Habib is one of the most professional individuals I have met. He has obviously been doing electrical and repair work for many years, but still has enthusiasm and energy like you wouldn't believe. I needed to replace an old style bathroom exhaust fan with a newer quieter model. I had called around to several electricians in my area, I made an appointment for home depot to come out, and all of them had doubts about being able to replace this fan without a ton of Sheetrock work and a very high hourly rate. Most of them said it would be several weeks before they could see me. Finally I found Safe Electric. I called on a Wednesday, and Habib said he would try and get there for Friday evening as he had a job close. We ended up having to reschedule for the following Thursday as the other job ran long, but this was still two weeks better than his nearest competitor that would agree to do the job at all. He showed up as agreed at 8:15 Thursday morning and proceeded to inspect my fans and began work. He was finished with replacing the unit, spackling a few holes I had around the house and fixing a wiring job that I had been wired incorrectly by another electrician. He did all of this for the originally agreed upon price. He swept and cleaned up everything to better than expected condition. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and offered many suggestions that made a lot of sense. My only downside was that he does not have the ability to accept credit cards at this time. I was having problems with my power fluctuations when I turned on appliances... lights would dim, my furnace's electric starter stopped working and surge protectors would switch off. Actually, two surge protectors had burned out. I called Habib and he happened to be in the area so he came by. He immediately gave me an estimate to troubleshoot the problem. He checked everything to eliminate the possibility the issue was inside the house, determined the issue was actually with PG&E, and called them for me to get them to come out and fix the issue. In fact, he called them twice for me when the first PGE agent on the phone refused to accept that having surge protectors burn out wasn't an emergency. Once we got them to agree to send someone out, he checked out my furnace and determined my transformer had blown out because of the electrical problem from PG&E. He replaced the transformer, we confirmed the furnace worked, but then shut it off so it didn't blow out again. He also checked my oven, which wasn't working properly, and suggested I do nothing with it until after PG&E fixed the problem because he thought my oven issue was related to the bad power. When he was done, he left but told me to send him an update via text about PG&E and told me to minimize my use of electricity while I waited. The PGE technician showed up at noon and figured out by 1pm that the problem was indeed on their side, but they needed to send out a crew because it was between the junction at the street ( underground) and my house. In the meantime, they shut off power to my house as a precautionary measure. I texted this to Habib and he texted me back, asking me to keep him informed. When the PGE crew didn't show up by 4pm and it wasn't clear if they were coming at all, he texted me a work around they could do for me IF they couldn't get a crew out to fix the problem properly. The PGE crew finally showed up at 7pm and my power was back on by 9pm. I sent a note to Habib once it was back on and he confirmed that he saw my note the next morning. Bottom line: Habib was awesome. He was fast, professional, wore a mask and took care of my electrical and all of the related problems at a fair price. THANKS HABIB! read more

I called Safe Electric the morning of a holiday. Habib took my call and spoke to me for about 5-7 mins going over my options and his availability. When I told him I had no power, he told me he was just finishing a job nearby and would see if he could drop by my house afterwards but before his next job. He was able to accommodate me within 45 mins of my call. About 1.5 hrs later the power was back on. What I really liked is that Habib took the time to explain what he was doing. He would pause and call me over to make sure I understood what components he was replacing and what my responsibility was after he left. I was having an issue with my kitchen lights not turning on. I went to the sub panel and heard a cracking noise coming from the panel. I turned off the power to the house and started to look up electricians. I called 3 but they were closed since it was after hours. I looked up electricians that were available 24 hours and started calling them. Safe Electric was closed at the time but the only call back that I received in 24 hours was from Habib.
