This is authentic Venezuelan food! Just like in Venezuela (or homemade) I ordered the Cachapa with just the cheese and it was AMAZING! My husband got the Arepa with Chicharrón (pork) and he said it was really good. I also got the quesillo (flan) and it was so good. Please be patient with the staff. Some do not speak English and will have to grab another staff member who can speak English. You're getting authentic Venezuelan food here and I loved my experience. It really is like my mom's cooking.

    Caldo de Res

As an amateur food critic and small business owner, I believe in the power of raving fans, wow experiences and going the extra mile. We're not usually in this area however, we decided to give it a try last week and treat the team to lunch. First visit tried the caldo de res and a cachapa and food was exquisite, so satisfying. Bringing memories our Latin culture and flavors and we were sold to return whenever back in the area. Service the first visit was a bit of a different story. Service upon entering not much of a welcome very bland and lacked joy. I can agree with other review left by customer that gentleman greeting and taking orders could benefit from carrying a smile and being more warming to customers, let's keep in mind that food service is part of hospitality and first impressions mean EVERYTHING..... Decided to give it a try once again today, ordered the same caldo de res but was very disappointed, had 1 small piece of meat and the other one was all ox tail with nothing on it. Caldo lacked vegetables unlike the first time where it had big and hearty pieces of veggies and several pieces of meat. Service today was once again like first very dry, dead service from same gentleman. I will say both visits the place is bright and clean. Today's experience has left me tinkering on the edge of the fence whether to come back or not and/or if I would recommend this place to others. I believe in second and third chances and may stop by again but as for now my recommendation is a maybe.. I think the place has lots of potential because of who is in the kitchen and location despite my caldo de res experience today. I'm providing this review to serve in a constructive manner and not to bash anyone or any business as I wish for all small businesses especially those of my Hispanic people to flourish and thrive in this great country called America... til next time yelpers....

Great place for breakfast. They made me just what I wanted. Some egg bacon, some bread and terrifi food. Basically American fare but they have plenty of Hispanic fare. Much better than going to a fast food restaurant for breakfast. I'll be back.

Some friends recommended that I try some authentic flavors of Venezuela here. This spot did not disappoint. Very clean and bright atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Service was excellent. Some of my favorite dishes include: cachapa con queso with shredded chicken, La Abrazada with salsa and asado with ensalada and yuca. So yummy and filling.

    Muy buenas las empanadas

Food was delicious. When I walked in they didn't acknowledge me and I had to ask if you have to order at the counter or sit down first. The man behind the register didn't have great customer service but answered my questions. Then the waiter came and he was great, suggested a dish then let me change it when I saw someone else's food. He was really attentive and I would be back.

Everything is really good! That's my new favorite place... The place, taste and service is amazing. five star

They are all delicious. Their tequeños and pastelitos are great, too. Last night I had the pabellón patacón (shredded beef, black beans & cheese). I didn't realize it also came with coleslaw and ham, and wow...I loved all the flavors!! The ambiance is always great. It was kind of a lot, but that's also due to the menu, which took me awhile to decide on what to eat. Our server was attentive and helpful. We had questions, and he answered to the best of his abilities. He also brought out chips and sauces while we were looking through the menu and described each sauce. We liked the jalapeno and garlic ones the most! The arepa tour was a nice way to try different flavors without having to commit to one choice. The arepas tasted good, though I definitely preferred some over others. If you are not a savory and sweet enjoyer, I would not recommend Pabellon as you can taste the fried plantain in each bite. I liked it, but my friend found it an odd combination. I wasn't the biggest fan of shredded chicken, but that's bc it's typically dry, and while this wasn't super dry, it wasn't exactly as flavorful as the other options. For the main course, the asado negro sounded right up my alley as the arepa version went into detail with how the beef is braised in red wine and sugar cane. It left much to be desired when I ordered the big plate non-arepa version. Just off looks, it wasn't as visually appealing as others' dishes were. Eating it... well, the meat was very, very dry. The sauce was fine, but it didn't help with the dryness of the meat. I most likely ordered wrong since everything else was great. I got quesillo for dessert, which was described as flan, and I found it pretty good. Thicker than I'm used to and not as smooth but with a lovely cinnamon flavor.

While my review itself is a bit late, I do think about this place often because of how good the food was. I haven't had pepitos before, but this made an amazing introduction for me! From the outside, it looked like the rest of the plaza and didn't stand out much. Stepping in, it was surprisingly pretty cool and a bit modern with the lighting and walls. It was clean too. I would recommend getting a pepitos over the burger, though both are great. It's just easier to put away the rest for later because of how filling eating just half is. The fries were crispy and good for trying out all the sauces. And the sauces? Love the variety. The bacon sauce truly tastes like bacon and has bits of it in it. Corn is probably made with sweet corn, and it was creamy. Love the garlic. The honey mustard was good too. Cheese confuses me. It wasn't a cheese flavor I am more familiar with, and it wasn't like the cheese used in the meal. I didn't dislike it, but I also did mix sauces together, and I liked it better once mixed with something else. Garlic still is just great overall though. We ended with churros, which were pretty good. They drizzle lots of chocolate, caramel, and condensed milk over them, and while I felt guilty after eating so much food, I loved every moment. They give quite a bit, and we couldn't finish them all. Great dessert for sharing, and another draw to this place if you don't want a full meal, though I highly recommend getting food as well.

Pardon my French, but... Holy sh*t!…read more I was craving Venezuelan food... and a burger... so I decided to combine the cravings. Normally, when I get Venezuelan food, I'm too drawn to the arepas, empanadas, and cachapas to get something like a burger. I've seen several Venezuelan restaurants with burger options I've wanted to try, but like I said, normally, I go traditional. However, today was the day I decided to finally do it! I opened up UberEats and... what is that? A Teque Burger? Could it be??? Yes! The "bun" is tequeños! Immediately, I knew I had to order one of these. I went with no bacon today and chose cheese sauce as well as house sauce. The description didn't say whether or not it came with fries, so when I saw the temptingly priced $2.99 french fry option, I threw them in my cart. I can't speak on ambiance because I ordered UberEats, but service was quick to pack up my order. My food arrived hot and fresh, just minutes after I made it home from the gym! Perfect. The verdict? As you can tell by the excitement of my review: a huge success! The Teque Burger was grilled to perfection. The tequeno bun was mind blowing. The whole thing was absolutely delicious. I cut my burger in half to save the other half for later. As I ate my burger and devoured the meat, there was still tequeño bun overhang for me to dip into the sauces. They gave me ample garlic sauces which was yummy (always one of my favorites), as well as an orange sauce that I couldn't quite place whether it was house sauce, cheese sauce (it didn't taste like cheese), or their "special ketchup sauce" (is this the same as house sauce? Or is house sauce the garlic sauce? Or is it its own thing? So many questions!). Whatever it was was great. The fries were delicious too! Can't wait to try the pepitos next! I'll be bringing my boyfriend in soon (he's from Venezuela), but he may only be able to eat fries because he doesn't eat meat. Hopefully you get some vegetarian or seafood options in soon... or perhaps I missed them. ¡Muchas gracias!
