I went to this place mainly because I thought I was ordering from Oshu House. When I arrived, it smelt like rotten vegetables on the inside. I carried my plate out to the car and it reeked of rotten vegetables inside the car as well. I ordered steak and chicken teriyaki with crab ragoons. The crab ragoons were fully yellow and mushy. When I opened up my tray, there was not much food as I expect and receive from other Japanese restaurants even though the price was the same amount at every other Japanese restaurant I've been to. The rice was yellow and the meat was very rubbery. Will not come here again and threw out my food after having three bites. Made the mistake of picking up the food when it states it's a Chinese and Japanese food place and not solely focused on their Japanese cuisines. read more

Friendly service and decent Chinese food. I will say I was unsure of what to do when we first walked in. There is a buffet set up in front of the counter. You can also order regular Chinese meals for dine in or take out. General Tso's chicken was good but could use more flavor and the shrimp fried rice was a huge take out box full. The 90 for a score should be your first deterrent. This was me giving this place a 2nd chance, BIG mistake. I ordered General Tso's chicken dinner. I asked for the fried rice with NO onions but it's all premade so I had to get the 1/2 cup of white rice and I wanted the egg drop soup but they didn't have any so I ordered the side salad which consisted of a few lettuce leaves and about 4 slices of carrots with a flavorless dressing. I got a side of spring rolls, literally the size of my index finger and tasteless. The General Tso's chicken was not in the traditional sticky type of sauce it was more like soup and didn't even stick to the bites of chicken. As I sat waiting forever for my tasteless meal, someone would go back to the kitchen and the door swung open enough for me to see 2 large shelves stacked with bins of dirty dishes from what I can only suspect was from lunch considering they close after lunch and reopen at 4:30 and I was they first one in when they opened for dinner. The sitting area and salad "buffet" was unclean at best. Very dirty looking place. So needless to say NEVER again. Since I work in Boone I will get my Chinese "fix" at Taste Grill where the food is good and take it home. Don't waste your money with Osaka. read more

I had lunch and the Kung Pao chicken was quite good. The Hot and sour soup was not (spicy) hot and needed a little salt. Service was excellent. I just had one negative. The food labelled hot and spicy was mild. The "hot" sauce was very mild. read more

The decor leaves much to be desired, but that's the only negative. Cashew nut chicken was good and had ample cashews. Often restaurants will skimp on the pricer items contained in a dish even when the ingredient is key to the dish. Not the case here. Beef n garlic was very good. I'd have this again. read more

Great food great service I love this place I work at Walmart and tend to go here for lunch. It's just right across the road. They server both Chinese and Japanese food with a wide selection of each i normally get the Dragon and Phenix with won-ton soup the service is always kind and very responsive so i normally love coming here would do so any day of the week read more

The food was great. The Kung Pow Chicken is awesome! On a strange note, the guy that waited on me came around the table, where my friends and I had finished our meal, mumbling something to himself several times while looking straight ahead. Not sure what it was he was saying. As I watched I saw him doing it to several other people me and my friends took that as a cue to leave. In short, the food was great, the waiter was disturbing. Stopped in on July 8th for a dinner meal Walked in and seated myself, there were only two empty tables. Ordered the hibachi shrimp and an unsweetened tea. All I can say is the food was excellent and no problems encountered at all. I would highly recommend eating here. They will be getting repeated business from me. Good food. I always call out sesame chicken and hot and sour soup for lunch. It is always fresh and steaming when I pick it up. The portion size seems larger when ordering take out as well. The bad part of this place is that it's small inside and can become overcrowded at lunch time. The dinner entrees are several dollars more expensive than the lunch versions and no bigger in portion size so you fair better to go at lunch. Best (and really only) place to go in ashe for Japanese and Chinese. read more

Normally we enjoy our trips to Osaka, but today this was not the case. Our waiter's breath was so offensive I could not finish my meal.

I went here with my boyfriend. We paid with a card but tipped with cash, and as we were walking out the door the waiter yelled at us across the entire restaurant, "NO TIP?". We corrected him and pointed out the $5 bill left on the table, and left without further words. Later to find out this was one of the owners of the establishment. VERY disappointed in the food, service, and staff. Never going here again. read more
