For dessert we all had the Serradura (Portuguese Sawdust Pudding) which was made with a meringued cream, whipped cream, and crushed cookies mixed together. Very delicious, not too sweet and not too filling. All around there was brick, stone and solid wood. I felt like I was in what I imagined a restaurant in Portugal would be like back in the day. The servers were friendly. I gives me the sense that it is a good place to have a range of events - from a business lunch to a celebratory party. There is lots of space in the restaurant with different rooms. One room seemed specifically set up for large parties whereas another room was set up like a typical restaurant. Our party was able to relax and enjoy ourselves without ever feeling any time pressures from the staff. It was quite an enjoyable experience.

You make your plate, weigh and pay about $10 per pound. My feijoada plate from the attached picture had a little less than a pound so I paid around $9 which is a great deal especially if you compare to other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is somewhat small, simple, but there are enough tables for everyone even during lunch hours. Staff is friendly, they give you privacy to pick your food without anyone bothering you, food is tasty and the variety is ok. I wish they had Brazilian barbecue similar to other restaurants in the area but I can't really complain because the food and price were great. Compared to other Brazilian restaurants in the area this place has a big advantage because the process is very simple. Other restaurants such as Casa Nova, Cantinho Mineiro, Delícia de Minas also offer a buffet option but their process is very complicated. They have a prix fixe option for a set price and then if you add meat it's a different price, if you want to take something to go you need to pick a prix fixe container for a different price. It's just too confusing and I don't really like that, hence my preference for this Brazilian buffet restaurant. Don't expect any luxury or lots of variety. This is a practical restaurant offering food for a fair price. I definitely recommend it. Note that there's just street parking and the Wilson Ave area tends to be busy so keep that in mind.

I would have scored them higher, but I found most of the beef options to be kind of tough. My favorite meat options coming around were the lamb, chicken, and chicken hearts. We ended our meal with the grilled pineapple covered in cinnamon and grilled cheese with honey. Both were delicious. Parking is a pain the area, but at their price point, I'd go again.

You can also add barbecue meat, chicken and other Brazilian churrasco. The food itself was good but I was surprised by the price. My wife and I paid around $25 each (no drinks) and excluding tips which is too much for a simple weekday lunch. We didn't even put that much food and our total bill was over $50. If we had had drinks, our bill would have been more than $60. When we go to other buffet restaurants such as Copacabana in Astoria, Queens, we pay around $12 each for the same amount of food including bbq. Brazilian buffet is another option in Newark much cheaper (they don't offer bbq meat though). Newark needs more simple Brazilian restaurants where you can grab a quick lunch buffet style with no frills for less than $15 during lunch time. Stop with the "all you can eat" and all the fancy stuff and leave the rodízio for the evening hours. I won't be back for lunch because there are many other choices such as Hamburgao and other Brazilian restaurants where you can have lunch for less than $15.

This was my first time trying Sabor Unido, I decided to give it a shot after reading all the good reviews on Yelp. I ordered for delivery, and the first good thing I noticed about Sabor Unido is the lady who took my order was very friendly, unlike A LOT of other places around here where the person taking orders sounds like a straight up miserable A$$4073 and has a terrible attitude problem. Oh! And she spoke English pretty well, thank god, because my Spanish and Portuguese are definitely still a work in progress! Anyways, the food arrived fairly quickly (approx. 25 min) I ordered the whole roasted chicken. It was absolutely delicious! The meat literally fell off of the bone and was so soft, juicy, and flavourful. The two reasons I did not give this restaurant the complete 5 stars is because the rice that came with the meal was plain white rice. For me white rice is very dull and boring, especially with a meal of that fantastic flavor. They didn't have any Spanish yellow rice on the menu, that is the reason why I didn't ask for that instead. And my second reason for not giving a 5 star rating is because the portion was not much. I ordered a whole order and for $17 anywhere else in Ironbound you get a plethora of food. What an absolutely wonderful restaurant ! Everything was prepared with such care and with a great presentation. My wife and I had the chicken marsala which was very tasty . The portions were generous. We both had sides of mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach and both again were excellent. The bread ,the very kind and appealing waitress brought us ,was fresh and very good and the dessert that she recommended was out of this world. Our decaf cappuccino was the best I've ever had and the whipped cream that came with it was the real delicious deal no junk from a bag or a can. I had been eager to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival, I found convenient parking nearby and walked into a small, charming spot. My friend was already there and ordering with our waitress who was fantastic! We began with a pitcher of sangria, which was delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough. My friend wanted Brazilian. I did a Google search and said, "let's go here I have a good felling" well kudos to my feelin!! What a great place. Food was phenomenal!! And I love Orlando!!! He saw I need to wipe my glasses and came over with a moist towelette!!! And to think we just had tapas!!! So we are definately making this a go to spot!! I am gushing over the meal we had here. From amazing craft cocktails to an unforgettable dinner. Raphael, Julia, and Louis spoiled us. The cocktails were in fun glasses and were light and flavorful. We ordered entirely off the specials menu: oxtail, steak, and pork. All the mains were great - really flavorful and well cooked. We happened into Sabor Unido accidentally and could not have been more lucky. Friendly service and authentic deliciously prepared cuisine. The steak picana and the garlic shrimp were amazingly good and flavorful. The side dishes all delicious and authentic. The food was amazing and there was excellent service. My friends and I got the shrimp in garlic sauce, which came with two sides of your choice, and the grill chicken. We sat at the bar and the lady tenders were nice and attentive early on. The ambiance and decor is classy and traditional Iberian. Super Bock on tap is always a plus especially when ice cold like it was served. A Paella and a Monkfish dishes were ordered. And took no less than an hour to come out. Since we ordered no appetizers, it was and felt like forever. The major disappointment was no tender checking on us. Had I been asked if I wanted another Super Bock at anytime in the last half hour of waiting, I would have been able to ask that they check on my food. Not that I should remind anyone how to do their jobs. Then the minor disappointment. For all that wait, all the customers rolling in, all the nice atmosphere, the food was just good but not great. The best outcome was lots of leftovers for entrees priced on the higher side for Portuguese food.

It's a perfect spot for a pre-game or pre-event meal with a welcoming moderate ambiance (i.e., cloth tablecloths but jeans-friendly). I had the Garlic Chicken Cutlet entree ($34), a very generous serving of four pieces of tender, boneless chicken breast smothered in a bright, savory lemon garlic sauce, served alongside "Spanish fries" (which are actually delicious house-made potato chips) and fresh collard greens. It was incredibly tasty and very filling, with enough leftovers for lunch the next day! My dining companion went with the Garlic Shrimp entree ($35), paired with the "Spanish fries" and steamed veggies. She absolutely loved it.. noting that the shrimp were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. To wash it all down, we each had a glass of the house special red sangria. It was fantastic -- bright, fruity, and clearly made with fresh ingredients rather than a sugary mix. Yum! PRO TIP #1: Bring cash. Chateau of Spain has added a 4% surcharge for credit card payments. PRO TIP #2: Check your bill. A 15% gratuity is automatically included on all checks. Our server was great and explicitly pointed this out to avoid any confusion, but keep it in mind when calculating an extra tip.

The restaurant itself was very clean, spacious, and had plenty of seating available. My server was friendly, attentive, and the service was very fast. My only downside was the pricing. Even the lunch specials felt a bit expensive, and I wish there were more budget-friendly options overall. Aside from that, I had a great experience and would definitely consider coming back with family. :-)

There are residences adjacent, industry across the street, and nothing screams "upscale" about the neighborhood. * There are no small portions, and there are no small prices. You will pay a lot here. You will get a lot, and it will be good, but be ready. Our arrival was leisurely, to say the least. We were seated promptly and served olives, followed by the rustic bread they are paired with, and then oil to paint the bread. These should all have come out together. The bread came in three varieties: soft fresh sourdough, wheat, and slices that were rather sweet. And any time the bread was finished, more bread came out. But for some reason, the menus did not. It took an unusually long time for the menus - meanwhile, the drink menus were on the table the moment we sat down... And then when we were not quite ready to order, they left us alone for a long time before we motioned for them to get our order. And then it took a long time for food to arrive, though with 12 people that's understandable. At the best restaurants, they'll get a few waiters to bring all 12 dishes at once. Ours arrived a few at a time, but at least in succession so that no one person (me being last) waited for minutes beyond the others. I had the grilled octopus special. It was very tasty, cooked well, with a great grilled flavor but rather over-oiled. Others got gigantic paellas and every one of them took at least half home to go. For those prices, you'd better get at least two meals out of it! * So, the last and most notable finding: Beware of deceit. We ordered two sangria pitchers. They asked for our third one, but then just brought a fourth to the table and started refilling glasses without even asking anyone. I do not believe that was comped, but that's not my department. They asked if people wanted water, and then started filling our water glasses with artisan bottled water. They were happy to keep our water refilled, and I guarantee those were also on our bill. Verdict: You have three choices. Either arrive here with someone who will stay sober and mindful of what is being brought to the table; arrive here as a group with cost-no-object and drink, enjoy, pay whatever they charge you; or skip. Because getting food to-go here seems to miss the point of the atmosphere and the experience. I was in the second of the three choices, and I'm capable of the first, but I won't blame you for choosing to go elsewhere and get Portuguese food at a fairer value.
