I had a troubling experience at Plant Fitness that I need to share. My wife and I were regulars,…read moreusually coming in around 10 AM, Sometimes even 1 AM. However, there was a particular male employee, an African American guy with dreadlocks, whose behavior made me uncomfortable & I'm a man she's a female and he made her uncomfortable. He would often fixate on my wife with an unsettling gaze every time we entered the gym. It felt intrusive and disconcerting, leading me to suspect that something inappropriate might be going on. To make matters worse, I later discovered that he had somehow accessed her personal information. He actually texted her directly, which crossed a serious line. This incident has left me feeling angry and protective; I can't in good conscience continue to use this gym. It's a place for health and wellness, not for unwanted attention. I urge other female patrons to be cautious if they decide to come here. I won't be returning I wouldn't want to escalate the situation, but I certainly feel the urge to confront him about his behavior. Good assortment of weight training machines, racks, and free weights. I do wish there was some more room in the free weight/rack area though. There's also a cross fit style open room, but sometimes there are group fitness classes taking up that space. Most of the time the gym equipment is pretty open. Between 5 & 7 or so is the most traffic.

As good as the club is, and no doubt, great things are happening there, it's really expensive - and the last several months I have constantly been questioning if I should be paying what I do. I mentioned in my first review in July I felt the club was slipping. No question I have, and deserve to have, the highest expectations for this place but that comes from them. They promise us an "athletic country club" experience and charge for it - so I expect them to deliver. Over the last year, this club has been dealing with a serious member trend related to its big ticket item - the men's rejuvenation suite in the locker room, consisting of a hot tub, cold plunge, dry sauna, and wet sauna. Quite often, it's a wreck - as are other sections of the locker room. Wet towels and trash crumpled on the floor and in seating areas and in corners around this section of the club. There's sludge on sections of the floor at night after the big rush. Many of the men members of this club are acting like slobs - and Life Time isn't keeping up. I feel like the maintenance crew tries hard, but I've also seen them blow past the suite without even sticking their head in for a status check - as if they have other priorities than one of their biggest competitive advantages when it comes to amenities. I really feel like Life Time without this is mostly a four- or five-star facility - but this issue knocks it down several pegs. It's exhausting.

Taking a 6 AM class and watching the sunrise is a treat and great way to start the day. The instructors are all super nice and personable - it seems like they genuinely enjoy what they do and want to get to know you on an individual level. The outdoor pool area is by far the best part of the membership in the summer. I'd consider a luxury set up with how nice and clean everything is, plus drink and food service that comes to you. Does not feel like you're at a gym at all. The only con is how ridiculously expensive it is. They offer a lot for the price, but it's hard to justify paying THAT much unless I was there for multiple hours everyday and taking advantage of every amenity. We ended up discontinuing and left, but I'd recommend touring it if you're a committed fitness person.

The new lockers and great sauna refresh were also a great improvement. My only real disappointment is that I wish more attention had been given to the men's locker room during the remodel process. On my visit today, there were two broken showers, a lot of mildew in much of the tile grout and on the shower curtains, two toilet stalls out of order, and the hot tub was not functioning. I genuinely appreciate the investment made into the club, and overall the remodel was a big improvement. I just hope cleanliness and maintenance continue to be a focus moving forward, especially with so many fitness options now available in the Las Colinas area.

Next, the way it keeps tracks is like a type of video game or trainer who keeps track of your sets and reps. Then, the wet & cold towel oil infused when finishing with the affirmations which I loved. At the end, I saw the leaderboard which I thought "I love competing with ny own self but seeing another person is also nice to congratulate" but that wasn't it, I saw something different "The massage section" this is all included I have been attending the classes since February and have since a lot of improvement in my workout routine. Not to mention the in person trainers in each class are really helpful, professional coaches & friendly. Don't forget your earphones & if you do, they let use some.
