The freshness is still exactly the same. You can smell it the moment you walk in. Everything tastes clean, intentional, and high quality. I ordered my go-to warm bowl with portobello mushrooms always my favorite with miso sesame ginger dressing and pesto. That combo? Elite. The flavors are layered but still light. And the bread... it's this perfect hybrid between wheat and sourdough. You can't get that anywhere else. I ate four slices so much for being "healthy" lol, but zero regrets. Service always delivers. My second time ordering, and unfortunately it was disappointing. I ordered two bowls through Uber Eats for a friend and myself. She ordered the Hot Honey Chicken bowl, but the chicken was missing entirely. She also paid for extra sweet potatoes and did not receive them. I ordered the Steak Honey Crunch bowl. The flavor was good, but the portion of beef was very small and it looked like the meat had been sitting out uncovered for a while. Overall, the portion sizes felt underwhelming considering each bowl cost around $20. I was really hopeful about this place, but after reading other reviews, it seems they may be struggling with consistency and quality. read more

I love that Sweetgreen's is in the valley now! When i lived in the bay area this was a regular spot for me. While the salads are pricey, they are so good! it always looks like a lot of food but somehow i always finish it! the ingredients are always fresh and i just feel good after eating there! i like to order ahead since it can get pretty busy around lunch time and it is always ready to be picked up! My experience at this sweetgreen is hit or miss, but to be fair I only really go at lunch during the work week. I'd say 3/5 times my online orders are on time, and the other times I've probably waited 10-20 minutes for my order. If you're someone that is big on tracking macros their app is very helpful. I recently tried the new wraps and they were awesome but I thought they were a little too saucy, so next time I may ask for a light option. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PLACING AN ONLINE ORDER- ordered to the wrong location despite putting in my cup code twice while ordering. There is no phone number to get In Touch with a real person. If you do call the number on their website it sends you a txt of another number that is a robot not a real person . Then guides you to "email" them. Via email I am informed it's too late to help you with your request. Well of course it is. I went into the physical store to speak with someone who got the manager and they also told me to "email them" This is them not taking any accountability. Welcome to the neighborhood, Sweetgreen! I'm psyched to have this location close to home... I've only been once so far but I was pleased with my custom salad creation and overall experience. I popped in and ordered my salad to go... I was a fan of the hot honey vinaigrette dressing and the fresh ingredient options. Service was friendly enough. East coast transplants, rejoice! The fast casual salad/healthy bowl option has come to AZ. If you're looking for a veggie-forward easy meal, this is a solid choice. It's easy (but not mandatory) to be vegetarian here, or dealing with other dietary restriction. I could've used a little more flavor in my shroomami bowl, which was more kale than I thought it would be, but there's more options I'd try in the future. They have counter service and are great for takeout. They spotlight farmers and where their ingredients are produced in the decor, which was a cute touch. Overall, nice. read more

They just opened 10/28- so I was a customer on day 2- first of the day @10:30 am. Tucked at the corner you can't miss it from the main road . Its location is perfect and strategic .Walked into happy servers , excited to work , very clean , healthy tons of options . I am not new to sweet green I lived in DC where it was originally founded so I kind of have an idea as to what I am walking into. This is not your regular salad place be prepared to spend as much as an entree in terms of price but it's a treat that's definitely worth it . I paid almost $20 for my steak salad but I enjoyed it . I was really excited to try Sweetgreen after hearing so many good things about them coming to AZ, but unfortunately I've been disappointed. My work has catered Sweetgreen a couple of times now, and I haven't enjoyed the salads either time. Since it's been catered, I can't speak to the restaurant's ambiance or cleanliness. The basic Caesar salad dressing isn't good and feels like it's missing something, which is surprising since Caesar is such a classic. I love salads, especially a good Caesar, so this was a letdown. The chicken was also oddly cut and could definitely be sliced smaller. If Sweetgreen is catered again, I'll pass next time. read more

Cleanliness should be #1 priority in any food establishment. Sadly, this location does not believe it should be a requirement. Speaking with an assistant manager about several very visible hand prints on the front door, I suggested it should be part of an hourly/daily cleaning routine. The reply was "lots of people use that door, it gets dirty". (I neglected to add nobody was cleaning left over food residue from the tables either). First time trying Sweet Green. I wish I snapped a photo of my plate so that everyone could see the insult of a portion I received of steak (an additional $6 btw.) I paid over $30 for small portions for two people, which sounds like a great deal, until you see how a quarter of my plate was a vast emptiness of missing pieces of steak that were never scooped. I will say that the food was delicious, so delicious as a matter of fact, that I almost felt bad complaining about the portion size. The food tastes fresh, it tastes flavorful and the different ingredients they offer made customizing my bowl a decent experience. I like to experiment with my dishes and I definitely didn't hold back. The ambiance was nice, it's open space and they have a patio that was shaded and is pleasant to sit at, provided the weather behaves. The service was mediocre to be honest...the lady assisting us saw my visible frustration at the half scoop of steak I received and uttered "sorry" three times instead of offering to scoop a little more. Overall I would definitely revisit this place just to see if maybe my first experience was a one-off. I'm not the type to complain to customer service departments, but I felt almost disrespected by the service and the portion. Customer service was kind enough to provide a credit back to me to use for a second trip to the restaurant. The taste was what kept my mind open to going back. This place is horrible. I walked in tonight with my older parents and immediately our eyes started stinging and watering. The temperature inside was hot and muggy with no AC going. It was a hot day in Phoenix today and the AC should be on. We asked why our eyes were watering and staff snidely commented they were cutting 60 lbs of onions in the open kitchen. The service is beyond slow and there aren't enough people to make salads for everyone in line. None of the sides toppings and add-ons had labels so we didn't even know what our options were and how many items we were allowed on our salads. The staff was snarky rude and very unhelpful. It was so loud in there I couldn't even hear what the server was saying. The tables were dirty and seats are very uncomfortable metal. We sat outside to get away from the burning stinging smell from the onions. The value between what we got and how much it cost was ridiculous. We will never go in here again. We got there mid day and it is the wrong time to go. The staff was friendly and welcomed us. But when we got to the counter where all the warm and cold foods are kept was not impressive. The salad basics, Arugula, and the others were looking tired and not appealing. Nothing was replaced to make it look fresh and that included the carbs like the rice, etc. I did order the sweet potatoes because I didn't want to embarrass my guest. I asked for the cauliflower and when lifted the lid it was at the bottom and sitting awhile. I asked for fresh. The employees are young and don't think much of serving old food. Experience makes a difference and the neighborhood you are serving. My friend ordered salmon of which the staff had to get fresh but the rice was sitting there. She had a few other things. Her comment when we finished was she won't go back. It is hard as I had a cooking business in the Bay Area years ago, what might be acceptable for others is. Not for me. The cleanliness is another. It was dirty around the surfaces of the food covers. They need a Supervisor that travels around each one, write up a report but retrain and follow up. If it continues then your manager has an issue.
