I had a troubling experience at Plant Fitness that I need to share. My wife and I were regulars, usually coming in around 10 AM, Sometimes even 1 AM. However, there was a particular male employee, an African American guy with dreadlocks, whose behavior made me uncomfortable & I'm a man she's a female and he made her uncomfortable. He would often fixate on my wife with an unsettling gaze every time we entered the gym. It felt intrusive and disconcerting, leading me to suspect that something inappropriate might be going on. To make matters worse, I later discovered that he had somehow accessed her personal information. He actually texted her directly, which crossed a serious line. This incident has left me feeling angry and protective; I can't in good conscience continue to use this gym. It's a place for health and wellness, not for unwanted attention. I urge other female patrons to be cautious if they decide to come here. I won't be returning I wouldn't want to escalate the situation, but I certainly feel the urge to confront him about his behavior. I parked my mom's car and put the keys in my backpack, which I stored in a locker. After using the restroom I discovered my locker slightly open and my backpack unzipped. I left this gym for 24 hour fitness last year because they have a pool and a sauna, but I came back to planet fitness because they honestly kept the gym so clean even before Covid! I can tan and I can get a good Hydro massage after my work out, for a cheaper price than 24. All of the gyms look so new and they definitely have you sanitize everything. Glad to be back . read more

Now I came into the gym earlier today and when I came in I was greeted by a young lady at the front desk made me feel very welcome as I was working out her personality is amazing and very sweet while I was working I see the same young lady filling the bottles up and checking the paper towel and very polite and interacted with other members as she made it to each station back to the front desk I had to stop my work out and I went up and let her know she was doing a wonderful job and I got her name he name is Dory ! I needed to transfer over my home facility due to a move. It was a slight hiccup but the call center was completely able to take care of things and the new place is amazing great customer service very clean and wonderful place to work out as well as all the amenities for the black card service. Updating this because I have been here a handful of times since the reopening. Honestly the fact they kept the gym so clean prior to the covid shut down is why I feel comfortable working out here now. They have blocked off certain machines but their is at least one machine of every kind to use. Added more cleaning supplies to wipe down the machines and offer contactless check in. Every time I have come the staff has been cleaning and wearing their mask. The water fountain is off so you can fill your bottles but not use the spout. I would say wipe down your machines before you use them because of course their are still people not wiping them down after they use them . Also people have moved the signs of some of the machines to us them, which isn't necessary because what I said before their is at least one of every machine to use. This gym is smaller and hasn't been packed at all since the reopening which has been nice. I would say at 98% of the gym goers are doing a great job of cleaning and social distancing. Some people even wear their mask while working out. Like I said in my previous post this gym is exactly what I am looking for it is small, has the right amount of equipment and is clean. read more

First off, the gym's location could be better...seeing a beer store as I walk to my car makes me a bit uneasy but as soon as you enter the gym, the amenities make up for the location. Everything is new, I've been going for about a month now and the people who work there are great. I signed up online so it was easy. I did not opt for the upgrades bc I won't use the tanning or sauna, so my membership is very inexpensive. The locker rooms are clean and I haven't had any personal trainers approach me with the uncomfortable "let me help you" speech. The place has rows of tvs so I can catch up on my CNN as I run. after being a member for a couple of months, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try a new gym. Deciding that the new gym was a better fit for my personal goals, I arrived to this location to cancel my membership. After telling the two employees working the front desk I would like to cancel , they proceeded to lie to me that they did not do cancellations on fridays and that if I wanted to proceed with a cancellation I needed to pay a small fee. Confused, I asked when did they implement this new policy and the employees proceeded to laugh and tell each other good job for "keeping their joke going on for so long". I have been several times in different days and times and the place is always clean! It smells good! This is a no frills gym. They have great exercise equipment and a friendly front desk staff. I have to say any gym in a great place because we all enjoy a safe space. Being from Irving it's great to have something 24/7 at your hands. The equipment at this location is great, no doubt. Any night hours for women in special is tougher to ensure any safety. When I was in the locker room yesterday, a male employee walked in without apologizing. I had said although I was proper it's not professional for him to be there. I understand it is a 24/7 gym that we pay to use, and there may be no "set" cleaning schedule. I'm needing for the staff to organize a female only rule to go in to the Women's locker room for any cleaning. Being a 24/7 hour gym there are always going to be women and men using the building. I did not feel comfortable after the incident and left right away. It could have been any other female that might've been less covered. Talk to your staff about the decency of a lockeroom. It's really a disgusting feeling when your privacy isn't respected. read more

Staff is great. Friendly. Professional. Attentive and responsible. Club is clean as a whistle and equipment is great. Only issue is the regional manager makes them keep the music at unsafe levels and has bullied the staff into not changing it if you complain. My ears bled last visit and I could hear the music over my noise cancelling ear buds! They need to turn the music down. I was a member of this gym since 2018. Today I fogot to bring my phone and since they used to put phone number of associated accounts to let people in I was waiting at the line. I said the front desk employee I dont have a phone would you mind entering my numbers. She refused. Before 2-3 days it was fine and other people were doing so. I asked another employee ( trainer) who is always helpful at gym, he tried to helped me but the first employee made eye contact saying no. Then he said cant do under company policy and asked me to talk to the manager. The manager came outside rushing and started searching for something. I thought she was trying to help me but she came up with policy papers in swag , searched highlighter to highlights to show me policies. And also told me we dont want to know your personal info by inputting cellphone number to sign you in which they have (every info ) in the first place. I thought for a while and didnot wanted to drive 7 miles back home and bring phone workout because it was not a life death situation and they could have easily helped me out. Or they could have printed me a new tag( for any cost) or given me , or soft copy print should have been worked out too. I realized the place where people were keen to show off and brag their ego is not a place where i wanted to be and asked to cancel my membership. The manager asked my number with anger ( which she earlier said was a privacy issue and cant ask: input numbers to let people in) but now it was fine because she was manager lol. At the end of the day its about customer service not showing off ego. I took around 20 people to that gym since I started my personal development. Now after this story they all wanna quit the gym and go to another preferbly fitness connection . She lost 21 customers not just by letting me with my phone number. In life people have many circumstances. I forgot phone that day. Someone's phone might have been dead, broken , stolen and so on . And you dont wanna treat people as if they dont belong there. They have paid your fees and a member person with valid ID is not sufficient to enter gym than you won you ego manager lady So i opened my inbox and saw a pdf file for cancellation .The cringe lady put "policy violation" in reason for leaving field. This came out of her ego to be superficial herself. I requested to cancel my membership because of bad customer service not violating policy. Im currently 16 about to be 17 years old the within the almost 3 years I have been going here I have maybe heard the lunk alarm go off like 4 times, we thought is was funny and just thought nothing of it. Fast forward to Memorial Day 2022 today they close early, I get there around 10-10:30, completely female staff btw. People all around the gym were getting warnings not to slam the weight and even getting threatened to have there memberships taken away. Me and my buddy were on leg press doing maybe 2 plates and a lady with purple braids and some sort of unicorn makeup was warning my friend to not slam the weight when we were in between sets. Today the lunk alarm go off a total of 5 times within the 2 hours I was there. I saw this lady warn and get on the numerous groups teens and some adults. There is definitely some bias, considering she isn't even paying attention to the people actually slamming the weights. I'm seriously considering switching gyms because of the female staff specifically, the male staff has never bitched at anyone and has always kept it respectful. I heard it has come under new management and the staff is changing so I guess I'll be changing gyms as well ‍.
