We scheduled for a 8-12 appointment, but the tech ended up not showing up or reaching out so we had to reschedule for the following week. Although the first appointment made us apprehensive, the second one went much better. The tech (Joshua), called when he was about 20 minutes out and showed up shortly after. He was incredibly friendly, helpful and informative. The whole replacement took about an hour and he even vacuumed all the remaining glass out of the back of the vehicle. While the insurance paid for the entire repair, the invoice that we received did reflect a price that I felt was reasonable (under $400 for the glass itself and installation). read more

I took my car to the location in Westerville to have the windshield replaced three weeks ago. They replaced the windshield, but permanently scratched the plastic shrouding and also chipped the rearview mirror in the process. I have been calling the location for over 20 days trying to receive a resolution and more details about when these issues will be fixed, spending dozens of hours of my time. They have promised to call back multiple times but have ghosted me. Scheduled an appointment over 30 days ago. First appointment the tech did not show up or contact me. I had to call and rescheduled for two weeks later (noon -5 today.) Tech called at 9:30 am and said he would be here a couple hours early because he only had one appointment.. I told him the car couldn't be here until noon. I was driving on the highway and a tiny rock or something chipped my windshield and created a tiny crack in the middle of it. I was directed to this location after filing a claim with my insurance. I didn't have to pay anything because it was minimal damage. The receptionist was super nice and informative about how the chip might not completely disappear but the repair would be more for structural integrity. We waited less than 20 minutes and the estimated time would be 30-45 min. I was so surprised how quick they were! The actual crack ended up significantly less noticeable and looks like a hairline crack now instead of a chip. They did a great job! I also heard another employee telling a customer how great her windshield turned out. The way he was speaking to her was so encouraging and reassuring. For some reason my review on Google was removed. Interesting. Took my car in on 5/29/24 to Safelite Auto Glass at 11am to get the windshield replaced. Once completed the technician told me everything was double checked and it was good to go. After I left on my way to work it started to rain, I turned on my windshield wipers and discovered they did not reinstall the driver's side correctly. It was about 25% short, so I had to tilt my head down to see during the rain. I called customer service to report it and get it fixed. She was very nice and told me she would send the shop an email and I did not need an appointment. I went back to Safelite at 760 Dearborn Park Lane, Worthington, OH at around 9:30am on 5/30/24. They had no email or record of me calling and I would have to wait. I admit I was already irritated I had to come back and how difficult it was to drive in the rain. I called customer service again (614) 450-1682 to find out what happened. Jay (customer service) told me I needed an appointment to get the warranty work done. I told him I was already at the shop and they were going to get me in. I was just trying to find out what happened. I said, for 935.00, I would think the customer service would be better. He informed me that I do not pay for customer service and the 935.00 is for the windshield replacement, not customer service. I told him, my mistake good bye. I told the store Assistant Manager what happened. Not sure what he could do about it. I then called customer service back to reach someone else (614) 781-5433 and was hung up on before I could speak to anyone. I had to google corporate number and called (888) 843-2798. She was very helpful and also in shock that someone would say that to a customer. She gave me the number for corporate customer care. I believe this is their local corporate office, but I dealt with their mobile autoglass via their website and all the correspondence comes from this office. I got up one morning to find a window busted out of my Escape. After cleaning up a small mess, I proceeded to work and found safelite's website and their mobile replacement service. I filled out the detailed form and it generated an email that told me I would be contacted within 24 hours to schedule my appointment. (I was making an insurance claim so much that that time was needed to contact the insurance company. By the end of the day I had an email telling me the tech who would be coming to my work that gave me his photo and contact information. He called me at the number I gave at the end of the day and gave me a one hour window of when he expected to arrive. He ended arriving right in the middle of that window. He had the correct window and everything he needed to get the job done the first time. It took around 30 minutes. I didn't have to pay a dime, but if I didn't have insurance it would have cost $228 which really isn't bad for the service provided. He did a good job and did a great clean up job vacuuming out all the class including shaking out a towel I had in the back seat on the other side. He did a good job and Safelte worked well with my insurance company so my inconvenience was minimized. read more

Scheduling was easy, and the technician was polite, but the repair to the chip in my windshield is AWFUL. There was a decent sized chip but the technician assured me he could repair it. It's smooth to the touch but the chip is still highly visible and whatever they filed it with has left a brown toned spot on my windshield. It almost looks like spilled coffee on the glass. The stress from the "repair" actually made the chip crack outward. It honestly looks worse than it did chipped! I wish they had been more forthcoming about how bad it would be, I would have just replaced the entire windshield. Now I'm out almost $200 and I need to replace the whole thing for another $500. This was the worst experience I have ever had I took my 2020 Honda ridgeline to get the windshield replaced and they did a great job at replacing it but their camera recalibration was off and my safety systems were completely disabled. My lane keep assist my lane change assistWere all ruined. I came back to this location and told him the problems and they said they fixed it as I was driving back. I noticed they didn't do anything. I came back a third time.I had damage the lower end of my vehicle, but I came back in a third time and asked them to fix it and they said they can't fix it because something of sensors The sensors were just fine no damages at all to the sensors, the vehicle is damaged below the sensors, they had a fake manager talk to me and then tell me how wrong I was. atheist excuse was they can't get into the systems because of a of a airbag problem. They told I need to fix my car first and sensors first. My sensors are just fine it's only the cars body is damage. I'm going back a 4th and if they still refuse to fix it is going to be a a lawsuit. They didn't have the correct vehicle in their system for me. They told me 3-5 days. After 7 days, I started calling. I got disconnected 3 times. I called my insurance company, who patched me through to Safelite. They assured me my glass was tracked to arrive last night or first thing today and I would receive a call to schedule my repair. My recent experience with Safelite was horrible, beginning with the initial call thru 2 attempts to fix a broken side window and a noise because screws were not reinstalled. During the initial call it was important to know whether the needed glass was available. The agent was more concerned about selling me new wipers. As it turned out the glass was NOT available even after an appointment was initiated for the next day. As a result I had to drive 7 hours from Washington DC to Columbus Ohio without a window (luckily no rain) and many hours wasted waiting for the repair (twice). The first attempt at a fix (now in Columbus) resulted in a poor fit. It was blamed on a bad glass part, but I am not convinced. The second attempt, now 10 days after the initial call, was also painful in that the technicians refused to assure me they knew what a proper fit was and how they would know it met the manufacturer's specifications. When I left with the car I immediately noticed new noises. I found 2 screws hadn't been reinstalled. I will fix those issues myself. I don't want them touching the car again. I found everyone involved at Safelite Columbus and the call center very unhelpful (except the lady who checked me in at the desk). If anyone at Safelite wants to learn additional details of this saga then I am happy to discuss it with them. read more

Avoid Safelite like the plague. I had a cracked windshield from a stone chip gone bad on my 2007 BMW. I was rescheduled 3 times because the weather was too cold. On the third time I was not available to be around the car but had my wife be available. I gave the scheduler her phone number and asked to call before the showed up. Not only did they not call her, but they called me and left a message for me saying they were on their way. When the technician got there, he informed my wife that he had never worked on a BMW before and instead of the quoted 60 minutes the replacement took 4 hours. TL:DR Find another shop, save your time. PS: When I expressed my frustration about being reschedule so many times I was told they would make it worth my wild on the price... I told them it was an insurance replacement with $0 deductible... So short story, make sure you are haggling with them too apparently they have wiggle room on their prices. read more

I call my insurance and made a claim due to a crack windshield I have on my vehicle. My insurance provider recommended Safelite on deer born rd. I dropped my vehicle off and apparently my insurance provider told them I have a different glass. JAY kindly responded that it will take longer than what was intended, due to ordering the wrong glass. It wasn't a big deal but due to the circumstance that it took longer than what was intended he took additional $50 off my bill and gave me a glass cleaner. Him and the whole team is superb!
