Yes, this is the place to shop for an RV, camp trailer, etc. We were surprised this dealership had several new (and hard to find) 2023 TAB 400 teardrop camping trailers. We had a great price from a dealer in Reno and SCATT matched he price and actually came out under. From the initial contact with several of the salespeople, it was a very good experience. No high pressure sales pitches or up selling. Each employee we came in contact with was personable, honest and knowledgeable. The financing part was stress free and quick. I purchased a brand new Northstar camper a year ago which had a few warranty issues right off the bat, which should have been noticed by them if they had taken the time to go over the camper before it left the shop. First walked in a kids eating candy on the right, not adults in sight, went out the back doors to look at the campers, only to find 2 open without prices or details on them, still no adults to be seen. We purchased a 2020 Eagle Cap 1200 from Evan at Scatt Recreation. After getting our 60k camper home and really looking at it we started noticing issues. We haven't even used this camper yet. The 2 outlets in the galley weren't working and we noticed a HOLE in one of the ceiling screen vents. There are a few other issues we are working on with the manufacturer. I can not believe the guys at Scatt didn't make sure everything on this new camper was functional before handing over to the buyer! It's really sad that my husband is already removing panels to figure out the problem and we haven't even used the camper yet!!! Evan, our sales guy is a good guy but he lacks in returning calls after the purchase is made. We don't blame him for the issues we're having. The owner is to blame for not taking them the time to make sure our camper had no defects! He hasn't been exactly easy to deal with either. This is a review for Robert who didn't push us. I was interested in the T@B 300, and when he came around the corner to meet us (we had corresponded by phone and he was expecting us), He saw my 6'2" husband stooping to squeeze out of the T@B on the lot. He said "oh no no no that's much too small for you" and didn't try to push us into anything else. ) He already knew that we had a 4-cylinder Outback, and we were pulling an almost-new A-Frame trailer that I was becoming dissatisfied with for lack of storage and toilet, so we were limited in what we could pull and not really raring to buy something new unless it was just right.) I think that was the end of 2017. We were coming back from a camping trip in the Sierras and driving through Roseville on our way home. Robert showed us the T@B 400 and we talked about possibilities for the future, but he didn't try to force us into something just to make a sale. We still haven't found the perfect small trailer, but if we upgrade to a bit more powerful vehicle, I will certainly come back and buy the T@B 400 from Robert! read more

I am in the market for a small teardrop style, off road trailer. There are a number of small businesses that build to order, these type of off road trailers. However, in contacting a couple of different businesses, by the time all the options I wanted were added to the base model, they get pretty pricey real quick. One small business said that I needed trailer brakes in California and in checking with DMV trailer regulations, I did not. Called the local CHP office to confirm and got the same answer. I don't need an over-built off road teardrop that can handle the Rubicon Trail.... just an off road teardrop that can adequately handle Class 1-2 off road conditions. I stumbled upon SCATT Recreation and their line of NuCamp off road teardrop trailers. Called and talked with Jason, who I found out was the owner. He was very helpful. The next day, I called again to get more information on the model I'm interested in and Evan answered. Evan was very knowledgeable of the NuCamp line. He was VERY helpful and patient in answering all my questions. Planning on going to one of their satellite dealerships in Salinas to look at a comparable model. If this is how SCATT Recreation treats their customers, I will do everything possible to complete an off road trailer sale with them. Thanks for all your help thus far! Dave. read more

I'm Giving two stars because JB was a nice guy. I purchased a 4000.00 A.R.E topper from the guys it took six weeks to build which is par for the course. After eagerly awaiting I go for my installation and as the guy is Loading with the forklift the the topper slips and gouges our my aluminum frame with the steel fork. I contact JB he acts like he's about to take care of me, then after send omg pictures he tells me to come down for some touch up paint. Not even an installation fee waive or even an offer. The guy had one job to do and he screwed up. Won't bring doing business with them anymore. read more

Good luck trying to buy from these folks. Supposedly, the same family also owns Meeks RV run by Dad, with son Jason running Scatt. After making the decision to buy I tried several times to talk to Jason unsuccessfully. I strongly suspect that there is a good reason why they are less expensive than their competitors. Even who was my first contact salesperson was great. He was professional, knowledgeable about the product and was a pleasure to deal with. However, when it comes down to the installation quality and craftsmanship, that's when things went in a downward spiral; Not what I would expect considering it was a brand new truck and I paid $2,300 for the shell. The shell itself was quality (with the exception that the underside of the rim was not painted and left bare fiberglass, and the windows were so tight I could barely open them). Sorry, poor quality control on both the manufacturer and SCATTREC. That's ok, I can live with both of those issues. However, I can't get past the poor quality and lack of attention to workmanship on the installation, with both the poor routing of the tail light wires and the missing clamp support. NOT good.........sorry SCATTREC, I can't and won't recommend you to others. read more

I called SCATT last year when I decided on the camper I wanted to buy and learned they were a distributor. I spoke with Jason who told me that they expected some to be delivered in a few months. I received a call the day the campers were delivered and went there to check it out. Evan Hunt spent a few hours with me, showing me the rig and answering all of my questions. He even advised me on what type of truck I should get (didn't have one yet). He later helped me vet various trucks I was considering and helped me pick the right one. I came in looking for some very simple brackets to mount my camper shell. The brackets are very common keep you from having to drill holes in your truck. The guy didnt have any idea what i was talking about. He said i have to drill holes and thats the only way to do it. After months of research online and in person, we decided that he T@B 320 with the clam shell kitchen was the trailer we wanted. High quality and outrageously comfortable and functional. SCATT Recreation was absolutely wonderful in helping us custom order our trailer. They were amazingly helpful every step of the way and beyond. (They even walked us through priming the water pump over the phone when we were having trouble .) Robert particularly has been consistently helpful with questions since our purchase. Our philosophy on trailers is "keep it small but comfortable and convenient." Less is best and with a smaller trailer we can go so many more places. My husband and i have been researching truck campers for months online and finally decided we were very interested in seeing a liberty and an adventurer to finalize our purchase decision. We met with Jason Adams and saw the two campers and made the final decision. We intended to finance the camper. It was 12pm and he told us to come back in 3 hours and we would be ready to finish up the paperwork and go. I thought it was odd that we did not start the paperwork before but we left and got lunch. When we got back we expected to start the finance paperwork and he informed us that his finance department was in Florida and currently closed. We are now scrambling to figure out our own financing and decided to use our credit card's that he accepted but he wanted to charge us the fee he would incur from the cc company which was 3% for each card used which was ridiculous. We then tried to go to a local branch of our bank but by then it was to late to process a loan. We had to be back to Arizona the next day so we ended up using our retirement money to write him a check. We explained how displeased we were and that if there was another dealership closer we would have done so. He was so smug to say he was the only dealer on the western seaboard and challenged us to do so. He is not a salesman whatsoever. If I could give him zero stars I would. read more

They installed a 5th wheel slider hitch for us about a year ago. Installation was timely, clean and well done. Recently I was having a problem with the slider mechanism and their staff took the time to show me what was going wrong and fix it. We recently purchased a Northern Lite Camper from Jason at SCATT Recreation. There are not many made of this brand and we were fortunate that Jason had one that met our specifications already in the pipeline. The unit was delivered from Canada on time. Best of all we were able to have our truck adapted and pick up the camper in San Jose, where there is another camper store associated with SCATT. We live in Santa Cruz, so it was a lot easier going to San Jose than driving up to Roseville. This is a family run operation, and everyone is very helpful. We especially appreciated working with Jimmy who really knows his stuff. We are still getting to know our new unit, and Jimmy and Jason have been good about answering questions.
