For those of living well south of Columbus on Rt 33, the challenge of getting a distinct meal on…read morethe way home from meetings in the capital WHEN it makes sense is more than you'd think. Definitely a privileged problem to have, but I'm here to say you should save Da Que in your phone or old school memory bank. Because the diverse selection of smoked meats as sandwichs or platters at Da Que are worth the stop. It sits just a mile or so off 33 and isn't visible from the road. In fact no commercial establishments make you assume it is a farms only exit. But get off the road for a quick stop. Four of us getting out of Columbus before rush hour stopped for a late lunch and were glad we did. Pulled pork, brisket, chicken all available as sandwiches and range of sides including slaw, baked beans, mac and cheese and cheesy potatoes. Next time I'm going to be brave and try the brisket and mac and cheese burrito! The pitmaster was on the register and kept apologizing for being out of his element as he struggled to find the right buttons to push on the register. But honestly good fun to laugh with him as we all outside our lanes as we were still decked out in formal conference attire. But our common love for smoked anything and everything was the common thread. And I haven't done it but clearly catering is a core dimension of their business. Located in Fairfield County south of Columbus, I'm guessing they'd travel to reach quite a few locales.

We keep passing this food truck in front of Carver's and finally stopped today. I think a good food…read moretrucks keeps their menu simple by offering variations of the same dishes and they've done a great job of this with 7 or 8 different burgers (including a chicken tender sandwich), fries three ways and 5 shake flavors. It was all great. I probably wouldn't stop again for the shake alone (although the presentation was fantastic), but it was a nice combo with the food. Get the rosemary parmesan fries, you won't be sorry! Fyi, the rice crispy treat shake has chocolate and caramel in and on it which I didn't expect.

This place a soooo close to a 5 star but has some improvements to make. First off the child's…read moreburger was in the same box as the garlic Parmesan fries. The fries are AMAZING! But are loaded with garlic and I was scared my child wouldn't eat her burger due to the garlic on it. She didn't like the garlic fries which would made me even more scared in anticipation. I cleaned most of the garlic off of the burger that I found and put it on a different plate before she noticed and thank god she was just fine. I'm sure other moms can understand my fear haha. Her kid burger was huge! If you have two kids you could probably cut it in half. I got the bourbon burger which was fantastic beside the yucky wilted lettuce on it. My boyfriend loved the Cajun, I like spicy food but it was far too spicy for my liking. The shake presentation was AMAZING! The toppings on the shakes made up for the lack of flavor. The beignet itself was delicious! The shake it's self lacked flavor. McDonald's vanilla has more flavor unfortunately. Same goes for the caramel waffle. The waffle on it was delectable, but the shake itself was average. Both shakes tasted like they were just vanilla with a hint of berry and caramel, maybe haha. None of us could tell. Also no fruity pebbles or trick we're mixed in with the berry beignet like states on their website. I wouldn't care about these minor issue if it weren't for the steep prices. $7 a shake, $10-$12 for a burger with no side, and $4 fries. I don't mind paying that but the item should be held to a high standard.
