I ended up fixing the issue myself with touch-up paint for a fraction of their quote. Now I have an unnecessary CARFAX entry that could affect my vehicle's resale value. I find it inappropriate to report declined estimates to CARFAX, as it implies work was actually performed. As a side note, I was also concerned about their privacy practices. While waiting in the lobby, I witnessed an estimator having multiple speakerphone conversations with clients, broadcasting personal details to everyone in the reception area. The clients clearly had no idea their conversations were being shared with other customers. While I've had positive experiences with Rife's Westerville location in the past, I cannot recommend the Grandview location based on these practices.

They did the repair and sent me on my way. One day later the newly repaired window fell down into the door and wouldn't come back up. As it was winter time, I brought my car back in, they took the door panel off, and told me that the regulator for the window had been bent and would need to be replaced. Mind you the only way to reach this piece of equipment was to take the panel off with tools, which they had just done a day before. When I asked how this could have happened, they told me "You'd know better than I would." Of course they had bent the regulator themselves during the course of their repair a day earlier. They insisted on charging me full price for a new regulator and wouldn't refund any of the original window replacement price. This effectively doubled my price of repair, rendering my choice of the cheapest shop available pointless. If this was the end of the story, I'd be likely to move on and chalk it up to a hard luck loss. Unfortunately they did a shoddy job on the second repair and the window fell back down into the car door once again later that week. I called them back, they seemed shocked, and told me to bring my car back in for a third time. I refused to pay for any further charges and they agreed. In fairness their third repair worked fine with no issues to this day. However, having wasted five hours total dealing with them, sitting in their shop, incurring an additional expense due seemingly to their negligence, and sub-par workmanship, will keep me from coming back here and caused me to write this review. Save yourself considerable hassle and added expense and take your car somewhere else for a window replacement.

I was heartbroken -- I'd only had one season of adventures in it, and it had a unique custom package that meant a lot to me. Rather than replace it, I made the decision to restore it, and I'm so glad I did. Bill at Fine Line was initially surprised by my choice, but he was incredibly thorough in explaining the repairs and costs up front. Once he understood how much the van meant to me, he was fully on board and handled the project with care and respect. He kept me updated throughout the process and made sure to get my approval on a few adjustments along the way. Shushana was always so friendly and welcoming every time I stopped in (and I'll admit, I stopped by several times!). She ensured I had all the paperwork I needed for my final state inspection, which the van passed with flying colors!
