Congratulations on the recent remodel, the club looks great overall. The staff has been friendly and helpful, and GM Isaiah was especially nice and welcoming. The facility has been updated very nicely with all new equipment, a dedicated personal training area, racquetball courts, spin classes, and a new Pilates section. The new lockers and great sauna refresh were also a great improvement. My only real disappointment is that I wish more attention had been given to the men's locker room during the remodel process. On my visit today, there were two broken showers, a lot of mildew in much of the tile grout and on the shower curtains, two toilet stalls out of order, and the hot tub was not functioning. I genuinely appreciate the investment made into the club, and overall the remodel was a big improvement. I just hope cleanliness and maintenance continue to be a focus moving forward, especially with so many fitness options now available in the Las Colinas area. read more

I'll help raise the 2.1 star average rating by giving a three. Compliments and constructive criticism: - The Hispanic guy cleaning the club / men's locker room during the day (Leo, maybe?) is one of the better ones you've had. Floors in locker room mopped a lot more often than usual and it doesn't smell as bad as before. Trash in club picked up regularly. Give the man a raise! - Club is truly accepting of anyone (even us old guys) without coming across as a "country club" or "nightclub". No one should feel intimidated here, and most people take their workouts seriously (e.g. no "Planet Fitness pizza Monday's" with working out being an after-thought). - Not as many "influencers" with their tripods at this club like at many others. - Too many listen (loudly) to music and vids on their phone without earbuds / earphones. The cardio area can at times have two or three others competing with the clubs music. - Equipment getting old and a lot more "out of order" signs than before. The cardio machines (especially first set of ellipticals) always have malfunctioning electronics. - You have five, barely ever used racquetball courts and (had) a basketball court that was very often used, yet you chose to spend a lot of $$$$ remodeling the bball court to a very large "PRT TRAINING ROOM" (extra fee required) complete with nicer and newer equipment than in in the rest of the gym? I have never seen anyone use that room. So now the floor space of the 5 racquetball courts and the large PRT room go almost totally unused. If you expand the gym to utilize those areas for all members, maybe it would appeal to new member prospects? - The car break-ins (that do seem to be fewer lately) have been a concern. Maybe they're somehow being addressed? Hopefully. - I know you've lost at least some members to the new Lifetime Fitness if not quite a few. I'm guessing with some improvements you can lure them back after they get tired of their $219 a month "introductory" rate that I don't believe required a long-term contract. read more

The most terrible gym I ever signed up for! I moved to the area and this location is 3 mins from my place. I joined for convenience. It's already crowded at 5:30am, the facility is trashy (bits of paper on the floor), and the dumbbells are missing. You pay $35 a month to be inconvenienced. The staff doesn't seem to care as I have watched them for a couple months. Customers are inconsiderate! One guy was trying to lift too much. He kept grunting really loud, slamming the weights on the floor, and making the entire weights area shake. The staff didn't care enough to correct him. If I could give zero stars I would. I'll start with the weights. They're scattered all over the gym because no one bothers to put them back on the rack so good luck finding what you need. Equipment for some of the machines is also everywhere. When I spoke to one of the employees about it, all they said was good luck finding it, it's out in the gym somewhere. The restrooms are extremely filthy and are not properly maintained at all. My advice is find another gym. read more

Decent equipment, though I wish the gym had kettle bells. I like that they've taped off some machines during COVID times, but I wish they'd enforce the mask policy. What was even more frustrating is that when I said something to the front desk about people being allowed to not wear masks the guy said, "not here." I said yes here, and I started to give an example of a time a guy refused to put on a mask (after being told to put one on by an employee) and who was still allowed to walk back to the locker rooms. The guy I was talking to started talking to another customer while I was still talking. Since the front desk couldn't care less about this problem, I took the liberty of taking some pictures as proof (not a challenge at all) and reporting this to corporate. Places like this are the ones putting us at risk of having another spike and getting shut down again completely (and patrons are too stupid and selfish to care, so clearly they need to be policed). read more

This is my regular gym since I live within a 5 minutes of this location, and I'm here multiple times a week both before work (5:30am) and at the end of the day (9:30pm and later), and while this gym can get crowded if you dont go immediately after work (5-6pm) you typically do not have to wait for cardio or weight machines. Positive is it has lots of features like a pool (they have swimming lessons for kids, so there are a lot around during early evening hours), weights downstairs, cardio equipment upstairs, multiple racketball courts, a basketball court, spin cycle studio, etc. Fairly well maintained, but I've seen some errant paper towels by cardio equipment upstairs for a couple days in a row so there's definitely room for improvement. They have a good mix of weight machines, just wish they had more stuff for back workouts. Two biggest gripes: the WiFi is nonexistent so I can't use my iPad, and the cardio machines are dated (my home gym in my previous city had TV screens on each piece of equipment which was awesome) so no screens on the machines and they never seem to change the channels of the TVs upstairs. It's serviceable and close so I go to this location a lot, but I'm going to start moving around to others. read more

Cars broken in multiple times in a week period. Gym staff is unable or unwilling to step up to prevent future occurrences. Gym staff did not notify in any way guests of repeated occurrences of vehicle break-ins, including vehicle theft altogether. There's never dumbbells on the rack. Weights 10-25 are always missing. Gym is always dirty. Doesn't matter the time of day. The gym is my release, but when I come here I always leave annoyed and unable to complete my workout as intended due to equipment/machine issues and unavailability. read more

I have been going to LA Fitness Las Colinas center for the last year. Unfortunately, I signed up for personal training sessions, which I did not know was really the worst management ever, at the time of sign up. The training manager is never on site, he/she is always rotating between different campuses and is super hard to get a hold of. It is really easy to sign up but when it comes to having changes made, there is ZERO flexibility. I have been wanting to reschedule my trainer and the schedules for over a month now. I have left multiple messages with the training department at Las Colinas facility but no one got back to me until now. This is very frustrating because they charge you for the month before the month starts. And since it has been a month, I got charged for another month without personal trainer available. LA Fitness Las Colinas is NOT for personal training at all!! read more

I was visiting from out of town and called to get a one month pass and was told it'd be $77. The sales guy, Kareem, assured me being very clear that this price was "out the door" and that I wouldn't get any additional charges. A few minutes later Kareem called and said that his boss had misquoted and the price was now $110 for a month. This should've been a red flag at their business ethics. I passed on that offer because I could find another gym for my budget, but was quickly told that they could "do it this once" and I was charged $77 that day. It seemed that they were simply trying to get more money out of me. The following week when I first attended at 5:30pm on a Tuesday it was insanely packed, dirty, and unorganized. There were people standing barefoot on top of benches and it appeared that none of the free weights were returned to their appropriate spot since the gym opened. There were multiple "influencers" using the gym equipment to balance their phone on so that they could watch themselves later, so even had tripods. It's a zoo. The entire gym smells like BO and it's old outdated equipment that needs an upgrade. But wait... After my first week I was unexpectedly charged an additional $53 and when I asked about it, I was told it was for their "annual property tax" and that it was normal. I reminded them that we agreed upon $77 total but they refused to refund the $53. I offered to pay a prorated (1/12 since I'm only there a month) but was ignored. I'm not going to be surprised when they attempt to charge me a "cancellation fee". However, I'll dispute it and the random "property tax fee" with Amex since I never signed a contract and have in writing the original agreement. Just be aware that not only is the gym is nasty, but so is the management (if you can call it that). read more

Like any other gym during COVID you have to find a time that is comfortable for you as far as the amount of people in the gym at a particular time. They offer sanitizing spray bottles for you to take around when you workout which is cool. I bring my own towel to wipe the equipment down. People try to keep the mask on but it's not required by the gym and if it is it's not enforced. I try to just avoided congested area and plan my workout according to where the least amount of people will be. I haven't showered at the gym, swim, or used the sauna. I hope this helps! read more

The staff is always nice at the door. However I never see any of them walking around to help or clean. All of the machines are old. The free weight area is super closed in and there are never the weights I need. The bathrooms are atrocious. The put in a new area in the front is great but the new area in the back that was the basketball court is extra that you have pay for! Like seriously you should have expanded more equipment but instead decided to charge more to make more money instead of helping those that already go there. Very poor customer service Not many personal trainer are available in the morning session and the trainer keeps changing, so you will be forced to take the sessions in evening. They matched us with random personal trainer without our feedback and when we found another trainer who matches our time schedule and shares our goal, they suddenly made her unavailable to us and demanding more money if we want to continue her class. They have different people at the front desk on different days and they know nothing about their plan and programs. with 200 dollars per month additional to gym rent for an year contract lock-in, we expected better service than this. when you approach as new customer they will pitch in hard as offering 'no one got this ever and tailored only for you'. Once you signup, next day onwards same guy will act as arrogant prick and treat you like trapped shit. read more

I am an LA Fitness member and was using this gym instead of my home gym because I was traveling. I have to say that I would never visit this location ever again. It was pretty bad: Locker room small and crowded. It appears they let people keep stuff in the lockers overnight. Showers were hideous and hot. The sauna and showers are in the same section. The damp hot conditions had mold and mildew growing everywhere. It was gross. Water fountains - water was warm. I tried them all. Vending machines - only take cash. Who carries cash and if you do, you ain't carrying it around in the gym. Treadmills were upstairs. Super hot (heat rises). They need fans to at least move the air. I like my home gym and others I have visited across the country. This one is just awful. read more

The entire staff minus one Black guy who was working on the morning of 9/25 needs to be fired. There is an extreme lack of customer service, basic customer service at this location. I came the morning of 9/26/21 and one white guy looked dead at me and didn't greet me. But, he then jumped up on the counter with his back facing the entrance, just to watch some video the other girl had playing on her phone. She, too, didn't greet me. The floor had so many napkins on it, sauna room hadn't been cleaned or sprayed. Though it is a gym, it shouldn't smell that bad ALL the time. Even the outside is unkept. We pay for the kids club membership that we use only a few times a month. This morning when I arrived to check my daughter in, I was told the club was closed because the worker was on a cruise. However there was an exemplary employee who overheard my plight and informed me she wad certified and would ask her manager if she could help watch my daughter for an hour. The manager named Raymond denied her request to help and I was turned away. I found this lack of empathy and poor customer service from Raymond rather disgraceful and unfortunate. I sincerely hope he will be reprimanded... Raymond portrays a bad image of LA fitness, and our family will consider taking our business elsewhere. read more
