What a summer treat! If you are not aquatinted with this place you need to add it to your summer routine. The ice cream is fantastic. They are not stingy with the servings and the management is doing something right. The employees for the most part seem to be teens and they are some of the best employees I have seen in a minute. Love this place! Been coming here for years, I updated my review because I have a 1 year old and my perspective has changed a lot. Their ice cream is awesome but unfortunately an ice cream store that is "family friendly" isn't so family friendly. There is no high chairs, the seating is all very large/tall chairs, nowhere for small children to sit safely. There's also mancala on all the tables, not really a family friendly game, small children can put them in their mouths easily and choke on them. I think they need to rethink the space and make their furniture and games for family friendly. It's possible the owner doesn't have children and doesn't know, that's why I'm giving this advice! read more

This ice cream tastes soooo good!!! It's very creamy, soft, and full of flavor. You can ask to sample any of the flavors. The staff are all so friendly and bubbly and they're quick to get your ice cream scooped so even if there's a big line you won't be waiting long. This place is also so clean and you can tell people like to work there. There's plenty of seating inside and there's even a cute outdoor area with picnic tables and umbrellas to sit outside. The first time I went a couple weeks ago I got a cup of graham central station and I've been back two times since to get it again. I stumbled upon this adorable ice cream shop the other day, and WOW am I glad I did! First, I love Bluebell ice cream and the incredible variety of flavors made it really hard to choose what to get. The two employees working the counter were warm and friendly; they helped me pick a winning combination - a scoop of dark chocolate raspberry and a scoop of sea salt caramel in a homemade waffle cone. Both the flavors and cone were fresh and tasted amazing and the portions were huge. The sea salt caramel ice cream was the best caramel flavored ice cream I've ever had. And the dark chocolate raspberry was rich without being too sweet. Next time, I'll probably need to stick with just one scoop though! The shop itself was really cute with several indoor tables. There were games such as checkers set out on several of the tables. There also seemed to be a lot of outdoor picnic tables, making Ozzie's a great place to hang out when the weather is warmer. read more

I'm happy to see Ozzie's going strong. It was VERY busy when I stopped by after a stroll at the Guilford Courthouse National park. There's plenty of flavors to go around like the delicious cookie dough, or creamy oatmeal. I also appreciate their simple classics like vanilla. After our granddaughters dance class we wanted to get her some ice cream. Checking Yelp, there was Ozzie's and a chain brand near us. We always like to support local businesses so we came here to Ozzie's. They have 16 primary flavors but there are a lot of items on their menus including malts which are hard to find and so yummy. The only thing is they don't have any other ice cream flavors labeled but that wasn't big enough for me to deduct a star. The employees are all young adults. They were friendly and outgoing and obviously having a lot of fun at their job. The joy permeated the air and it was contagious. My wife got a cup with two scoops and we got our granddaughter a cup with one scoop. They have a large outdoor seating area with picnic tables and since the weather was nice we ate out there. Some some really enjoyed our time and will be going back every week now after dance class. Ozzie's is now part of our new family routine. read more

Recently moved to the area and drove past this spot multiple times and had to try it out. We stopped here about 30 mins before closing on a Monday night and had a mixed experience. The employees were getting ready to shut down and sweeping the floors, tallying the counter. They were attentive to help us out figure out their menu as there were a lot of flavors. We did try out a few but it felt like they wanted us out of their as quickly as possible. This did not let me enjoy the indoors at all and appreciate the ambience they had setup. But outside was pretty serene at that time so I didn't mind too much. Anyways, I rushed and got the espresso and dark chocolate raspberry truffle both in cones. The ice cream was extremely good and so was their outdoor seating. But the experience with the staff wanting me out left a bitter taste in my mouth But since it was close to closing, I dont hold it against them and have only taken 1 star off. I live for a cute little ice cream shop in the summer, and Ozzie's completely delivers! The first thing you see when you pull up are all the captivating murals on the walls. So inviting and vibrant, this is definitely a place I want to hang out. Upon going inside, they have their menu written on the wall and holy crap. So many flavors and different ways you can eat your ice cream from cup, cone, milkshake, malt, sundae, etc etc. I also love the fact that they have all of my favorite Hershey's and blue bell ice cream! My partner and I were bored on a Friday night, so we decided to go out to look for some ice cream since it was so nice out. I got a cake cone with two scoops, cookies and cream and strawberry, while my partner got a waffle cone with cookies and cream and rainbow sherbert. It was a good variety for us to try and we were both very happy with our selections! The scoops were generous as well. The pricing was reasonable for an ice cream parlor. My only complaint was that the piece of paper that's wrapped around the cake cone seemed to be glued to the cone, so I didn't feel comfortable eating that area of the cone because there was adhesive from the paper stuck to it. read more
