My experience is a lesson in great customer service. I had been to Sacks in Phoenix and enjoyed the sandwich. This was my first time at this location. First off, the food was spot on. Very happy with my Thanksgiving themed sandwich (Sacks Improv). Always one of my favorites and this one hit the spot. But what really made me smile was the refreshing positive attitude by the staff. They were funny and friendly, making jokes and having fun. I loved it. It made me feel incredibly welcome and satisfied that I came here. This is my 2nd 1 star review.. who forgets Turkey in your Turkey sandwich???? I'm shocked. I called after it was delivered to me I was offered an apology and "man that sucks I'll speak to the kitchen staff have a nice day".... $27 for delivery and no turkey I had to drive to frys buy my own and make my own $35 sandwich at that point after having a facial procedure where I wasn't allowed in the sun hence why I had it delivered.... read more

I used to come here all the time when I worked in the area and I miss their sandwiches!! They have a set menu or you can create your own. I ordered online during lunch hours because they do get super busy and for a good reason. It's a small family owned shop and they have lots to offer. Everything is fresh and yummy. Bonus points for the delicious mini chocolate chip cookie that comes with each order. - I always end up order a large as well. It's that good. read more

I want to like this place because my kids love it and ask for sandwiches all the time. But I'm always disappointed. Today I picked up my to go order, which they'd packaged in a way that my Buffalo chicken spilled all over and leaked through the bag. And they charged extra for tomatoes on it. Seeing that my last review was over a decade ago, I think it's time for an update and an extra star too... Sacks has three locations but this is the one close to my home that I frequent often... If you're seeking a fresh, filling sandwich or salad in a casual environment, look no further than Sacks! This local biz has been serving up delicious meals for over 25 years! Ten years later, I'm still a huge fan of their Cobb Salad and their balsamic dressing... I also still love their egg salad and tuna salad too. Also a sweet treat (chocolate chip cookie) with every meal is such a nice touch. Service is friendly, parking is easy, and prices are fair. The entrance of sacks already provides a great vibe, you are a greeted by a great staff who provide excellent customer service! The food didn't get served in a few minutes which lead me to believe it was all going to cut and cooked fresh... upon my first bite I was correct and it was delicious! I got the Encore which is their version of a "Philly cheesesteak", I would recommend for sure! Good little surprise to see a cookie at the bottom of our bags too. Above this is a separate spot called "the attic" which I will now check out from my experience at sacks. I would recommend this place and will be going back to Sacks thanks to Jan's Serivce and the quality of their food... as well I will be trying the attic! read more

I come here every week during lunch and i'm a very frequent supporter of their business. However every time i'm there to pick up my sandwich the older lady working who is also the owner i'm pretty sure Jan? is always extremely rude. Today I go to pick up my sandwich and the lady next to me saw she was about to give her my sandwich instead of hers and so i said oops i think that one is mine and the lady working screams on the top of her lungs IM NOT GETTING YOURS and other things and starts talking to the other lady extremely passive aggressively. This experience has made me no longer want to ever return here no matter how much i like the sandwich. read more

The sandwiches are always tasty and ready pretty quickly. I just tried their Reuben for the first time and it was quite delicious. The cole slaw is a great complement to the meat. I must have hit Sacks on just the wrong day. I was excited to try them because my husband used to eat here years ago when he worked in this part of town, and he'd always enjoyed the food here. Unfortunately, my roast beef sandwich was not good at all. The beef was stringy and tough, and some of the lettuce was past its prime. What ruined the sandwich though was the baguette. It was really tough and hard - no doubt stale. I couldn't even eat most of it. As it was a to-go order, it wasn't worth driving back to have them remake the sandwich on different bread. The food is always so fresh tasting and delicious. Love their sandwiches! The parking is a little tricky but I love how the restaurant is tucked away. My husband missed the turn twice! I had the egg salad (because it was recommended) and it was delicious. I love the flavors they combine and they put your sandwich in a sack with a delicious cookie. Love the Voodoo potato chips. Every time I go it's always packed. The longest you wait during the rush is about 15 minutes, but if you need a table you might wait longer. Cute little outdoor patio area for nice weather, too. One of my favorite spots to grab a sandwich for lunch! My personal favorite is the Urban Cowboy it's a roast beef with swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato and a horseradish dressing on a baguette. Great sandwiches! Here's why. And also why I feel like an idiot. They are great because Sacks treats them like works of art. Like the slogan. Tons of fresh ingredients. Best rueben around. But I am an idiot because I have lived in the Arcadia area for 2.5 years and forgot there was a Sacks here. I always go to the Phoenix location. When I can. Cause I don't live in central Phoenix. So the last day living in Arcadia, on our actual last day before moving to south Phoenix...I ask google for sandwiches near me. I lost my mind when I realized Sacks has been down the street all this time. Across the street from my dentist. Near wildflower which I frequent often, just across the street. Is there no signage near the street! Have I been too busy looking at all the bright colored neon signs that I missed your artsy building with black lettering that looks more like a beauty salon? The first two times I talked to the owner (who was a woman) and she was apologetic and made it right (which kept me coming back) but the last time I called I asked to speak with the owner and "Lee" said he could help me.
