We ordered a sadaf combination #2 and added the salmon kabob dinner but served family style with hummus, eggplant delight, and panir sabzi as appetizers. Perfect. Succulent. All super damn delicious. Seriously. Not only was the food memorable, the service was super quick and attentive. I had a Diet Coke refilled from a carafe without a request! Absolutely fantastic food and very accommodating! I contacted this restaurant days prior to coming make sure they could accommodate my random allergy. They told me to call the day of and let them know what time I was planning on coming so they could make sure to set aside a chicken breast for me with no seasoning. Tonight we came here for my mom's birthday. Boy was this delicious food! Beyond flavorful even without the pepper. Got some delicious chicken kabobs with basmati and saffron rice, green peppers and red juicy char-broiled tomatoes. And for dessert, Amazing pistachio Rose Persian ice cream what a treat! Drop everything you are doing people and get over here! The favorite Persian spot over in Encino/Los Angeles is now in THOUSAND OAKS, YALL! And you can trust that the recipes didn't get lost in translation. I was worried...but nope. The Koobideh is still all succulent and juicy and the rice is still packed with flavor and all the good stuff. All the dill. All the cherries. All the everything. That's one thing I've always loved about Sadaf...they don't shortchange you on the rice and all the things that they put into it. The rice is perfect!...in addition to the meat! I don't know what they do, really, to make a juicy kabob like that, but it's somehow always tender and juicy, never dry. Hell, I even like the lavash/side bread better here than in LA. This is my new #1 spot for Persian food in Thousand Oaks. They have the most moist chicken dishes, absolutely flavorful beef dishes I have tried. My go to is the Kolbeh combo and also the one with filet mignon cuts. Start it off with shrimp and mushrooms appetizer, w-o-w. They keep a spice shaker of this ruby red ground spice called Sumac that you can sprinkle on meal dishes they serve and it hits another level. Dont forget to ask for the white sauce. It is another crack sauce I've discovered that goes great on chicken, beef, lamb, salad, seafood, and potatoes! It is a little tangy, a little sweet, has dill, i keep forgetting to ask the name, but it's called the white sauce. If you have a craving for persian food, come to this amazing place. Ample seating inside and outside, disabled ramps all the way to dining areas, always bustling at dinners, great for family, enough space for wheelchairs, staff is very accommodating.
