Sonia cleaning is very unprofessional. first when she came into my house she estimated a house for $150. The agreement for us to have a service every week then she texted that she doesn't have anyone for every week she going to send girls every two weeks. I told her as soon as you get somebody please let me know we can do every week she said OK. Agreement is to have same girls every time. First time she sent the girls they looked little lost and one of the girls didn't do it good job. I had to assist them with picking up trash help to make bed. Then I went to check on the other girl and helped her to make the other bed. Training girls and showing them how to clean my house is Sonia's job. After first time cleaning when girls left the house I walk through and I saw spiderwebs on top of my hot tub in the living room on top of the blinds. I cleaned it up. And lots of dust missing on the floors on the phone and the bookshelves which I had to walk around and wipe everything myself. Two weeks later I'm getting totally two new girls. I thought I texted Sonia I thought I'm going to have the same girls every two weeks. Then she said one of the girls Rosie from the previous week will be there. Rosie arrived 20 min. later to help them out. I have changed the carpets in the kids bedrooms two days before so I ask them is it OK if they take off their shoes or put something like cover over. Also agreement was to clean the house top to bottom so I had the oven on self clean all they have to do is wipe it off inside it wasn't clear to me that they not going to clean inside the oven. Since to weeks before Rosie open the oven and she was planning to wipe it off and I said no don't do that let me first self clean then we can do it two weeks later. Rosie was also telling me how in her own house her husband unscrews the door and she wipes it in between the glass so she can do that for me and I told her no don't worry about it I'll do it myself. I told Rosie are you going to be only one hour my house every two weeks or only today she said no Sonia assign those two girls for you that are new not experienced like me. I ask her at all so you have more experienced she said yes. When I was on the other line on the phone I got a phone call from Sonia. I returned her call she told me her girls told her they have to take off their shoes and they have to clean the oven and I'm requesting too many things. I told her I thought the agreement to clean the house top to bottom. If they're not gonna wipe the oven that's OK I can clean it myself but the girls need to communicate with me. Sonia accused me standing behind her girls and watching them constantly I was on the phone and the other room having a private conversation when she called how could I be possibly behind the girls. I told her two weeks ago your girls didn't know what they were doing they asked my assistant so I had to go and help them. I told her that's not my job that's you should've come and show them the house and trained them. She's asking me to leave the house not to be inside my house well girls are cleaning the house why should I leave my house that doesn't make sense. Also I told Rosie I really like her and she seem like she knows what she's doing now is there a way she can start coming to my house she told me she has all Thursdays totally off Friday she said ask Sonya maybe she can put you for Thursday I did ask Sonya and Sonia says she doesn't have anything free her schedule is full and Sonia was frustrated with me asking her that question. Why would Rosie tell me that she's free Thursdays if she would've been busy. After phone call with Sonya I asked the girls what's going on what happened why and the girls were very rude and disrespectful so I told him that's not nice they should not be disrespecting me in my house I let them into my house this is my house this is not some public place. I told him to leave because me and Sonia not going to do business anymore then Sonia called them and told them to leave. I don't recommend Sonia's House Cleaning because she's unprofessional and and she's uneducated. Only uneducated person will agree to certain price and make an agreement and does not stick with contract. Agreement to have people every week at my house for $150 and clean the house top to bottom and have the same people cleaning my house all the time as much as possible if there's any changes to notify me. When she sent these two new other girls she never notified me. That was our agreement. Sonia just hiring people and sending them randomly to peoples houses and after agreeing with the price she was complaining that I'm not paying enough on the second time of service. Businesses can I just call and give an estimate and then agree on the price and then start complaining about the price being low. Hired Sonia to do move out cleaning of my house. This wasn't a regular monthly okay it's clean deal. This was for upcoming Open House. Had to be spotless. Sonia came to house a few weeks back and a walk through provided an estimate which worked for me. She understood what I was looking for. Drawers cleaned. Windows and blinds and ceiling fans and window tracks all cleaned. Cabinets and bathroom and kitchen spotless. Sonia and her team arrived on time. She also text me so I knew she was on her way so I could coordinate my schedule and meet them at the house. Three hours later and the house looked great. Everything was cleaned up and spotless. Very professional and great team. Glad I found them. I will probably use her in the future for my new home and she and her team can do the regular monthly cleaning. read more

Sonia and her team were AMAZING when they made the home we just purchased look brand new again. I don't think this house had been deep cleaned in 10 years and Sonia addressed everything from top to bottom, inside cupboards, a nightmare master bathroom, unique specialty tiled floors, wrought iron staircase, and probably 25 windows. Well, I waited to write this review for a while hoping for the owner to do the right thing. We signed up for biweekly service and unfortunately had to terminate our services immediately after the first cleaning. I've had house cleaners for many years and this was by far the worst cleaning we've ever had. Everyone knows you pick Up before the cleaner comes and we did. So really the surfaces and floors were all that was required. This was right before the holiday and we desperately needed some help as I had 33 people coming. I contacted the owner after her cleaner left( whose FB messenger or text was going off the entire time) and she did say she felt horrible about it after I sent her pictures of the terrible job. Pictures tell a thousand words and there was no denying it was terrible; and I only sent her four pictures as there were too many areas uncleaned to send. She got the hint after four. She apologized but did not offer to send another person out, but did ask me what she could do for me. I pretty much did not want them to come back and continue the cycle, so we said other than a refund there was nothing. I was very understanding and polite. It's hard to manage people that are not around you all the time. So I get the struggle. Our cost was $150 for a job she said should take 5 hours. We paid $150 and the cleaner left after 3 hours and 38 minutes. She said she'd refund us $40. It was a gesture more than a refund. We were happy just to get anything back and were appreciative. We should've gotten the entire amount back but the fact that she offered anything softened the blow. I also spoke to my neighbor who referred them to me and hired her the same timeframe as well. She said she had the same problem with the service. I did not want to post a negative review to a small business, but after basically the worst cleaning ever, overpaying for a terrible service and not getting a dime back- it has to be said. At this point only a full refund would be right. I won't hold my breath. Very disappointing. As a family of 6, with both parents working full time spending money on housecleaning was going to be a treat and it was a major let down. Now we are skeptical of hiring anyone and wasting $150 or more to have the house basically look the same. read more

Requested a free quote on Yelp from Sonia's cleaning service for a deep clean. She responded very quick and we set up a meeting for her to view the house and go over everything that her deep clean contained. She also provided an itemized list so we we were all on the same page and I had clear expectations. I got on the schedule right away and could not be happier with the results. Feels like a new house! Pros: Thorough Cleaning (almost) Cons: Very Poor Customer Service, Poor Scheduling, Restrictive Contractual Terms, Excessive Cancellation/Change Fees, Excessive Contract Cancellation Fees. Initially contracted with Sonia's House Cleaning Service back in May for a deep cleaning before a party we were having out house. Sonia did a walk through of the house and reviewed my detailed checklist and agreed to complete the cleaning for a quoted price. Cleaning day, the cleaning crew did a good job with 4 cleaners that came in and cleaned. By the end of the day, only 2 cleaners were left. Unfortunately, when Sonia was not around, the cleaners were not as thorough and I had to go back through and do a walk through of the house to point out the things missed (dusting blinds, dusting tops of appliances, dusting tops of furniture, and cleaning of the oven). They followed through and completed all agreed upon cleaning tasks from a detailed checklist I have used with previous cleaners. The Bad....following the cleaning Sonia called me and said subsequent monthly cleanings would be more due to the excessive dog hair from our Lab. Sonia was made aware of the dog hair and my cleaning requests were specific to clean up dog hair off sofa and in corners of rooms where the dog hair tended to gather. Bait and switch. Bad business. More Bad...on follow up cleanings, scheduled for the end of the month, cleaners would just show up at the door with no notice saying they were there to clean. In June, this was OK, as I work from home so cleaner could do their work around me. No notice and showing up a week earlier than I had originally agreed was problematic if continued. More Bad...July cleaning came on another day that was unexpected, a week earlier than expected. However, I let the cleaner in and was an inconvenience working around the kids, wife, and dog who were all home all day. I could have made plans to have everyone out of the way so that the cleaner could do her job without interruption. More Bad Scheduling without notice....August, cleaner shows up to my door on 8/19 to clean. We were in the middle of moving our son out to college and doing some remodeling. Expecting the cleaner to come on 8/26, we had planned on being done with all the moving by then so the cleaners would be able to work. I had no choice but to not accommodate the cleaner who showed up unannounced to clean. I told her we were not expecting her till the following Monday and that we had furniture moved and it would very difficult to clean around where the furniture was as it was blocking the doorways, hall, and bathroom in the back of the house. The cleaner (Joanne) was very polite and said she would come back next week and she was ok with this. Worst Customer Service...5 minutes after Joanne left, Sonia calls me stating that I need to go look at my contract and that if I don't take the cleaning today, I was going to be charged a cancellation fee. I told her that her cleaners have been showing up off schedule from the start in June and we verbally discussed the last monday of the month as the schedule for cleanings when I was quoted the cleaning fees. She progressively raised her voice with me over the duration of the call threatening the cancellation fee and going on about how she has a schedule to have cleaners work either a 2 week or 4 week rotation and that she never said she would do the last monday of the month. With her tone and threats, I told her to cancel my cleaning service with her as she failed to meet my requested schedule and repeatedly shown up to clean unannounced. She followed up with a text message reminding me to read my contract and that she would get her fee anyways with full cancellation of service without 30 days notice. She also told me not to threaten her. Cancelling service is not a threat. I don't pay for poor customer service and especially don't pay for a service to be yelled out about poor scheduling practices. read more

Sorry to rain on the parade of all the good reviews, but one of Sonia's employees, who was assigned to clean my house, turned out to be the absolute worst housecleaner I have ever had!! She did not dust for the most part. The dust was still where it was left, the objects on the shelves not moved. She did not mop the tile or laminate floors. She didn't pick up or shake out he rugs or vacuum or wash underneath them.They were filthy. She did not wash the floor around the toilet - I took a wet paper towel to it and it was gross! What exactly did she do? Vacuum, I guess. Sonia's fee was sky high to begin with, much more than I paid for cleaners in the Bay Area (pricey place) for a larger home! Yet I paid it, hoping it was true what she said that the cleaners would be there 2 hours. I am sure they were not there more than 20 minutes from what I could tell, taking the money and running with it. Sonia made apologies for this employee, but my question was, how did she get hired in the first place? Was this the standard they wanted to set? So I declined the offer to try someone else in her employ and am looking elsewhere for a housecleaner. SO disappointed!! Where did all these positive reviews come from, I wonder?? read more

Wow! This is a true cleaning professional!! Sonia and her team far exceeded my expectations! She quickly responded to my request for a move-out clean up on Wednesday morning, did a walk through quote Thursday, and the work was completed Friday night!
