all over the card so she called her Mgr over and she asked the same question. I explained to the how I got the cards and they said they might be expired even though the back said THIS CARD HAS NO EXPIRATION DATE so I stepped out of line to call. After calling customer service twice they confirmed the cards were valid and the amounts were correct! She told me to tell the cashier use and credit or enter by hand. Well she swiped it again and said your card is DECLINED! By that time others were in the line. I said no you don't know how to enter YOUR ACE GIFT CARD. NOW YOU WANT MY BANK CARD OR CREDIT CARD I PROMISE THEY WORK!! She then dropped the receipt in the pan and pushed it towards me. No bag or box so yep I walked out with pan in my hand. And on the way home I gave customer service an ear full. Diversity training is needed in that store. read more

I wanted a STIHL BR350 Blower for my son for Christmas. I went to the internet and found ACE hardware selling it for $369.99. I called this ACE store as it was closer, they had one in stock and told me to bring the add to see if they would match the price. I did and they did not. It was a take it or leave it attitude. These people will lie to your face. I bought a natural gas grill from them on Saturday. Fully explained what was involved to hook up the grill. They assured me that it would be no problem. 3 days later they called and told me my installation was too complicated and they would not hook it up. They asked if I still wanted the grill. I said no and they said they would refund my money. Here I am two days later and no credit has shown up on my credit card. At Home Depot, when I return something, the credit shows up immediately. I called the store today to ask about it and was told it would take 3-5 business days. Took 30 seconds to charge it! 3-5 business days is just unacceptable. Now I'm waiting for my refund, assuming I get it eventually, before I can shop at another store. DON'T SHOP HERE! read more

We were so happy to find an Ace Hardware close by. We recently took our mower in which wouldn't start. Ace repaired it quickly and it runs great once again. We were also in the market for a blower/vac and were very impressed by the staff's knowledge of the Stihl equipment. If you go in and say "hey y'all have this right here on your app/website for $12.00 cheaper than it rang up" they will tell you if you want that price you can stand by the grills and order it online for in-store pickup. Really this couldn't be true, a manager told me that's the case and made the change for me this time, but you would think they would just honor their own online prices... read more

So I generally like Ace Hardware because the people are so friendly and helpful. So today I started looking for a new trimmer so I went to the one in Oakwood area. The staff is what you would expect. Very friendly and helpful but did not carry what I was looking for so they suggested going to the one in Braselton. So off we went. What I received was no help at all. This is not the first time I went to the Stihl section and was not help. The staff is all to busy talking to each other. Not on my top ten places. read more

I bought a Honda mower from S&S Ace Hardware. What I really like about them is their honesty and integrity. I found the exact mower I wanted at a "Big Box" retailer. I asked the folks at S&S what was the difference between the mower at B.B. and S&S? Their answer was "there is no difference" in the mowers. They did, however, say, "Our value is we service your mower--we don't just give you a big box to take home and unpack. Before you leave here, your mower will be filled with oil and gas, started and you will show you how to operate it." Well, they did just those things. So, I took my new Honda mower home and mowed the yard. It started the first try and I was able to actually enjoy mowing with it! I highly recommend S&S if you are looking for an honest dealer who knows their products! read more

If I could give less than one star to this Braselton Ace Hardware I would. One of our employees went there to fill one propane and tank and top off another that was 2 pounds low. He told the man filming the tanks that one was empty and one just needed a pound or two to top it off. At checkout, the cashier charged us for two complete fill ups although one wasn't. There manager refused to budge on the price and charged for two full fills stating that they charge for a full fill up regardless of how much propane was needed. The manager was beyond rude to our guy and was equally as rude when we called an hour or so later to try to rectify the situation. We were never told that we'd be charged for a full fill up even through we were just topping one off with a couple pounds and the manager pretty much said, "Tough, that's our policy." We shop at this Ace frequently but I hope they enjoyed ganking us for the price because we'll never go there again. I plan on complaining to corporate first thing in the morning. They also pulled my review I left on their google listing. read more

I've been here probably 20-30 times over the past year or so to quickly pick up all kind of supplies for various projects. Great staff, friendly and always helpful. Definitely beats wandering the aisles at Lowe's searching for someone to help you find something. read more

The customer service here is amazing. I needed a piece of plexiglass cut and I called about 5 different places looking for help and no one would do it. These guys did it for me even though the cut I asked for was kind of difficult and they were hesitant. I am so pleased with them that I will continue driving the 24 miles from my house and bypass all the other places just to give them my business. Keep it up, guys! read more

Be careful if you're working on a paint project. They will tell you that when you buy 5 gallons you will get a 10% discount on paint and that discount will continue for additional paint purchases. This was true for a while, then they abruptly told me that the discount only applied for 5 gallon at a time purchases. They keep poor records on their "paint system" and most employees do not record your purchases except for the paint manager. While they did begrudgingly afford me the 10% discount on my last paint purchase, the store manager promised to speak with the owner about extending my discount as originally described, but there has been no follow-up after a week. This is really disappointing customer service and they are missing out on my next 10-15 gallons of paint for being greedy towards a regular customer. BTW, this experience provoked me to look around and I realized I was paying an unnecessary premium for the paint I had purchased. read more

All the repairs have been completed on time, right, and reasonably priced. Several times they have saved me from buying new equipment. I plan to keep trading with them. read more
