Making the appointment and then getting the specialty windshield took several days. N the meantime hey filed the insurance claim for us - not their first time doing this obviously- so we did no paperwork which was great. We waited n he car until our vehicle was in queue and taken to the workspace. The waiting area was clean and had a coffeemaker but no cups and had to flll a water pitcher in the communal bathroom. The process with recalibration took several hours. Man people were though quickly since they didn't have full windshields being replaced, staff were very peasant and responsive both in person and on the phone. No issues with control systems so doing another recalibration hasn't been needed. read more

I was greeted kindly and told my approx weight time would be 2 hours. Spot on. Price was better than most places I called by a savings of 800.00 ( Gen.GV80 windshield with Calibration ). I'm not sure why this place does not have a 4 or better rating because the service was great and the bonus cleanliness of the facility was good too. This was not an Insurance claim so cost was important to me. I'd definitely come back and hopefully I will not have too Oh they have WiFi to help pass the time. read more

I have used these guys twice in the past 6 years now. Both times have been amazing. Just Friday I had a rock take a huge hit on my windshield, these guys got it in next day and took no time getting it fixed, and replacing all my stickers and freshener like nothing ever happened. Yesterday, I was going to get mobile service and had my truck in garage for window replacement because it was raining. Xavier came out and said it really wouldn't work because of the clearance. He suggested I come down to the Leander shop. He said they had internet, so I could do my work. Ok, at first I was like ugh.The place is clean and Xavier was ready. He went right to work and it was done quickly. A really good guy and really pleased with the work. Going forward I would take it in everytime if work needs to be done. 1 star -- because 0 wasn't an option. This location is a textbook example of how not to run a business. I had a windshield replaced on my Jeep. The technician arrived about 1.5 hours late -- things happen, and I understood that. However, after replacing the windshield, he said he could not complete the calibration due to poor network connectivity. During the installation, a part on my Jeep was also broken. I was told someone would return the next day to perform the calibration. No one showed up. When I called the shop the following day, they said they knew nothing about it. I then informed them about the broken part and was told it would be replaced and that I would be contacted once the part came in. Three weeks passed with no call. When I followed up, I was told the part had never been ordered. Another three weeks went by -- still no call -- and once again, the part had not been ordered. I am now roughly 8 weeks past the installation, still waiting for my Jeep to be made whole, and currently waiting on a call back from the manager. I've had good experiences with Safelite in Mississippi, but this Texas location has been extremely disappointing. If I ever receive the replacement part, I'll update this review. My advice: avoid this location like the plague. read more

2nd round. My first windshield replacement was mobile and thought it was done sloppily even after the next day trying to fix the problem or telling me I needed to take to the shop to have them fix it. Two months later, I finally made the time to drive there and make an appointment which was quick and easy and scheduled for the following morning. Scheduled for 8:30, Kaden came and got the car at 8:23am and started inspecting and working on it. 10:15, it done. From the exterior appearance with the outer rubber seal, it's perfectly flushed as it should have been the first time. As for the wind sound while driving at a higher speed limit, I will have to drive it for a while to see if it's back to normal or acceptable. All staff were friendly, the shop and the reception area was tidy with a TV, coffee and bottled water available if you chose to wait. And the restrooms were clean. So far, I am very pleased with today's workmanship, thank you! read more

I came in for a chip fill and I left with a "clean" windshield and a dirty car. I take extremely good care of my vehicle. The tech(s) I was unaware it took 3 techs to fill a small crack on the windshield. They were all sitting in the car and leaning up against it causing micro-scratching on my paint. Then when the tech went to clean the windshield, he opened my door and stood right on the plastic with dirty, dirty shoes. Which isn't the bad part, but the bad part is the fact that they didn't even bother to clean it up. I know it's common practice to clean the car windows after filling a crack. The windows were still smudged and nasty looking. Just fill it next time and get gone. Don't try to clean my windows or step all over my new, clean car just to do a sub-par job on my windows. read more

Safelite deserves no stars the worst auto replacement company ever. They sale defective windshield that crack in the heat. I had my windshield replaced by Safelite and two days later installation while being park in my garage for 2 days it cracked from the heat. It was never driven after they replaced the windshield. They had the gull to say it cracked from an impact, but it was never driven, it was parked in an enclosed garage. They refused to replace the windshield; they were rude and unprofessional and told me they did not care if I made a complaint online. I would avoid using Safelite they are the worst. read more

Poor service!! Scheduled a driver window replacement for 08-14. Get a call at 8 that the tech called out. Reschedule for 08-24, get a call at 830, guess what tech called out again. They wanted to Reschedule or mr drop off my vehicle. Asked for a ride home, only one vehicle, "we don't provide shuttle service." Now, I sit wasting a day to get this fixed today sometime before 7pm. Never using or recommending Safelite!! Update: Show up at their location a little after nine. Two people waiting. I was told we can get you started in about 1.5 to 2 hrs...I was like great! 1.5 hrs later they got my keys... tech comes in and talks to the front end person. I was told they ordered the wrong drive's side glass. The right one won't be in until Sept 3 and rescheduled for Sept 7 install. I was called before by original appt. and was told they order glass by VIN. I asked are you sure you don't need a picture of the glass info on the window. "Oh, now we will have the correct part." Had them come out to fix a small (maybe 5mm) rock chip on my 2024 Mazda. I've done a few chip repairs myself and they have all come out pretty good. However, I mistakenly wanted a bit more of a professional job this time. Whoops. First, they make you sign a waiver that if they damage the windshield in anyway whatsoever then they are not responsible. Haha. Yeah. The tech was friendly, but after he was done with the Safelite-mandated machine and process, the visibility of the chip was only slightly reduced. I'd give it a 20% grade for the result. Each one Ive done on very similar chips with a cheap $15 repair kit were all in the the 80-95% range. With 100% being undetectable. And, once its done, you cant really do it again to make it better. So now Im screwed. I paid for it and didnt even get dinner. Do NOT use this company for windshield repairs. You've been warned. read more

Its difficult to actually speak with a live person and when I finally did she gave me some lame excuse about them not having the parts. I asked when was someone gonna let me know? She said we did. Mobile tech damaged our brand new car during glass install. Long story short, trying to get the damage they caused fixed was all on me , following up repeatedly. the glass they installed was damaged so they replaced it. Only to keep our registration sticker and then mail it to us stuck to the inside of envelope so it's not usable. I did ask for them to mail it so I would no longer have to deal with them in person since they were incredible rude last time I was on site. It never occurred to me that they would not know to send it in a way to prevent sticking to the envelope. Feels intentional. I'll be following up with my insurance to let them know they need to reconsider their partnership. read more

Negative 5 stars. I would only use this location if you like being disgusted with yourself for ignoring other negative reviews. I made an appointment earlier in the week for a Saturday drop off. I got about 5 emails and about 7-8 text messages leading up to this appointment to remind me when to drop it off. I drop it off and was told they were busy (Why did I waste time making an appointment?) and that it would normally be done by 5 but it probably wouldn't be ready until 6pm (They close at 5pm). I said that was fine since I was going to be out all-day running errands. I decide to call them at ~4:30 to check on things. I was told the car would be ready at 5:30 by the call center. So, to be clear I made an appointment only for them to not touch my car until the end of the day. At 4:45 they called me to tell me they couldn't do the job because my car didn't have enough gas in it for recalibration. I was also told that this was in the email they sent me. It wasn't part of the appointment process, and it wasn't part of the check in process, but it was in one of the 5 emails they sent me, apparently. It was totally my fault that I didn't read every detail of those 5 emails (Fully admit that was my fault) and it was made very clear that this was my problem and not theirs and if I wasn't at the location to pick up my car by 5:30 they were going to keep it locked up for the entire weekend. During one of the very frustrating calls where they were telling me this is all my fault, I asked them to just leave the car outside with the key as I was on my way. At this point the service agent told me that she made it clear that I was expected there by 5:30. Funny about that is I wouldn't have known that if I DIDN'T MAKE THE CALL MYSELF to ask! During this frustrating conversation where I'm trying to have them not steal my vehicle, I made the mistake of saying "This is bullshit!". Apparently, I offended the poor girl and that is where it all went off the rails. It would have been nice for the appointment to have some value because they could have called me earlier about the low gas instead of waiting until 15 minutes before they closed. Again, totally my fault (seriously), but a I would think a customer focused business would try to help a customer correct a mistake before they close. We did make it on time to get my car, but this location isn't focused on customer service in the slightest. There clearly is no reason to make an appointment because as long as you get there first you get taken care off. Otherwise, it is a crap shoot. Use this location at your own risk. read more

All I can say is WOW!! The way the team members talk around customers is insane. Four workers standing at the desk talking about how they don't care how they treat customers, I think one was a manager because right after their conversation he started telling them to clean. I was amazed since I'm a paying customer. The girl at the front desk answering the phones, hung up on a customer after yelling at him.( It scared me) I do understand that some people can be rude when dealing with broken windows, but no one has a right to yell and slam the phone down. I am very disappointed at their behavior! I told my husband to cancel his appointment for Monday and find somewhere else to fix his windshield. SafeLite has been terrible to work with. It took them 3 weeks to come to my home after the big hailstorm in September. I was patient because I knew a lot of people were impacted. The day before my appointment, I used their online chat to push my appointment out by a couple of hours. Then I received a call from a tech to reschedule my appointment. The next day the tech shows up and started working. The tech proceeds to cut his hand open so they picked him up send 2 more techs to finish up the job. They left and had to come back to get glass from another truck for their next job. 3 hours later another tech that drove from an hour away shows up to do the replacement. Later I inspected the job and the rubber seal around the windshield was torn, wiper blades weren't adjusted correctly and the rain sensor wasn't working. I scheduled an appointment to drive my car in to get it fixed. They adjusted my wipers and fixe the rain sensor but didn't have the correct rubber seal AND they broke the plastic piece that covers the wires for the rearview mirror! They said they would order the rubber seal the the plastic piece and give me a call. Here I am 2 months later with no call back. Today I tried to call the shop to get a update but I can't get through to a person. The recording on the line said they were busy, go online and make an appointment. SafeLite is terrible I do NOT recommend them! read more

SafeLite has been an absolute joke to work with. I have had two separate appointments that they have failed to keep. Once because they said the vendor didn't have the glass and they were having to order from out of state. For the second appointment, the staff contacted me the day before to confirm the appointment and then, for unknown reasons, completely failed to contact me or show up to install the glass. If you attempt to contact them, you get put into an automated voice system and can never get to a real person. If you really need to have glass work done, do yourself a huge service and choose literally ANY other company. read more
