Wow! Very impressed! Awesome communication was received before, during & after service! Top notch! My windsheild had major cracks from a big rock that fell out of a dump truck. I was concerned as itwas the origianl & it has antenna and rearview mirror conections to the glass. But I received it back in perfect condition. I was able to wait in a clean waiting area. The manager was professional. Appromiate wait time was 2 hours, I got it back in an hour and a half! JOY! JOY! My only complaint was having to watch/listen to CNN in the waiting room...something less heavy would have been more entertaining. read more

I had a leak Kingston safelite replaced my windshield without telling us there was rust so two weeks go by my windshield is leaking again! Would not recommend Kingston they just take ur money! We made an apt in Monticello that safelite told us the real problem took responsibility for kingstons mistake and is trying to help in anyway they can! Very disappointed in this company and how they have handled trying to replace my windshield. It cracked in April and I put in a claim through my insurance using Safelite. They initially said it would be a couple of weeks before my windshield would come in. It is July and I am still waiting for my windshield to come in. I understand that they were supply chain issues, but the communication from this company has been horrible. I have called numerous times asking for updates, and each time they just tell me that the shop they are getting the windshield from should have it in a few days. They never called me back with any type of updates and so I am just left driving around with a cracked windshield in my car. Again, my issue with this company is the lack of follow up communication and transparent understanding of where my windshield is. I even tried their online chat feature to see if I could get a little more information. And all I got was as soon as it comes in will call you. read more

Prompt, efficient, courteous, skilled. Fast work. Had a cracked windshield; got the mobile service. So they came to me. I did have to schedule it a few days in advance. The tech was friendly & got right to work. Only potential drawback? The tech was early & I had missed the message that he was on his way. So that could have been a scheduling problem, but it all worked out fine. Concerned that my inspection sticker now reads 'void' after being peeled off and placed on the new glass but I guess I'll hold the state accountable. The safelite guy provided me with a form to order a replacement. I experienced horrible service from this shop. The tech came out and failed to properly survey the job. He started to hack away at the windshield, then stopped midway through to tell me he was NOT going to do his job and put my new window in due to a tiny bit of rust behind the dash. He also was swearing because my jeep was too lifted and there were no side steps for him to stand on to reach the top seal. Even though I told dispatch to tell him to bring a step stool! I spoke to his direct supervisor whom I also felt was abrassive and unhelpful in resolving the situation. I don't feel I would have been treated this way if I had been a man. However being a small woman they took advantage of the situation, and bullied me. I was forced into making $150 in frivolous repairs to my jeep to a window that is going to be completely glued not gasketed in place anyway. I also spent 2 hours on the phone going up the food chain with no further resolution, and no new window. The customer service with this company needs some serious attention! If they come do my glass the least they can do is fluff my pillow and send some free products for all the trouble the caused me yesterday! I doubt they are that nice though :( smh!!! read more

The windshield of my truck was broken by a rock while driving on the Thruway. Safelite was one of the choices that I had out of about 8 others. Safelite was able to get me in the next day; but because of the technology in my new truck, the wrong windshield was ordered (my fault). But the correct glass was ordered and was available to be installed the next day! Zachary came to my location, explained the entire replacement process to me and after all was done, it looked like nothing happened. My insurance paid for job, and there was no money and no signatures. Just a receipt. While I hope that I don't have to replace another windshield, but if I do, I will call Safelite again, and ask that Zachary come to do the job. TIP: If you have a newer car/truck, do what I did. Make sure that you specify to your insurance agent that you want dealer (OEM) glass, not aftermarket. read more

For a basic every day model car... Safelite is perfect to use. But if you have classics, or a model car that has a vinyl top for instance, not so much. First off their prices are premium prices! They should be able to change any glass. But the techs they hire don't seem to know what their doing if they are hit with a challenge. I have a 2004 grand marquis with a vinyl top. My appointment was scheduled for a week prior to them coming out. You would think the techs would do their research when realizing their doing a car that isn't common. But this tech didn't even know it was a grand marquis, when he called to confirm he left the voice message saying 'hi my name is Steve, I will be replacing your back windshield on your grand prix...' hmm.. I checked to make sure it wasn't my mistake and it was not. I put the correct information in. So tech comes out, takes 1 look at the car and says he isn't sure if he's gonna be able to change it. Calls his supervisor. Supervisor tells him that we will need to take it to a upholstery place and have them take the top off and have Safelite come to the upholstery place to place the glass in. If I had taken this man's advice without doing my own research, I probably would have been paying upwards of about 2500.00 to have my back window replaced!!!! No I went local and seen what our local shops could do, and I found 1 that is gonna charge me 1000 bucks but it will all get done in 1 place, with 1 business..... I can't believe they allow their techs to give advice like this. I am not a person who is rich, I don't have a ton of cash to spend on a car! I have 3 small children! Smh like I said they are good for people who have average vehicles. Anything that isn't average, do your own research before choosing this company! You could probably get it cheaper in your local body shops. I have them 2 stars because even though the price was high the first tech that came out and did our front windshield, he was very knowledgeable, and experienced and he was quick and good. He did his job and then some. So that tech is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. Otherwise it would be 1. This last tech even told me he wasn't sure if he had the right windshield for the car!!!!! Like what? Don't these techs look at their work loads before hitting the road? To make sure they have the correct products? Very frustrating. And on top of all of that, I requested him to be to our address between 8 and 12pm... He tells me he won't be there until 12-3 I call him back around noon he tells me it won't be until 330!!!! So I wasted my entire day, missed work and everything.... They need to think of a more precise way of scheduling.... Scheduling within 3 hour wasted people's time. I was at the address right at 8am, I took the day off just to be there! Just to get told that he won't be there until 3pm! I could have gone to work if I had known he wasn't gonna be around until 330! So they also made me lose a days pay. Not happy at all. read more

I would have left them a 5 Star review for that alone.....but a month later, I had an issue with the seal on my windshield. I walked in, without an appointment, and explained to the tech what had happened. He immediately took care of the problem and was amazingly nice the entire time. A few months ago, I had a stone hit my windshield. Although the stone created an ever-expanding crease that formed in a way that my insurance company didn't quite understand, I was able to persuade them into replacing the windshield. They advised me to take my car into this glass shop for replacement. Although the work was done fairly quickly, the replacement was done efficiently. Although this place doesn't have much seating in their front waiting room, I was able to sit in one of their 2 chairs. It took them about a half-hour to do. They advised me not the rules of washing after the glass replacement. They told me that, although pressure-washing is a definite no-no, washing the glass(due to rain/snow) is acceptable. In the front room, they also had a coffee as well as several jugs of water for their customers. And even though they had some small samples of candy on their desk, I did take a few. As far as small problems with the service they provided me:although the windshield wipers were further down on the cars windshield, after I received the "receipt/bill" for it, I noticed the wipers were further up than normal. Although it wasn't much farther up than would be permitted for inspection, I didn't mind this and haven't taken it in for repair. The work they did was more adequate, and I'll definitely use them again, should the need ever arise for other auto-glass repairs. They have Saturday hours, which is a nice feature, being they close before my work let's out during the week, and they open after my work begins nearby too. I'll definitely recommend people use this business's. Their staff is highly adept in the processes of replacement and, although never used, via TV advertisements, their repair polymer also holds well. Thank you Safelite. The first tech who came out was reluctant to install the glass, because it was aftermarket, going into a brand new vehicle, and he was unhappy with the quality of the replacement windshield. He encouraged me to request OE glass from my insurer, and he'd come back to install it. A second guy came to install the OE glass days later, and was also very knowledgeable and careful with the installation. Both installers treated my car like their own. read more

I called and got an apt to fix my windshield my husband stayed home from work because they give you a 5 hr window, ours was 8-1 well at 2 they finally called and said the van that was headed to us got in an accident so my replacement windshield is shattered... they wanted to charge me an extra fee to over night a new one and said I would have to go to their store to have it replaced. After that whole disaster IT snowed and rained so as I was driving I got soaked from a leak. I make another appointment because now I have water damage in my vehicle from iT leaking. We have an appointment for the next day they call and say they can't do It because we don't have a heated garage. Shouldn't that be something your staff sates while making the appointment !! So we had to rearrange our schedule to now bring my car to the shop. Sit there for 3 hrs. They then tell me that the proper windshield wasn't installed!!! After all that I go to start my car with my remote start, my car doesn't start. I go to my car and it's sitting on the floor. They never hooked up my remote start. Again back there again got them to redo IT. What a disaster. read more

Scratched my car in multiple areas around the windshield and after tried to fix it up poorly with a paintbrush. Stay away!

They did a terrible and sloppy installation. The Customer Service Rep on the phone lied about using factory Mopar glass and the shop used some cheap foreign junk instead. They did NOT vacuum the shattered glass nor wipe the glass from my steering wheel or dash despite their huge sign in the lobby and notation on my receipt stating they would do so. I immediately brought it to their attention and they made me wait 20 minutes to bring the car back in while the tech made a personal call in front of me, leaving me standing there. They did a poor job the second time and left glass on my console and floor after I asked them to revacuum..I told them again, but said forget it, I'd do a better job myself.They also did not contact me to say the car wouldn't be ready by the promised time. The car was finished some 3 hours after the promised time. They also misinformed about which so-called "technician" did the work. They did not clean the exterior glass as advertised, either, until i brought it to their attention. I will never use this facility again. read more
