Dr. Chandler and Jennifer are two of the most compassionate people that I've come across in the veterinary field. True angels on Earth. I scheduled a hospice consult for my sweet 13 year old lab and received a quick response with a call from Jennifer. Even though I never met Jennifer, I felt like she was holding my hand during the whole process. When it was time for our hospice consult, Dr. Chandler came to our house and assessed our boy along with going over quality of life. She even gave him a treatment before she left to see if it would help his mobility. After the consult, I received a very thorough email from Dr. Chandler giving me a breakdown of my dog's prognosis along with some treatment options. She reached out to other mobile vets on my behalf and provided helpful links for every option of care that she gave me. Jennifer also followed up to check on Oakley to see how he was doing. When it was time to make the decision for me to let him go, I texted Dr. Chandler (after hours on her day off). She still responded. She came out a couple days later to our home and we were able to give him a peaceful goodbye on our lawn, which was his favorite place. Dr. Chandler treated Oakley with such care and dignity from start to finish. Jennifer also called me again to check on my wellbeing a week after we said goodbye. Dr. Chandler reached out to me on a Saturday to let me know she had Oakley. He was ready to return home. She worked with us on getting him back and even went as far as matching the tissue paper to the color of his fur for the packaging. She also included a beautiful dog card along with his name which was handwritten. It lays against the paw print and clipping of his hair she gave us. Omg. We never we realized we could havr someone come to the house and our kitty never wouldn't gone to the vet. So after some research and heavy sad discussions, we found Kelly and Love Always. You're a mess because you are dealing with the worst thing you absolutely don't want to do....but? She made it so amazing. We wouldn't have changed a thing. Kelly was actually available to come earlier than expected ( as we unfortunately needed her to ). She was calm, sweet, patient and soothing. She was so loving with our helping our 19 year old kitty Jet go to her final sleeping place. Every question answered, everything already thought of. She gave us the option to leave her with us, take her/cremate and return, or cremate and have her hang with other amazing pets. We received follow up texts and emails and then finally got this card where the majority of my tears finally came. Dr. Kelly Chandler is the perfect person for something like this. Our fur baby Bentley lost both bag legs 3 days after Christmas and couldn't walk. The Saturday the morning of December 28th we called Dr. Kelly and she made time to come to our home and help us in saying goodbye to our boy. I haven't been able to write about it without drowning my keyboard in tears until now......... Bentley knew! We chose Dr. Kelly Chandler as our "hospice vet" when our beloved chocolate lab Abby was nearing the end of her life. She and her nurse, Jennifer, replied quickly and sympathetically to our need for someone to help us through the very difficult decision of when to euthanize our beloved pet. Dr. Chandler soon made a home visit and assessed Abby as near the end of her life. She made astute observations and discussed our family members' "Quality of Life" Assessments to help determine each person's viewpoints and readiness to proceed to euthanasia. She delicately responded to each of us. She offered various treatments to support Abby. We received a three-page, typewritten summary of her visit and recommendations the very next day. She kept in touch via telephone throughout our period of indecision. Thankfully, when the time arrived, Dr. Chandler was able to rearrange her schedule to come back and provide a peaceful passing for our girl. I had spoken with our primary vet, and she recommended Dr. Kelly Chandler as an option to allow our boy Gambit to pass peacefully at home since it was clear we were just delaying the inevitable and our poor boy was beginning to struggle. The day I made the call to Dr. Chandler, I wasn't ready to make that call, but it was clear that if I didn't our beautiful boy likely wouldn't survive the night and likely would've passed painfully due to the severe and rapid buildup of fluid around his heart and lungs. Dr. Chandler came that same evening, and was very compassionate and great to our boy, despite the fact we were a mess. Our boy was at home, where he was happy and content. He didn't need to fear the drive to the vet, and was comfortable to the best of his ability and was surrounded by the people he loved. She made a print of his paw on the spot, and gave us a clipping of his fur as well. 12 days later, Dr. Chandler hand delivered his ashes in a beautifully crafted cedar urn engraved with his name, and a slot for his picture from Koefran. I can't say enough positive words about Dr. Chandler. When I unexpectedly had to make that dreaded decision of "is now the time" to put my beloved dog Cosmo down, I frantically started making calls. After leaving unreplied messages with many veterinarians that provide in-home pet euthasia, finding that some were out of town, others had no appointments for at least a week, I got a call back from Dr. Kelly Chandler, less than an hour after leaving her a message. She was empathetic on the phone and said she could come the very next afternoon as she had an appointment in my area. Dr. Chandler's communication about her ETA, and her willingness to stall her arrival a bit to give me a little more time with my boy showed so much respect and understanding. Upon arrival, she greeted me and Cosmo, giving him a few treats to win him over. She explained everything that she was going to do and what to expect. After sedating him to make him comfortable and sleepy, she made sure he wouldn't feel anything when the final injection was administered. She gently let me know when he had moved on and offered me and my family to spend some more time saying our goodbyes. She even did a perfect paw imprint.
