All in all 8/10. Just went to my first MixxedFit class with instructor Olivia, and she killed it! That 1hr dance class was amazing. I felt the sweat & burn. Definitely a class worth a try! The only thing I dislike about this gym is that the women's restroom / Sauna, on first floor is right next to the weight station (where mostly men work out ) Like why couldn't there be opposite sides for men and women restrooms. This club is large and has a nice sauna. It also has nice showers, however, be prepared to bring your own lysol wipes for cleaning. The same trash (Kleenex and water bottles) has been in the corner of the shower area for four long days. For real. read more

it has a good selection of equipment but the gym etiquette is terrible , people just take thier shirts off in the free weight section, its hard to find plates for your workout because people leave them scattered around the gym, seen a couple do inappropriate amount of PDA other than that it's not too bad would like to see the rules actually enforced so I can get in and get out without having to walk to 5 different machines to grab weights read more

Membership should come with a gym etiquette class. Worked out here for a week while traveling. Great equipment and spacious. Staff were helpful and professional. However the cliental were very inconsiderate. Would not work out here full time because of the patrons. It's like there's an unwritten rule that no body re-racks their weights. there's just random dumbells thrown about. People working out literally right next to a squat rack in the path of the bar as it moves. EVERYONE leaves their weights on the barbell and just walks away when they are done. I'd bet money that if you walked in right now atleast half the racks and benches would have weight on them with no one using it. read more

I started off with the five day pass to see if I wanted to join or not. The staff are friendly. There are plenty of equipment. The one thing that turned me off about this facility is that NO ONE cleans the equipment after use. The first three days I was there I only witnessed one person wipe their equipment down after use. Very unsanitary and it turned me off. I was having to wipe down each machine before and after I used it. Also, there are a lot of non working machines that were down and needed repair. I might be more inclined to join at a different location, but don't think I will here. read more

You can't listen on your head phones because they have the trash music up so loud you would think your at a rave concert. You can barely concentrate on working out because of the annoying music blaring and thumping in your head smfh!!!! read more

TAKE YOUR MONEY TO A WORTHWHILE GYM. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The staff is extremely rude and unhelpful (when they are even at the front desk). Specifically, the bean pole who is attempting to grow a mustache at the front desk has no manners. I have brought multiple people to the gym which you think would make the business owners happy. This morning, I came to bring another potential member and was flat out rejected. He barely looked up from the bar he was eating to say "Guest hours don't start til 8." with no apology or further explanation. Those hours aren't posted anywhere on the website or app, let alone readily available at the gym. It felt like he was pulling it out of his ass just so he wouldn't have to do his job. I've brought other people there at the time the gym opened without a problem but this particular employee is terrible and scaring away business. I will be canceling my membership and so will the five members who have signed up with me. Try to hire worthwhile employees who don't mind doing their jobs so as not to lose even more business in the future. The gym already has strange hours and a less than desirable location so the owners should be doing what they can to maintain and build clientele. Oh well, off to 24 hours! read more

Plates and dumbbells are everywhere. This is the fault of lazy guests with no manners. However, there ought to be staff putting them back where they belong since the guests can't seem to. I've been going for a week and a half now (short term work trip), and I've seen the same dip pouch on the shower floor. So, the place isn't too clean either. Worst place to get tranning. They are basically scamming people. I enrolled for a tranning seasson and I was assigned trainer after 2 weeks and even that trainer left after a day of seasson. Now that they have not provided any service but still charging on monthly basis and they gonna charge even for next month even though they are not providing any service. I would have given them 0* but we don't have that option. They are basically scamming people. Stay away from this location if you want to be trained. There are many fish in the ocean. read more

DO NOT SIGN UP! They will refuse to cancel your membership! I sent 3 letters and they said they did not get any of them. I sent another certified mail and they said they did not get that either until I gave them the tracking then they all of the sudden received it. Charged me twice for the yearly fee of $37 then charged me a return fee for disputing it. Also charged me for the month that was cancelled. There is nobody to talk to about unjust charges, they do not email you back nor do they send you any bills via paper or email. Then just charge you for whatever they want since you cannot dispute it. I don't ask for much. This place is cheap and I know it. All I want is to ride an exercise bike for 30 minutes a few times a week while I am watching a movie in the movie room. Today I go to Fitness Connection to ride the bike in the movie room but there is no movie. I call to find out what the deal is and they tell me it is not working -- and it hasn't for the last 2 days. It's the new year -- you can't get it working for your busiest time of year? The person doesn't know. I ask for the manager's name so I can talk to her and then she hangs. No good-bye, sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. Very rude! I talk to the manager and I am told the person in charge of getting the movies back on line hasn't gotten to it yet. And she would talk to the person who was rude to me. I asked her what she would do for me to make the inconvenience up to me. Nothing. Not that I want much but caring about your customers would be nice. There you have it. It's cheap and don't expect anything. Except a hard time. read more

Love this gym! I come around a good time when it isn't as packed, so no complaints thus far. 4 stars because the cycle room is so tiny AND the gym class schedules are awful. No problems at all with the gym or staff. Both have been a pleasant experience while I've been coming here. The only issue I have is the hours. One of the deciding factors in signing up with fitness connection was that it was 24/7. I understand the need to alter business hours and practices when covid first started but we are beyond that at this point. And if we're being technical about things, far less people are in the gym in the later hours and on weekends, particularly Sundays, thus making it safer during those times anyway. When will normal hours resume? Or at the very least extended hours and Sundays? I don't want to switch gyms but I signed up at a 24/7 gym for a reason. read more

I have no problem with the gym itself, and found the gym to be in good condition overall and the monthly membership fee to be more than fair. But as to the unethical and unrighteous business practices, they deserve to be sued. I've had two horrible experiences: 1) Late fees and penalties on top of late fees: If your credit card company updates your credit card (in my case, because I got mugged, had my wallet stolen, and had to have every card replaced), Fitness Connection will not notify you that your automated monthly payments aren't being made. Instead--months later or whenever you realize it yourself--you'll find that you've been billed $20 to $30/mo in late fees and penalties. There's no mercy, and if you want to cancel your account you won't be allowed to until you've paid the fees and penalties in full. Imagine how many people have slowly stopped going to the gym, forgotten to cancel their account (or been unwilling to admit they're not working out anymore, and kept it live), had credit card info change over time, and then when they finally decided to cancel found that they owe $100 - $500 in penalties and late fees, but were never notified. 2) Cancellation: Unless you're willing to dedicate more than an hour to cancel your membership in order to save $10 - $20/mo by canceling your membership, you cannot cancel your membership. So time and time again you try calling to cancel, but whether you're caller #52 in the cue or caller #31, when you realize how long the call is going to take, you give up and try calling later...only to find you're stuck. I would guess the company makes the majority of its revenue by members who don't come to the gym but have either forgotten about their monthly fees because the fees are relatively small and billed automatically, or because it's so difficult to cancel that most give up and tell themselves that even if they just go to the gym once or twice a month, the fees are worth it. But of course they don't. So the company keeps making money from countless people every month simply by making it prohibitively difficult to cancel. read more

Their representative Alicia was very unprfessional while talking to me, instead of helping me out she was was ignorant to my problems. They are not professional please do not join this gym. They say it is only $10 monthly but they have been charging me $23.82 every month. They should not operate gym, gym association should monitor these kind of regulations of cancellation process. If we have to write a mail for cancellation, we should also be asked to join through mail. Why are they running this kind of wicked activities. I loved my gym. Been a member off and on for over 7 yrs. I wish I had one closer to my home. Its kinda hectic going right after work to the irving locale. Its packed like sardines by the time I get there. Which is understandable, its a popular location. Wish someone would oversee and enforce putting weights back in their place and not hogging them. That's a big problem. But other than that. Cool gym. I just need one closer to my home...and there is no fitness connection near me. read more

Their membership special is what drove me to get a membership in the first place but if I knew how hard it would be to cancel I would have given it a second thought. The gym has come a long way since it was first opened. They added more machines and expanded the gym by adding a second level with additional cardio machines and a weight room exclusively for women. They also have a decent selection of classes available. Even with all the extra room and added machines, it was still impossible to get a decent workout in a reasonable time sometimes. Many times it is jammed pack with people on the machines who are just chit-chatting away instead of working out. The cleanliness of the machines are also questionable at times as well as the women's locker room. But the biggest thing that truly made my blood boil was when I wanted to cancel my membership they told me I had to type out a letter stating I wanted to cancel my membership and mail it out. I couldn't just speak to a representative or go online, but instead go through an archaic method that is time consuming and benefits them greatly. Because of the turn around time between me mailing the letter and them actually fulfilling my request, my membership renewed itself for another month and I was charged with their annual fee. When I asked if they could reimburse at least a portion of those fees they told, "Unfortunately we cannot. It is what it is." This experience is the reason why I am cautious of join small gyms like Fitness Connection. read more

Well I had a very bad experience on this particular gym .. My locker was opened and my personal stuff stolen. . My identity taken and my credit cards max out in less than an hour well at least that's what I think it could have been sooner. . Management was never found front desk did know what to do but call mall security and to top it all I was charged because they couldn't charge there fees because my card was cancelled. . DO NOT LOOK PAST THIS REVIEW I have been charged on an account since 2018 on a Deactivated account. They have billed me for over $400 and they will not remove my card from an account without replacing it with another card that is an even my name on the account. I have been paying them on my account since 2015 on automatic payments and it's never been late and they are telling me that they cannot remove the other account or refund me and have had a month to fix the issue and still have not. They even went as far as telling me there has been zero activity on that Member ID and still will not cancel that account and then continue to charge me after they know the issue. I have to get my lawyer involved and pay for them to reimburse me the money that they shouldn't even have been charging me. To top it off none of the managers have assisted or called me back in regards to this and are dodging my calls. And I can't even cancel that account because that account is an even under my name legally and they don't have the card under the person's account has the same name they are charging my Credit card for somebody else's account. Corp office tells me to prove it's my credit card and I stated look at my account and see it's my credit card. These people are frauds and the only thing I can do is post HONEST REVIEWS. read more

Today Sunday May 5 2019 I had one of worst experience at this Fitness property this is the worst place I ever seen in the face of the earth you feel like you are in a trash field this FITNESS CONNECTION DIRTY AND FILTHY showers are not clean not disinfected the lockers are like trash cans and the Manager extremely rude HE SHOULD BE FIRED for not helping to maintain this property to the optimum quality health standards this guy he doesn't care at all I personally face him and complaint to him about this issue his answer was the person he doesn't have anyone to clean it there were 5 sales rep and him I'm sure they could it team up and clean the property this is the second time that happens I'm done with this property I will never return I don't want to catch hepatitis or other transmitted decease unhealthy property I hope anyone from the state of Texas and the city or Irvin should take action immediately to shut down the place before some catch a fungus or any other transmites illness.. read more

I've been going to this gym for 3 years and it's gotten way better this year. I'm a very simple gym goer- just need some space, weights and a treadmill. There's a small women's only area upstairs with a dimly-lit treadmill/bike room and movies playing. My only issue is the treadmill room has very limited space so it's hard to find a spot after 3pm, but I LOVE having a women's only section. It would be amazing if they had lockers by the women's section instead of just downstairs. The new employees are what make me enjoy going here. They're all young and friendly, and they seem very genuine in their interactions with me. They literally wave if I'm walking out and they haven't told me to have a good day yet. Previous employees weren't rude, they just didn't make me want to keep coming back. As for the folks that go here, it's annoyingly competitive. You can feel the judgement the second you walk inside. read more
