The older woman who gave my massage was extremely rude from the beginning. She repeatedly scolded me to "relax," even after I calmly explained that I was relaxed. When she began working on my calves, she was putting so much of her body weight on them that it became painful. I told her it hurt, expecting her to adjust the pressure. I asked the front desk to stop the session and she kindly shared that I didn't have to pay for 30 min I was there because she visibly saw me upset. For context, I lift weights regularly, so some muscle tightness is normal. Tight muscles do not mean someone isn't relaxed. Being repeatedly lectured instead of listened to made the entire experience stressful rather than relaxing.
