    Salmon bowl

Family gathering next door for Easter party at Village , post lunch choice close by across the parking lot from Aj s market . Formerly a fox restaurant then bought out by one of the corporate conglomerates, not local although fox originating in Tucson . Sitting elevated on south side with covered patio wrapping around . Inside large dinning area somewhat industrial theme high ceilings .comfortable casual tables and chairs . Fast casual, order & delivered to your table. Healthy looking menu. Salads , wraps , bowls & entrees. Our party had salmon entrees w 2 sides , great chicken Mac & broccoli kids plate, ginger miso crunch salad, & green chili queso ( which thought was soup as right below soup of the day on the electronic menu however was tortilla chips w green chili cheese nacho like dip ) . It fit the bill for our lunch . Friendly efficient service .

This location, and the one on 90th St. in Scottsdale, are probably my favorite for consistency. That includes the counter service, the cleanliness and stocked self-serve station of the dining room, the well-staffed kitchen that doesn't seem overwhelmed. I repeated an order that I had once before at a different location and it really is one of my new favorite go-to's. The Rebel on a gluten-free wrap (that doesn't fall apart!!!), beef cooked well done, and I add sliced tomatoes - which I think the recipe definitely needs to counter the richness of that port salut cheese that is so choice! Great lunch again today!

The food here is so tasty and vegetarian friendly! I ordered the tofu with brocolli and cauliflower and have to say the tofu and brocolli were amazing. The taste of the cauliflower wasn't my favorite c but that could just be a personal preference. I'd highly recommend coming here for high-quality, savory food! It was so good I felt like something I would order at a 5-star restaurant. The staff was nice and the store was busy on a Friday night around 7pm. There is a ton of indoor seating which was nice. It's also quite cute inside and has a romantic, rustic vibe. This place seems like a good restaraunt to catch up with your friend(s) or even get dinner alone.

Love the food, love the food options, and love the setting. Great music and great service. Very affordable and I love the vegan options.

Meh. Nothing special. My proteins were fine but the portion sizes were microscopic. I like the idea of a healthier "fast" restaurant (we have been on the hunt for one similar to a place called Tender Greens in Cali) but this one didn't stack up. My husband thought his food all tasted a little sour (he got the steak plate with broccoli). Glad we tried it because I had been wanting to, but I don't foresee us ever going back again.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and went for the Mediterranean chicken kabob. The harissa on the chicken was amazing and balanced perfectly with the freshness of the tomato's and mint. A great choice if you're looking for a quick and healthier meal.

Flower Child has become my go-to spot when I want a fairly healthy but substantial meal -- it's delicious and fairly priced, and this location is always lovely to dine in at! I'm a huge fan of getting the entrees with steak here. The steak is always perfectly medium rare -- never overcooked -- which honestly seems like a feat for any place that serves it for under $20 nowadays. The gluten-free mac and cheese is a delightfully creamy side made with a great blend of high quality cheeses. Most sides I've tried are great, but that's my go-to. The kale salad is also fabulous, along with the smashed potato and cauliflower risotto. The inside is always cute and clean too!

What a spot. Came in here for a work lunch off a recommendation from our customer and couldn't have been more happy with the experience. It's a walk up and order spot that turns the food out quickly. The ingredients are awesome and if you're looking for a healthy lunch, this is your place to go. I got the Mother Earth and added chicken and was very happy with the meal. Very tasty and they have an assortment of hot sauces on the side that you can choose from. Big bonus for hot sauce lovers like myself. The inside of the restaurant is super clean and everything is really well put together. Huge fan of this place. Definitely will be a returning customer. Cheers!

Service was about a 20 min wait however the miso sals add blackened shrimp was really flavorful. Healthy food that taste great is a loss art. You order at the counter and wait for your surprise. They have proteins and vegetarian options. The ambiance is very fresh and open. Fix really delivered the green on this one. Only gripe I would have is the small dressings for the salad. Make sure you get 2 because 1 is not enough !

Fast casual. Love the healthy menu options. Servers and workers were super friendly and the prices are very affordable! Food came out at a decent time, and ambiance was cute and whimsical. Love this place because it's perfect for any light lunch meal.

My friend had recommended we eat at one of her favorite places to eat - Flower Child to hangout and catch up. My first time here and it is busy! The line was out the door forming. Good to see a place get so much business, that must mean it is really good! The cashier took my friend and I's order quickly. My friend was redeeming her free birthday dessert - a cookie. Honestly they looked kind of disgusting and burnt on the cookie tray. And it was really off putting to see flies all over the cookies. I love cookies and desserts but I think I would pass on any desserts here. I got the Flying Avacado Wrap and some rose petal lemonade (it was something like that). Delicious! I love a good wrap and I would order it again. Didnt realize they also had sweet potato fries but where I was sitting I could see the food orders come out for workers to take the plates to customers. I would definitely come back to try those and other meal dishes.

This is one of our favorite restaurants, so great for vegans and vegetarians alike! The tofu toppers are amazing, the veggies are so fresh, and the flavors are incredible. Wonderful staff and indoor seating too! Love this place!

Here's the updated version:…read more Tacos Vegonos is hands down the best vegan Mexican spot I've found, and I'm picky! Growing up on San Diego taco shop street food, I have a high bar for Mexican food, and this place hits home in a way nothing else around here does. The selection is unbeatable -- there's literally nothing on the menu that isn't good! I used to eat here one to three times a week. My work schedule changed and now it kills me that I can't get out as often, since they're in central Phoenix and I'm out in far East Gilbert. But trust me -- this place is absolutely worth the drive. The birria is my go-to on anything, and I'll often do a 50/50 split on the nachos or the fries -- both are killer! I remember when they were just a taco truck, and the food was amazing then too. Moving to a brick-and-mortar didn't change a thing -- same incredible quality, same fantastic customer service every single visit. Worth your money and worth the trip, even if you're not vegan! It may not be the healthiest ingredients, but the flavor more than makes up for it. Go taste it for yourself -- you won't regret it! Want me to tweak anything else?

I was glad we got there when we did because shortly after we put our order in there was a line almost to the door. It is counter service so you kind of need to know what you are getting and everything looks so yummy it was super hard to decide. I got the AZ burrito with birria, which is made with jackfruit. It's meant to be like pulled pork. It was huge and very messy. They tortilla was very rubbery but the filling was good and I think there were French fries in there? Maybe that is what makes it an AZ burrito? Overall the flavor was good but it needed something else like beans or guac. It just tasted very one note. Also I got the horchata. It was delicious. My mom got the surf and turf taco. Again the tortilla was tough to eat so she got a fork and a plate and tore into it. This one had the "asada" soy steak and then breaded and fried pieces of cauliflower. The fake meat was not that good. It was too salty and so was the rice. The cauliflower although tasty was so big it was hard to eat. Overall it was good but not as amazing as I had wanted it to be. I likely won't go out of my way to come back.

Parking is valet only, but since I'm not about that life, I found some parking on the street in a residential neighborhood five minutes away on foot. Ambiance (5/5): Definitely one of the areas in which thea shines. While they have both an indoor and outdoor area, I highly recommend sitting outside on the rooftop. If you do, you'll experience scenic views of the mountains in the background. If you can catch a sunset here, even better. Outside of the views, the restaurant has the fresh decor you would expect from a Mediterranean/Greek restaurant. There's also an outdoor area, and an indoor bar area, if you're just looking for drinks. Service (5/5): Attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Exactly what I was hoping for, especially on my birthday. They were kind enough to hook me up with a dessert for my special day. Much appreciated! Drinks (4.5/5): A full bar with a nice wine list and an interesting cocktail menu. I split a bottle of wine with my parents, but also started off with a refreshing cocktail. Food (5/5): I started off with the flaming saganaki because how can you say no to cheese flambeed table side. Dinner with a little entertainment. If you've never had saganaki cheese, it's a delicious Greek cheese. Pair it with some pita bread and you have yourself a delicious app. From there, I had the grilled skirt steak with crushed potatoes. Naturally, I ordered my steak medium rare. The skirt steak was sliced and cooked perfectly. The potatoes were well seasoned and paired nicely with the steak. All in all, a perfect meal. My parents similarly had great things to say about their selections. Thea isn't cheap. And it does have the see and be seen type of vibe which I'm not a big fan of. Yet, despite all of that, it's an excellent dining experience all-around. While it's more of a special occasion type of spot in my book, I'm definitely looking forward to stopping by again sometime!

I wasn't sure how full it was going to be so I made a reservation online for 11:45 am. FYI we did our own self parking outside the garage but we found parking can get validated here. I started off with the pressed juice, Parisian Cure: Carrot, Apple, Cucumber, Ginger, Lemon. It was so good! That is usually my to go to blend of fruits and veggies for a pressed juice. Very natural tasting and perfect. 5/5. You can take these to go which I will in the future. Fair price too compared to other places. My partner has the L'orange martini: Park VS. Apricot Liqueur, Cointreau, Lemon, Orange Oil. He found it strong (but that's the nature of martinis), flavorful and refreshing. He enjoyed it 5/5. Next up we shared the French onion soup and Caesar salad and they were made into our own individual portions. French onion soup wax to die for! By far my favorite onion soup I've had. 5/5 The Caesar salad called the, cacio e Pepe Caesar was simple but perfect. Dressing wasn't too peppery and great in flavor. I was worried about the croutons being more crumbled but it still added the perfect crunch. 5/5 Next up, main dish: steak frites. Amaaaazing! We've been on a mission to look for a yummy steak frites and everywhere we've been we have been disappointed (flavor off, sauce terrible, temperature of meat over or under cooked, steak quality not good, fries unimpressive). HOWEVER that was not the case here! EVERYTHING was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfect. Flavor was simple yet enough. The quality of the steak was good for what it was. Got the classic fries and they were beautifully made with crisp crunchy outside and soft inside. Salty but not too salty fries that hit perfect with every bite. Looooooved! 5/5 I came in with skepticism but left with happy stomach and heart! This place definitely lived up to the hype. Happy we came. I would love to check out the coffee/matcha in the future. I also would love to find back to check out the dinner since we loved it so much. What a great experience. Definitely recommend!

She walked us through the menu and gave us many recommendations on drinks and food. We all listened to her drink options , all getting something different, and they were all fantastic. The matcha espresso and Louis' Martini were my favorites. We ordered the steak tartare, gyoza, short rib skewers, spicy salmon handrolls (we were able to make it 3), and scallops with risotto. Everything was truly incredible. The steak tartare was all of our favorites, and the hand rolls and gyoza , close second. Only thing I'd do differently, is try the chicken thigh skewers over the short rib. I imagine you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. With our whole evening being absolutely perfect, and still talking about it 2 weeks later, we can't wait to go back! We will definitely be asking for Ren as our server ! And reordering some of our favorites and trying some new things I had my eye on. So happy to know a restaurant still has passion and takes pride in a true dining experience.

Had a very nice meal at Beginners Luck in Old Town Scottsdale. I have been looking for a solid go…read moreto place in Old Town for a while. Still mourning the loss of Bandera. Beginners Luck is just that kind of place. Food 4.5/5 - I ordered the Crab and Shrimp Roll with fries. It was excellent and quite a portion. More than enough for a second meal. Loaded with shrimp and crab. I wasn't expecting a crab and shrimp salad but rather a mix of the two warm and buttered in the roll but it was very tasty as served. The only part that was a little off was the burned in brand on the roll the cold salad was served in. The charred flavor with the salad was a little off putting. I just pinched off the burnt bits from the bread. Excellent fries! Service 4/5 - I sat at the bar. Bartender was nice, offered regular menu and restaurant week menu as well. Meal was brought by manager, fries were still piping hot. Bartender and manager checked back to make sure meal was to my liking. Ambiance 5/5 - Cute place. A lot of nice outdoor seating and seating inside but a bit less. All in all a great place with a nice complement of offerings! I will return. If only they had a fly through with rotisserie chicken to go, I would never think of Bandera again.

Cruising along historic Old Town and it was hot, we were tired and needed a reprieve from the heat…read moreso we ducked in to Beginner's Luck. We were seated inside quickly - it was a slow afternoon. Signs on the door let you know they have A/C however they left the front door propped open so it wasn't that cool inside. We each had a cocktail and they were pretty good - him a Painkiller on Main (he said it was good) and I had Ranch Water Paloma but asked them to mix tequila and mezcal rather than have me choose one over the other. Quite tasty! We just did apps: Fondue Blanc served with linguisa, pretzel bread and roasted cauliflower. The fondue was especially delicious with the cauliflower. We also had pimento cheese served with potato chips and chicharrones. I've only ever tasted grocery store made pimento cheese and was not a fan but when I tasted the pimento cheese at Beginner's Luck, I instantly became enamored. Totally enjoyed it with the chips. I recommend stopping in for a bite when wandering Old Town.
