Okay. I had pretty low expectations since this place is in a college town and there were barely 20-somethings working the front. I usually don't order drunken noodles because they are made super heavy and not that great, but my boyfriend wanted them, so we ordered them. Um, they use the BEST beef I have ever had in any Thai restaurant. Also, amount of veggies and flavor. Well done. Curry was good- best part was their tofu- AMAZING flavor and texture. The bean sprouts in my Kow Man Kai were really good. I should've gotten more; they added a slightly sweet flavor. The chicken was fine, but it's not hard to cook chicken, although it stayed moist. But my dish got just a pre-measured dollop of that great ginger-soy dressing. I think the dish would be more successful if they add the sauce to the chicken when they fire the dish. And also, I cannot be the only person who looks at a brown-stained egg and just feel a jolt of revulsion. I know it's nit-picky and the color came from the sauce, but still... I probably would give them another try, even though my stomach thought I was trying to kill it the next day. And also, REALLY IMPORTANT to specify what heat you prefer: mild, medium, or very. Came here for a friend's birthday lunch for the first time and we were all really pleasantly surprised at the quality, options, value and experience overall! Really cute kitschy and eclectic decor, plus the staff are really nice. We started with the fresh rolls and "shrimp in a blanket" - I preferred the former over the latter. Next we tried the volcano roll and the spicy salmon roll, both were really good though the volcano was a little too heavy on the mayo in the crab salad topping of the roll in my opinion. For our main dish we tried the basil fried rice with tofu (really flavorful), the veggie pho (meh) and the swai fish rice soup. All of them were great, the fish rice soup was a stand out and something new to me. It really hit the spot after hiking in the cool fall weather previously that day. We ended the meal with a Thai iced coffee and a Thai tea. Highly recommended. Would have taken a picture but we totally scarfed everything down. Our group agreed this was the best meal we've had in a while and kept exclaiming how good it all was throughout the meal. Looking forward to visiting again next time we pass through Boone! read more

I love their Beef Pho! Sadly, I can't comment on the rest of the menu because I only get the beef pho! Next time I'm going to try their other menu items but the pho can't be beat! Sabeing has a very cozy intimate atmosphere. I would recommend this place for a date or small group of people. Out of all the dishes I have tried here my favorite is the Pad Thai. The prices are not crazy and the service is always good. Not to mention it is byob!! You will for sure catch college kids here with a bottle of wine and solo cups! read more

Incredible little place! My Pad See Ew was amazing! Sushi was ok to good but maybe it was just what we ordered wasnt quite for us. Most impressive of all was the hospitality. I can say without any exaggeration this was the worst sushi experience of my life. We ate what we could and it only tasted okay but eating it was nearly impossible. The rolls were cut too big and completely uneven and every single roll fell apart. They even up charged me for cooked salmon after the bill went through. Sabeing is on a different level. It's actually kind of annoying how amazing this place is. I used to cook from home most, if not all, days of the week. Now I've got this ongoing debate about whether I should 'cook from home' or 'order Sabeing... again'. I never regret choosing the second option, no matter recent it's been since my last Sabeing sesh. I've ordered items from across the menu, and everything is consistently dank. Fresh, colorful, and authentic - every time. Their online ordering system is easy-to-use, and I've never waited more than 15 minutes for my food (typical wait time is around 10 minutes). I also LOVE the staff! They're super nice and friendly, and if you order weekly (lol) they quickly remember your name and your favorite orders. They're the best. Anywhoo. This restaurant is excellent. I've been here twice now and the food and the service are both excellent. I've had the red curry with rice and the green curry with rice noodles. Rice noodles inctead of rice is the way to go! Delicious! I also tried their Thai coffee and it was very good. Not too sweet. Just how I like it. Tucked away right off King Street is this cozy little Thai spot that has some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Started with the Thomkha Soup with Shrimp and the burst of flavors released awoke ever taste bud. Sweet, Spicy and just beautiful pot of goodness. I am not a resident of Boone, only an occasional visitor. On February 13 at about 5:30pm, a friend and I went for dinner. I ordered fried rice with pork. I absolutely, positively believe that the meat on the plate was spoiled. It reeked, and not of spices and flavoring, but of something that had been in the freezer for far too long, cooked, stored in the frig for far too long, and served. I knew the instant the server put the plate in front of me. It was truly disgusting. That was my third visit to Sabeing in as many years. The first two visits the food was passable, certainly nothing special. This visit, which will be my last, was disgusting and quite possibly a health hazard. Shame on the "cook" for trying to save a dime by serving rotten food. read more

Never order the Thai food here. The drunken noodles were soft and falling apart, at times fused together. Little flavor at all and the consistency of the noodles only made the experience worse. The Pad Thai was sub-par and I felt like I was eating school cafeteria spaghetti dressed in the markings of a Pad Thai flavor. They force you to tip even before you try the food. I had high expectations but it seems that they either don't care, or simply don't specialize in Thai food. Try other things possibly but 100% not Drunken Noodle. The Fresh Rolls were good. As an appetizer I'd recommend the crab rangoons, I would get two orders to be honest because one order is good for one person (4 rangoons). We ordered multiple sushi rolls but my absolute fav was the Sabeing sushi roll, a lightly fried seafood haven. The prices were beyond cheap (4 rangoons for $3 and noodle dishes for $10 average). Portions are huge. The only downfall is the sushi isn't BOGO, however you can order an appetizer plus a sushi roll which should be filling enough to satisfy the hunger. read more

It's only been open a week, and I'm sure they're still working out kinks, but we had a really nice meal in what has been called a "cursed" location. I think this restaurant is going to work in their great downtown Boone spot, right across from art hubs The Turchin Center and Reckless Arts. We got a little salmon sushi (fresh and delicious), chicken pho, and shrimp tom yum soup. My husband had the pho and wished there were a little more fresh basil to put in. Both soups were good, but we'd love a little more help making them easy to eat; the chicken was in pieces too large for one bite, the shrimp still had the tails on, the fresh tomatoes in the tom yum were in larger-than-bite-size chunks, and there were lots of little pieces of lemongrass to navigate around so we didn't accidentally eat this inedible ingredient. The decor is really cute and a huge improvement over the previous incarnations. I like how they've stashed little critters in some of the branches above the tables. There are two other things that would make this business significantly better. One is if they asked people whether or not they wanted straws; we didn't, but the waiter automatically gave them to us, and then put them on his discard pile when he was clearing plates. For environmentally responsible people (and there are lots in this town near App's great sustainability program), this is troublesome. The other is music. There was a cheesy Rod Stewart greatest hits kind of thing on, and my husband serenaded me with a medley of it all the way home. Better music, please. Apparently they don't have their liquor license yet, but welcome people to bring their own. We look forward to going back! read more

Wanted to try this spot because I heard it was a nice authentic Asian spot in Boone. The food was subpar, I had the drunken noodles spicy and it had a kick but wasn't spicy enough. I would order the drunken noodle again if I were to go because the flavor was good and the texture was spot on but I would definitely get it the Thai spicy level. My boyfriend had the Kow Moo Dang and it was not very pleasant. For one think they served a half boiled egg instead of a fried one like stated in the menu.
