This is a nice place to take the family out for ice cream. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Moving the line right along. As children entered the building with the expectation of getting a sweet treat, there was an instant excitement and joy that filled the space. I had orange sherbet and it was delicious! Creamy and dreamcicle flavorful! The nostalgia of the flavor took me back to my 7 year old self getting a push up from the ice cream truck. I plan to return to try some the other many flavors of ice cream and sherbet they have. I highly recommend.

10/10 I would highly recommend! I had the pleasure of being served by the owner Johnny, who was very sweet and kind. I got the mangonada which was the perfect combo of sweet and salty. It had mango ice cream, fresh mango pieces, chamoy, tajin, and tamarind candy. I also got the bionico which reminded me of a parfait or fruit cereal. It had fresh cut strawberries, banana, and apples drenched in a sweet cream sauce topped with granola and coconut flakes. Both were delicious and refreshing. This place is perfect to bring the family; nice, bright and appealing to the eye. Might I add very clean!

We visited Sabor Tropical in mid afternoon on Saturday. It has decent number of tables for groups and small gathering over sweets and Mexican snack. It has great selection that I think everyone can find one that suit oneself. We tried a few. Fresas con crema, recommend for anyone that like strawberry and sweet cream, for someone like me that is very picky on sweet, it is a little too sweet for me. Classic ice cream - avocado, vanilla, pistachio, and chocolate mint over waffle cone. I love the crispy waffle cone that balance out the sweetness and have crunchy texture, anyone loves classic ice cream would not be disappointed. The biggest surprise is shaved ice, I tried the cucumber flavor, its freshness just cut through all the sweetness and make it a good refresher from time and time, especially on a day that was a bit hot. I look forward trying other juice shaved ice.

This place is great for a cheat day and for kids. I got the equite, watermelon agua fresco, and nachos. It's located right off 52 and has an open and welcoming atmosphere. Staff was nice and ran the whole place solo. Everything was clean and there are so many options

It's been a hot minute since I've reviewed, and not since their remodel! This pllllaAAAACCCEEEEE is amazing. Paletas, some of the nicest and freshest that I've had, and so flavorful. Always a smile and helpful advice if you need it: go, try something new and enjoy!

Located on the Southside of Winston-Salem, it's a great place for an afternoon/evening snack. Your choices of ice cream, smoothies or milkshakes with authentic flavors you don't find at just any ice cream shop, like Tamarindo, mazapan, ganzito, and original flavors too, along with natural fruit flavors popsicles aswell. They also have your choice of nachos and corn, esquites, which are my favorite and more. It's definitely a place to stop by for some real authentic Mexican treats. You will be satisfied

This is a great place to stop by for your not so basic ice cream flavors. There were so many flavors to choose from like mango, tamarind, lime, arroz con leche, and more. They were out of a few of flavors so I was sad I didnt get a chance to see or sample them. They also sell paletas in a variety of flavors and all handmade. I got two scoops: one of mango and one of coconut. The mango flavor didn't come through too much but the coconut did. I really liked that it was smooth even though it wasn't like a traditional creamy ice cream. Lastly, their prices are very affordable! The 2 scoops in a cup was ~$3

The food and drinks were bussing like the upgrade here was lit I recommend!!!! The service was the vibe it was littttt!!! The colors here are so vibrant and it really gives Mexicans a good name.

We ended up waiting about 30 minutes. They had decorated the outside with Harry Potter-themed decorations, which made the wait more enjoyable. It was fun looking at everything while we were in line. I was originally planning to order something from their regular menu but since they still had their Harry Potter-themed sundaes, I decided to try the Butterbeer Sundae (with a light amount of whipped cream). It was really good! My son ordered the Bailey Banana and he really enjoyed it as well.

Housed in a former Coca-Cola bottling plant, Grandpa Joe's pays homage to the site's history through its red and black décor. The menu offers salads, floats, and soft serve though pizza is the star attraction. It is served by the rectangular slab (about $8 per). Order at the counter, grab a number for your table, and wait for the oven to work its magic. For our first visit, my wife and I split a trio of slabs -- an Italian sausage, a mushroom, and a tomato and burrata -- with a side of marinara. All three were excellent. The focaccia crusts were crispy while still retaining airiness. From melty mozzarella to savory, fennel-forward sausage, Grandpa Joe's uses high-quality ingredients. The marinara was good: bright, fresh, and just a bit sweet. The mushroom slab came topped with arugula and shaved parmesan. Despite seeming like a gimmick (pizza? Salad? Why not both?), it proved an effective combination: the arugula's bitterness played well with the mushrooms' earthy flavors. There will be a certain type of pizza connoisseur for whom anything that isn't New York style is, by definition, fraudulent. For those with horizons broad enough to enjoy a thicker crust, Grandpa Joe's is the best of that kind that I've found in the Triad.

Grandpa Joe's Slaberia absolutely lived up to the hype. My wife and I tried the Italian Sausage,…read morethe Tomato Confit, and the Burrata slabs, and every single one was packed with flavor. The crust had that perfect balance of crispy and airy, and you can tell they care about the quality of the ingredients. And can we talk about the house ranch... or should I say Granch? Whatever it's called, it's ridiculously good. I would've dipped just about anything in it. The funniest part? Everything was so good that we completely forgot to take pictures before digging in. If you're in Winston-Salem and you're looking for pizza that's a little different from the usual, this place deserves a visit. We'll definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the menu.
