Restaurant has a great nostalgic diner feel. The server was friendly, and knowledgeable. The coffee is what you would expect on a basic diner. I was hoping for a robust coffee full of flavor but settled for a "Folgers" type experience. The food was decent but seemed to be lacking something. We compared what was on the plate to the menu and it just seems that the quantity for their sauces was sparse. My hash browns were still a little raw in sections and my sliders were lacking; I should have added an egg for extra protein. Worth a stop in if diner type breakfast is your go to. If you're looking for a healthier option, this is not ideal.

Walking in loved the nostalgic diner feel with a modern twist. We were very excited about the menu options but settled on the Derby Brown and the Sliders. Hash browns were very good, crispy and generously seasoned. The turkey on the Derby Brown was thick cut but cooked a hair too long. The bread was basic and a simple substitution of their in house biscuits would have elevated the dish. The tomato bacon chutney was delicious and I wish they had added it to the sliders as well! The meat in the sliders; chicken and goetta, were both a bit overcooked so the overall slider was a little dry. But my husband and I both agreed that we would go back and make the slight modifications mentioned to truly enjoy what this restaurant had to offer.

Ordered the sliders- 1 chicken thigh slider and 1 house made sausage slider- Wow that sausage was amazing- Buttermilk Biscuits cooked to perfection and the bacon on the sliders was top-notch- Potatoes are pretty basic- The drinks are kinda high price- a specialty drink costs as much as the breakfast- so recommend skipping an alcohol beverage-as they are not very special- Service was attentive and you can pay on your phone - The diner is cozy-

I came here with my BFF, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and after our waitress cleaned a booth we sat down. We looked the menu over and ordered coffee then our meal. The place was clean and even the bathrooms although very small were clean as well. We watched as our food sat under the heat lamp for a bit and when it did make it to our table, it may have been slightly cool. The food was still very good. With that said I was never offered a refill on my coffee. Am I complaining, not really more of a if you come here I would ensure if you need something ask. I would still come back.

My BFF and I stopped in after a Yelp event while we were still in Covington. It was very busy and we took the last available table. The food was really good but sat under a warming light too long and came out just warm. The service was meh. Our wait person took our order and had no further contact with us until she brought the bill. The hardest working person was the older woman who sat us, brought our menus and brought our food out to us. She was very friendly. I will say again the food was good and there was a lot to choose from on the menu. It was almost $50 (before tip!) for 2 people having brunch and that seems too expensive to fight Covington traffic to go back.

Bottom line...GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE! We went on a Wednesday after the lunch rush so we got a nice booth and our waiter (sorry didn't get his name) was super friendly and answered all of our questions. Was in the mood for a Smash Burger and it didn't disappoint. My wife had sliders and were extremely good. The menu is not HUGE but there is something there for everyone.

Cute little place! Great service and great food. I got the biscuit bowl which was biscuits and gravy plus an egg. Very good gravy. Only complaint is that the booths are quite uncomfortable

Myself and my aunt arrived 5min after opening on a Saturday and we were addressed right away. Very friendly & quick service, place looked clean with very fun diner-esc decorations. And wow- probably the best chicken & biscuit combo I've ever tasted! The sweet and salty balance is perfection- don't fear the apple syrup! I will definitely be returning to try more. Maybe I overlooked it on the menu- but I wish there were more specialty coffee options! There is street parking but we opted for a nearby paid public lot and enjoyed the short walk to the diner.

As soon as you walk in, you're welcomed by the entire staff. There was no wait today so we were able to sit right down and instantly take your drink order. The menu itself is straight forward and the waitress was willing to give her recommendations. Ended up going with the biscuit bowl which was an amazing rendition of biscuits and gravy and to accompany the savory, I ordered the berry French toast. The food, in general was INCREDIBLE. The overall vibe of the place is super nice as well. Real lowkey and chill. Everyone was amazing and again the food was a home run!

Adorable cafe that serves breakfast and lunch (and cocktails). I found on Yelp and we were seated right away. I was also given a yellow rose. Apparently all the female customers are given them. We started with coffee in large mugs, and I was given a little pot of creamer. We each got the Bluegrass omelette, served on top of sourdough bread and with Havarti sauce on top. Delish. Boyf also got 2 pancakes and I tasted. They are thin, almost like crepes. Again, deilsh. The cranberry/vodka cocktail was very good. Service was exellent. We would def come back when in the area again.

We really enjoyed eating here. The waiter was terrific. My daughter and I both had the Pike Street Hash, it was delicious and the remoulade that topped it was a wonderful addition. The place is very clean. I highly recommend it when in Covington.

Despite having such a large group, drinks were out fast and there was plenty of seating. 2 things stick out here: Decor and the Drinks. Both were impeccably done. The nature meets wood and brick aesthetic is so purposefully laid out and when the eye cruises across the landscape it's so satisfying!! We had a LOT of drinks, but the jade river, el toro rojo, and pacific muse were our favorites. The drinks are priced pretty well ($12-$14) and the service was very prompt, always cleaning up empty glasses and clearing space for more people to sit. I for SURE recommend this place as a spot to come and throw a couple rounds back. We stayed for hours and drank and talked our hearts out! Thank you for such a wonderful night. 5 stars.

My absolute favorite thing I've had here (and one of the best drinks I've ever had period) is their S'mores Espresso Martini! I came out in December for their Miracle pop-up in 2025…read more As someone who has gone to a ton of holiday cocktail bars and pop-ups over the last 10 years, Overlook Lodge's is probably the best I've ever been to. Be aware it will be FAST. Look at the order ahead of time if you're a picky eater/drinker. They run your appointment like clockwork, and you'll be in-and-out, gulping down cocktails, through the entire experience. Your two drinks are included (this year, anyway), and I'd honestly be surprised if you managed to have time for a third. Time zips by fast. That being said, because they do it this way, you essentially have constant service, there's "events" that happen at the end of your reservation time, (I don't want to spoil it, but cover your drink!), and then they kick you out. Service was friendly, though, and I saw the server make time to take group photos for all of the tables (including ours) with someone at the table's camera. (No bullshit "group photo" upsells here) It's kinda loud, though, and I wouldn't recommend this as a chill meet-up-and-socialize spot. (If you wanna talk, they have an addendum, Christmas-themed laid-back bar next door.) It's more of a "get blasted in the face by Christmas for an hour and then leave" experience. It's pretty loud, and talking can be a bit difficult over the music and constant interruptions (more drinks? Photos? Cute Christmas video montage?) But this works in its favor as it feels the most Christmas, over-the-top, and seasonal out of all the holiday bars I've ever been to. It also keeps it from feeling too crowded as reservations are required, so you for-sure have a seat and you don't have to stand forever in line to wait for drinks. I'd probably guesstimate that bar staff is making all of their seasonal drinks, constantly, and servers just pick one up to deliver. With the capacity in here, it would make sense. No idea what the bar is like the rest of the year; this is just a review for the Miracle pop-up which, again, is probably the best I've been to in the Midwest. Cincinnati, you're spoiled down here. (Sidenote, I was absolutely taken aback by their TV presentation on the wall. It's hard to describe, but it isn't just a projector showing a giant rectangle. It's specifically slotted into the holes in-between holiday decorations. Staff told me that had to hire special technicians to get it to show up that way and that's seriously a level of detail I am so amazed by.)
