We were able to check out comparable 16 footer trucks prior to the rental, which definitely helped map out how we were going to pack the truck. The rental did start a little late as the truck was still in transit to the location but when it did arrive, we got essentially a new truck with less than 100 miles on the odometer, which was super ideal. Bernard also comped a hand truck to help with the move, so that was definitely appreciated! During the trip, noticed that SirrusXM was also included, which made a 36+ hour drive so much easier not having to search for nearby radio stations across the states. This truck also had two USB ports, two cigarette plugs, a standard electrical plug and a rocking AC. The captain chairs are still somewhat uncomfortable and don't recline very much but hey, these trucks aren't built for comfort,.... PS Bernard is definitely skilled with parking trucks. Watching him park a 25+footer, I swear I thought for sure he was going to side swipe the porch to the office trailer but he made it, with no more than 2 inches to spare. I'd trust this guy to park anything with more than 4 wheels.

He was acutely rude and kept pointing out that I was unfamiliar with the U-Haul process (which I haven't used before). Linda gave us directions on how to get there. Once there, she helped me rent a car, secure a temp EZ Pass and insurance, within record time, in order for me to get to work. On top of that, I left my Better Brella umbrella at the office. Linda called me and assured me that she would hold it for me (which she did, until my rental was over). That was before even trying to find a parking spot. NO SIGN! Why?? The address is also incorrect. He moved the location a block away frm where it used to be. Had to ask some people that lived on the street where it was. His U-Haul sign and office is still in the old location... WTF?! 2) It's in a residential area so either side of the street has cleaning on different days 4 days of the week! Imagine trying to park a 15ft truck on a residential street where parking spaces are limited... I was never going to park somewhere only to get a ticket next day. I ended up parking in front of a garage. I had no choice as U-Haul would not change the drop off location. It sucked. U-Haul generally sucks, but this place wins the award for one of the worst locations. Useless. Useless. Useless. Don't waste your time. Best U-Haul spot is on 4th Ave Park Slope. Go there. I needed the van asap, so I had to deal with it. I used it for exactly 28 miles roundrip, and when I returned it, I filled it back up for 7.6 gallons. That is 3.6 miles per gallon! I brought this to the locations attention, they just brushed it off. It's unacceptable. I got ripped off for a badly maintained U-Haul truck. I have all of the receipts as well. I wish U-Haul does something about this location.
