Family gathering next door for Easter party at Village , post lunch choice close by across the parking lot from Aj s market . Formerly a fox restaurant then bought out by one of the corporate conglomerates, not local although fox originating in Tucson . Sitting elevated on south side with covered patio wrapping around . Inside large dinning area somewhat industrial theme high ceilings .comfortable casual tables and chairs . Fast casual, order & delivered to your table. Healthy looking menu. Salads , wraps , bowls & entrees. Our party had salmon entrees w 2 sides , great chicken Mac & broccoli kids plate, ginger miso crunch salad, & green chili queso ( which thought was soup as right below soup of the day on the electronic menu however was tortilla chips w green chili cheese nacho like dip ) . It fit the bill for our lunch . Friendly efficient service .
Ive always heard good things about Flower child and finally decided to try. Ugh I wish I'd visited sooner!! I got the new Tuna Poke Bowl. Super tasty & flavorful. The flavors together are really good. I wish there was a little more ponzu sauce. I ordered the steak Entree for my daughter. with mac & broccoli. Wow was that good. The mac and cheese was probably the best I've ever had. Steak was really good and cooked perfect. The broccoli was also very yummy, a little too lemony but will def order again. We also tried the lemonade & a carrot cake cupcake. Everything was awesome. The cupcake was very soft and moist. Definitely will be back :)
This location, and the one on 90th St. in Scottsdale, are probably my favorite for consistency. That includes the counter service, the cleanliness and stocked self-serve station of the dining room, the well-staffed kitchen that doesn't seem overwhelmed. I repeated an order that I had once before at a different location and it really is one of my new favorite go-to's. The Rebel on a gluten-free wrap (that doesn't fall apart!!!), beef cooked well done, and I add sliced tomatoes - which I think the recipe definitely needs to counter the richness of that port salut cheese that is so choice! Great lunch again today!
The food here is so tasty and vegetarian friendly! I ordered the tofu with brocolli and cauliflower and have to say the tofu and brocolli were amazing. The taste of the cauliflower wasn't my favorite c but that could just be a personal preference. I'd highly recommend coming here for high-quality, savory food! It was so good I felt like something I would order at a 5-star restaurant. The staff was nice and the store was busy on a Friday night around 7pm. There is a ton of indoor seating which was nice. It's also quite cute inside and has a romantic, rustic vibe. This place seems like a good restaraunt to catch up with your friend(s) or even get dinner alone.
Meh. Nothing special. My proteins were fine but the portion sizes were microscopic. I like the idea of a healthier "fast" restaurant (we have been on the hunt for one similar to a place called Tender Greens in Cali) but this one didn't stack up. My husband thought his food all tasted a little sour (he got the steak plate with broccoli). Glad we tried it because I had been wanting to, but I don't foresee us ever going back again.
Flower Child has become my go-to spot when I want a fairly healthy but substantial meal -- it's delicious and fairly priced, and this location is always lovely to dine in at! I'm a huge fan of getting the entrees with steak here. The steak is always perfectly medium rare -- never overcooked -- which honestly seems like a feat for any place that serves it for under $20 nowadays. The gluten-free mac and cheese is a delightfully creamy side made with a great blend of high quality cheeses. Most sides I've tried are great, but that's my go-to. The kale salad is also fabulous, along with the smashed potato and cauliflower risotto. The inside is always cute and clean too!
What a spot. Came in here for a work lunch off a recommendation from our customer and couldn't have been more happy with the experience. It's a walk up and order spot that turns the food out quickly. The ingredients are awesome and if you're looking for a healthy lunch, this is your place to go. I got the Mother Earth and added chicken and was very happy with the meal. Very tasty and they have an assortment of hot sauces on the side that you can choose from. Big bonus for hot sauce lovers like myself. The inside of the restaurant is super clean and everything is really well put together. Huge fan of this place. Definitely will be a returning customer. Cheers!
Service was about a 20 min wait however the miso sals add blackened shrimp was really flavorful. Healthy food that taste great is a loss art. You order at the counter and wait for your surprise. They have proteins and vegetarian options. The ambiance is very fresh and open. Fix really delivered the green on this one. Only gripe I would have is the small dressings for the salad. Make sure you get 2 because 1 is not enough !
My friend had recommended we eat at one of her favorite places to eat - Flower Child to hangout and catch up. My first time here and it is busy! The line was out the door forming. Good to see a place get so much business, that must mean it is really good! The cashier took my friend and I's order quickly. My friend was redeeming her free birthday dessert - a cookie. Honestly they looked kind of disgusting and burnt on the cookie tray. And it was really off putting to see flies all over the cookies. I love cookies and desserts but I think I would pass on any desserts here. I got the Flying Avacado Wrap and some rose petal lemonade (it was something like that). Delicious! I love a good wrap and I would order it again. Didnt realize they also had sweet potato fries but where I was sitting I could see the food orders come out for workers to take the plates to customers. I would definitely come back to try those and other meal dishes.

God bless Scottsdale for introducing me to this gem of a place. My husband and I immediately felt that we had made the right choice when we walked in and it looked and felt fresh, open, clean, and plant-y! Once our food came in, that suspicion was CONFIRMED! He ordered the entree of shrimp with spicy glazed sweet potatoes and mixed veggies. PHENOMENAL! Fresh, tasty, and filling. I ordered the entree of chicken with the cauliflower risotto and kale salad and let me tell you...OOOOO! Absolutely delicious. We are already making a plan to go to the one in Newport Beach (even though it's over an hour away from our home) to satisfy our future cravings! Highly recommend. It's like they don't care about getting orders right, or putting the "entire" order in a bag. A chopped salad should be that, "chopped"! Not a heart of romaine with hardly any dressing! Stopped in for a quick lunch and went for the Mediterranean chicken kabob. The harissa on the chicken was amazing and balanced perfectly with the freshness of the tomato's and mint. A great choice if you're looking for a quick and healthier meal. read more

Looking for a spot that delivered healthy options this place was unveiled in a search. Beautiful indoor and outdoors seating options. Lots of salad and wrap options. I went for the Italian chopped salad. Romain and arugula was the bed. Add on sun dried tomato, provolone, peperoncini, crispy chicken peas and tomato. Nicely dressed with a Calabrian vinaigrette. Hit the spot. It's an order at the counter and grab a number situation. The food is delivered to your table with a smile. A great option at the right time. Price was very fair. Third branch of Flower Child that I tried in less than a month. I was in the area and since I don't know it well, I looked for what I know, Flower Child! I ordered two dishes, my now usual Chicken Enchilada bowl and the Butternut Squash Lasagna. Restaurant was very busy for a weekday but I was able to find a table quickly and didn't wait too long for my food. The chicken enchilada bowl was delicious as usual. The new dish was the lasagna. It was beyond delicious. It was rich but without being overly heavy. The flavors were excellent, I didn't miss the pasta at all! No wonder it was out last time in Gilbert. It's so good, it is extremely popular. I might not be going to this branch again any time soon but the service was very friendly while we were there. They have a cute little covered patio with heaters if you would like to enjoy some sun and fresh air. Parking might be a slight problem but people who shop at AJ's next door keep coming in and out so it might take a little while to park but not forever. read more

We visit Flower Child a few times a year and I recently placed a to go order for the Peruvian Chicken ( a seasonal offering). I had ordered this once before and it was delicious and had a lot of flavor. So I ordered 2 for our dinner tonight. Unfortunately this time around it was missing some of the best parts, both orders were missing the pickled cucumbers and the grilled lime section to squeeze over the chicken and the rice. Such a bummer as these items really enhance the dish. Also got two of the lemon cakes. These were a little disappointing. They had a rubbery texture although moist and lacked any lemon flavor whatsoever. We order these often when they are available and love them but this time something was definitely off. Not sure if we just got the wrong cakes??? Maybe there is another cake offering w/o lemon . Who knows. But for $40 plus everything should be fresh and as advertised with all the components. This is an excellent dish with a lot of flavor from the chicken rub to the nicely seasoned black beans and carrots with rice. The pickled red onions and the tangy lime/cilantro sauce to accompany the chicken are delicious as well. This time we were just missing the usual cucumbers and lime juice to pull it all together. Both the young man who took my order and the young lady who packed me up were both very nice. Next time I'll check my order before leaving. read more

First time in to this shop- highly recommend viewing the menu before you walk in the first time as it all looks good and was tough to decide. Hubs had the chicken enchilada bowl- he said it was good just a bit grumpy it was served lukewarm. I suggested he ask to have it warmed but he was hungry and ate it anyway. I had the Turkey avocado wrap. It's a simple recipe- avocado spread on the tortilla; then tomato, Turkey and cheese with lettuce and some type of dressing. Flower Child was good, but atrociously overpriced. I got the Mother Earth bowl with steak added, and it was $17. The portion was teeny tiny! I was extremely disappointed. I was still hungry afterwards, so I went elsewhere for tacos, but this felt like one of those ripoffs that's so popular just because the brand has become trendy around town. The tea is a special Fox Restaurant Concepts blend so I don't believe it is something you can get elsewhere.
