I had a cracked windshield that needed replaced. When I called they got me in right away. My appt was for 3pm and my car got done by 4:30pm. They were fast and very informative and helpful throughout the whole process. The tech that worked on it was very nice and you can tell he was expereinced in what he does. His name is Justin Woods. If you have an issue with your service, you are TOTALLY SCREWED! We are now heading into the 4th week of something that should've been so easy, but yet here I am with defective glass and still waiting for a call back that's never coming. They put defective glass in my vehicle, attempted to put even more warped glass in the 2nd time and I still cannot get a refund for a service they clearly cannot complete. I have called, chatted, and emailed repeatedly through every avenue I can come up with - they will not call you back! they will flat out lie in emails stating "I've left you a voicemail", but there is nothing missed on your phone. I have asked REPEATEDLY in all of the above forms to be refunded. I have asked repeatedly to see written documentation on the refund policy and have been told it doesn't exist. please explain to me why I am required to sign a release for a refund when you cannot provide any documentation stating that that is your "policy". If ANYBODY within Safelite corporation could provide this written document, we could move forward. after repeated attempts to get this documentation and the fact no one can provide it, I just need my money back and we can move on from this. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN We received terrible service sawmill store. Took Audi Q8 for windshield replacement They previously ( 1 week ago) filled in a chip and the result looked horrible so we decided to change the windshield entirely. They knew make model type of car etc there were no surprises They installed windshield but could not get it calibrated it correctly. They told us they needed either a new part or new( another) windshield. They Would not be able to install for another 6 to 7 days. The part had to be ordered The manager didn't seem to care and after pushing her on issue telling we needed the car to be ready for a long trip, the said she may be able to get the needed part by tomorrow but could not guarantee it.( part getting here or having it installed on time) we need the car tomorrow Thursday since were going out of town. Was told car is drivable its just has no sensors. I find that it is not an acceptable solution. I tried calling the store 10 plus times and could not get any answer. Could not leave message system kept disconnecting. Called the 1800 number and they Also could not reach store . I filed formal complaint against manager. She also promised me to Email me names and addresses of her district manager this was not done. We drove to the store directly only to find manager casually talking to the mechanics and laughing socializing etc. and not doing her job. We were able to talk to her finally and we took our car to the Audi Dealer to have the correct windshield placed. TERRIBLE SERVICE TERRIBLE ATTITUTE WOULD NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN. It sucks that I have to even give them 1 star to leave a review. They removed my $45 discount promo that they emailed me, and said it is not their fault, so they will not honor it. The repair was completed today, and it looks like this was the first windshield the tech has ever done. The trim around the window was not installed properly and is uneven, and will not drain water properly. I now have to wait another week for them to come out and fix it but I am not holding my breath. read more

I had an appointment scheduled between 12 and 5 on June 17th. At three o'clock I got a call from the technician saying he wasn't coming. No one called me to reschedule or explain why. It is the next day. You can't talk to a human about it because they never answer the phone. Horrible customer service and experience. read more

Had an awful experience with this location, the repair popped off on both sides, and my review mirror fell off after installation. GO ANYWHERE else. This was after three appointments that I had to wait at the end of 8 hours to hear they could not repair my windshield because they did not bring parts! Even talked with a Quality manager that stated the same thing, everything is covered under warranty. Techs were great, this is a management and QA issue for sure. Brought my high end vehicle here as it was recommended by my insurance. They installed the windshield but handed the car back with an error message on my dash. I called their customer service number three times in three days and was told each time why would contact the manager of the store (safelight doesn't allow you to speak with the location directly). 9 days later I received a call from the manager and was I instructed to bring the car back (25 minute drive each way). When it was brought back, the manager acted like they did everything correctly and this was a warranty claim though it never worked correctly after they replaced the glass. I WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone that has a higher end car (Mercedes, BMW, etc) that has safety features in the windshield as it is apparent they don't know how to handle these. read more

Terrible customer service. Scheduled an appointment for windshield repair. After week wait I take the car in only to be told that the repair will be visible when complete. This is not mentioned anywhere on their website. I ask how long it takes for a replacement and I am told 1-2 hours but they don't have the windshield for my car. The lady behind the counter could not have cared less about my inconvenience. No apology for confusion or wasted time. Corporate needs to put her through some customer service training, completely incompetent. read more

I had safelite come repair 3 chips in my windshield. It looks like they put super glue in the cracks and smeared it with a thumb. Its cloudy and smudged and looks worse than before I had it fixed. Called for remedy and was told I could have the windshield replaced at my own expense. Or she could send a tech out to try to scrape off the excess but wouldn't be able to redo the repair. Terrible experience. After waiting 5 days for an appointment and taking the day off work the tech did not show up in the 5 hour window. They did not call but we kept getting emails and texts that they were coming even after the 5 hour window had closed. Spent hours trying to get a hold of someone. They do not give you access to a direct phone for the shop, but we were given the phone number for the tech . Reached out to him as well with no response. Called in the morning to have them come out and they refused due to other appointments and wanted me to reschedule at a later date requiring more time off work. They said they do not take responsibility for any of it. Went somewhere else and the experience was night and day. read more

My experience of replacing the windshield on my 2021 car with Safelite was disastrous. A first, they did not tell me that they going to put aftermarket windshield, so now, on the sunny day, the top of my dashboard at least two times hotter than my door panels. Than, when I came to pick up my car I noticed that cowl panel was not attached to the bottom of windshield and the corner plates were loose - were not attached correctly. There were also missing three plastic clips that hold cowl to the body. They sent the technician, who was replacing my windshield, to discuss the issue with his work. He took picture of the cowl panel which was not attached to the windshield and told me that they will schedule the new appointment to correct this problem. After the second appointment the cowl panel again was not attached to the bottom of the windshield, and when I point this out the other technician who tried to correct original work, told me that this position of the cowl was original when I brought my car for the windshield replacement. He also showed me photos, allegedly, were taken when I brought my car the first time. And I know, that this is not true. read more

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. Some of the worst customer service I have ever received from any company. I came in to get a small crack fixed in my windshield and the woman who was fixing it came in about 15 minutes later to tell me that she had broken my windshield trying to fix the second crack. I had never mentioned 2 cracks being in my windshield and I never gave permission for it to be fixed either. I understand that it can happen even though that was never disclosed to me but she should have never been working on whatever second crack she found in my windshield. I then spoke with the manager who was absolutely awful. She was incredibly rude and had absolutely no empathy for the situation, I actually had to tell her to say sorry about the situation after about an hour of speaking with her. My family and I then spoke with customer care which took her about 15 minutes to find the number for which is odd considering she is the manager. The problem is that they believed I should have to pay for my entirely new windshield that they cracked when trying to solve a problem I did not authorize them to fix. The manager constantly stated the fact that the repair process is meant to increase the longevity of my windshield and hopefully prevent it from spreading. Not sure why that is relevant considering the windshield was never repaired in the first place. They then lied to customer care telling them that the crack that I had originally come in for had already been filled prior to me coming in so the technician went ahead and tried to fix the other crack. First of all I have had my car for about 4 months and not once have I gone to get the windshield fixed and I didn't buy it already cracked either. The manager proceeded to be rude and completely dismiss any and all concerns, she then tried to kick me out of the store because I might deter some of her other customers. I wish I cared whether or not I deterred any of her other customers in fact she should be glad I wasn't telling everyone who walked in the door that they should turn around and go somewhere else. Moral of the story is mistakes happen but when you have no empathy, lie to cover yourself, and are flat out rude to your customers that's a problem. So I strongly advise that you avoid this Safelite, and for the sake of other customers I hope that this location is under new management soon because no customer should ever be treated like that. read more
