I came down here to replace a windshield that developed a crack on the left side from a flying pebble while I was driving down the Seward Highway a few months back before the snow hit. This location is at the Aurora Village Center next to Carrs on W. Northern Lights Blvd. opposite the Panda Express. The windshield crack was gradually growing as the weather got colder. I decided not to take chance and set up an appointment to replace it using my car insurance. I had around $1100.00 for my deductible which brought the replacement cost down to $486.00. I'm not a fan of vehicle repair costs, but this was something that needed to be done especially with the brutal winter weather we have been experiencing. The employee at the front desk was very friendly and professional. He quoted me a wait time of 45 minutes to an hour. I opted to stay in their waiting area by the front and honestly it didn't feel long. It appeared all of the employees brought their families in today for a company potluck. The mood from everyone was happy and festive with a lot of the children's employees running around and having a fun time. I enjoyed my surroundings and the front desk employee was generous enough to offer some fresh-baked cookies laid out on a tray after the potluck was done. I was appreciative and grateful for the family-friendly atmosphere. It felt very comfortable and relaxing while waiting. The technicians working on my windshield did a great job and I was able to watch them do their work from a large window looking into the repair shop. The completed work took less than an hour and they drove it up to the entrance next to where I was sitting and said I was good to go. The employee at the front desk advised me not to wash the car for a couple of days for the windshield to settle in securely. So thankful to have a great experience to start off the new year. read more

Nice front staff but overall believe that the quality and skill of the technicians is quite poor. Also typical corporate bologna with failure to recognize poor work and terms of the warranty. I had my windshield replaced after a chip and crack. 3 weeks after replacement, no new chips or trauma, and the first cold snap and the glass cracked along the entire length of the bottom seal. They claim it was caused by impact stroke with no means of recompense. Hooray "corporate America" and "high quality" work. Would never go here again. Take your claims elsewhere if able. read more

Customer service person, ACTUALLY they were ordered and new ones were put on. The ISSUE, Is that whoever did my windshield the first time, ONLY took my word that the scratching was caused by glass shards. That was MY ASSESSMENT, Because of the multiple cracks and chips. The issue was a lack of thoroughness, and checking the wipers and wiper arms the 1ST TIME. And this would have been prevented. The best thing this company could do is: take responsibility, eat the cost, and add it to the training/ check list. THATS how you keep customers. read more

I always hate to have to leave a negative review, but unfortunately my experience (or lack of experience) with Safelite I fear warrants one. Back in late January, somebody shattered my passenger side window in an attempt to break into my car. My insurance is partnered with Safelite so I called them to arrange getting it fixed, scheduled an appointment, no issues there. Immediately I got a call from somebody telling me they would need to order my window, and rescheduled my appointment for when she said my window would be here. The night before my appointment I get a notification that Safelite has cancelled my appointment, with no information as to why. I tried calling, to no success, and finally had to call the national number to reach someone for information, as apparently the local stores don't have phone lines accessible to the public (which I find insane, why am I having to go through a middle man to have them ask you about my car?). After calling and sitting on hold with the national line multiple times, I finally got a half answer from someone- they had gotten my window, but it had arrived damaged, so they would have to reorder it. Ok, great, but when were you going to tell ME that? I was told it would be another week to two weeks, but that they would make sure my window was ordered and ready. Flash forward three weeks, no contact, no updates, nothing. I called the national line again, and was told that they may not have even ordered my window, and that if they had, nobody had checked the order status since placing it, so they had no clue where it was. I was told the parts warehouse manager would call me that same day, to figure out what the issue was getting the single piece of glass for my car. Guess who I'm still waiting to hear from? I have an appointment now elsewhere to get my car fixed, after dealing with horrible communication and vague info for 2 months at this point. The two stars I'm giving are ONLY because the customer care team I spoke to over the phone was very apologetic and kind. read more

Safelite billed me twice for the same service and when I tried to call the local number, I cannot reach a real person. The automated answering machine does not have an option to speak with a representative or local person. This is a very frustrating and poor business practice. Unfortunately, my auto insurance uses Safelite for all glass claims. read more

Best service I've ever received for anything car-related. And some of the best service I've ever received. In Alaska, having a busted-ass windshield starts as a right-of-passage, and then quickly becomes a way of life. There is just too much damn gravel up here! Gravel on the roads to act like a crampon for your tires in the winter, then long gravel roads to get to remote Alaska destinations in the summer! I've been driving with a monster crack for well over a year. I dread the price to get it replaced, I dreaded getting it replaced and immediately getting blasted with gravel again. Finally I bit the bullet. I priced it out on Safelite's website and...it was almost a THOUSAND dollars. :( This was without insurance, because I was I pretty sure my insurance wouldn't cover the windshield outside of the standard $500 deductible. Why file a claim to pay $500 anyway? But, upon seeing nearing 1k, I figured, "Why not?" I went to my insurance website and...it was only going to set me back $50, and Safelite was going to come to my work and do the job? What?! I have Geico, and I had no idea my policy included this. I suggest you check yours. Hell, it might be worth factoring in windshield coverage next time you're shopping for insurance! I scheduled an appointment through Geico, and Safeway contacted me soon after. I couldn't get an appointment for a few weeks but, they told me the windshield should be there on Monday and to give them a call and see if they can move the appointment up. I did, and they did! Their communication was strong and effortless. I got a text message (complete with photo) when my tech, Kyle, was on his way. Kyle showed up and was super friendly and explained everything well. In a few hours, I had a brand-new windshield! The whole process was frictionless and easy, I was bowled over. Now I can finally get back to being anxious for when the next gravel-missile is going to detonate on my brand new windshield! Thank you Safelite and thank you Kyle! (oh, and Geico too!) read more

The first replacement windshield was warped. When I took it in to have the windshield fixed, they broke my mirror cover, which now dangles from the ceiling and impacts visibility. When I asked them to fix the cover, they glued it rather than replacing it causing further damage to it. I have now been dealing with this problem for over 2 months. They claimed to order the part, but it disappeared and there has been zero communication. Clearly disinterested in fixing a problem that they created. The automated phone system never leads to the store or a real person, which means I have to go in person every time only for them to have no solution. Shop local instead. read more

Service Technician David 6591-927 opened my hood and did not close it all the way- it was barely latched. It could have caused an accident. I had to pull over on the highway to close it. This same technician got greasy handprints and black dust all over the dash and did not clean it up. Do not recommend. read more

I advise anyone to take photos of your vehicle before dropping it off to this store, their quality of work is questionable. The hood of my car was absolutely fine as you can tell from the photos; when I pick it up - I noticed that the hood of my car was no longer sitting right and there was a dent on the hood that were not there before. They refused to acknowledge that it was their doing and that the damage was there beforehand, and it wasn't. Stay clear from this place. read more

Any time I have used them the ability to reach someone is incredibly inconsistent. If you call the listed numbers(they look local) it redirects you to a dysfunctional corporate robo answering service that will ultimately hang up on you........going with the local guy that picks up the phone and communicates. Henry was my technician and I have to say that he was ten star all they way!. He kept in contact with me before he came, I was lat4e in getting up as the schedule was at 8-12. He was Johnny on the spot at 8, but let me get up and make myself a cup of coffee before he showed up. He said that it would take about an hour and a half to complete the job. He changed out the windshield on a Dodge Ram 1500. It was a perfect job. No leaks and he took care of it as if it were his own. I used to run a windshield shop when I was younger. Would have loved to have Henry as an employee. If you are thinking about getting any autoglass changed, I suggest going with Safelite. Maybe you will be as lucky as I was and get Henry. read more

Brought in my sons Toyota FJ Cruiser because had a door accident and busted the door glass. There was a dent on the door and had technician take a look at the door to make sure that the window glass will not be affected. He confirmed after looking at it and gave I them the permission to proceed. Very friendly girl on the phone and at the shop assured us that if technician thought there would be an issue he would definitely recommend not putting the glass in. Had the unit installed and after a couple of days, then next thing the glass shattered during a cold spell. I has my son take it back to the shop they I called told the girl that their technician said it was ok, but looks like the door dent interfered with the glass. She agreed but said she would have to check with technician and that it should be under warranty. She called me back and said that they wouldn't be able to warranty the glass because the door dent needs fixing. I asked her if I took the door to get it fixed would they cover the warranty for a new glass? She said unfortunately no and recommended some dent repair company. I asked to speak with manager. I explained to the manager the situation again. He said he was sorry but that they couldn't warranty it because of the dent in the door. But I said I wouldn't have done the glass if his technician wouldn't have said that it was ok. Then I said if I took it and get the door fixed or I pound out the door and bring it back would they warranty the glass? He said no. Yeah, so about that earlier review...sure, the service as prompt and did a good job. Billing department sucks! Called 800 number to pay my invoice. it was for 49.95 for fixing the chip. Cool, only to find out it actually cost me 461.89. Yes, they charged my card 461.89. Been on phone with billing and credit department for 2 fricken days now trying to get that credited back to my account. In the mean time, all my ACH payment went though and I have little to nothing until I get paid next week. So I came here to have a chip repaired after stupid Cascade Auto Glass tech guy denied me service based on his line of sight b.s. I called and had a reservation in no time. Drove over and my car was promptly pulled into the bay. The guy helping me described the process thoroughly and addressed any issues. The chip is gone with the barest trace of a crack. They fill the crack with gel and pressurize it. 100% guarantee, and if the crack spreads the $60 fix will go towards a windshield replacement. Now get this, they even vaccuumed the front seat, and gave me window cleaner with paper towels as a parting gift. Holla! So I will tell all my friends how awesome this place is and how crappy Cascade is. Big day! read more

I work at Providence so I thought he might have trouble finding me, but he did not. It just just shy of 90 minutes. He called me when he was done. Went and had a windshield installed on my 67 ford truck. It's a particularly difficult window to install. Joe the manager had no issue taking on the challenge. I left the shop and it ended up leaking water. I took it back a week later and he literally dropped what he was doing to fix it right away.
