I had a bullseye chip about 1" in diameter that he drilled out and then installed the sealer machine. After the procedure the chip was filled and now you can barely see a small blemish. My rear glass was shattered in Deep Ellum late Friday night. I called Safelite to schedule the earliest available appointment, which would be Monday. Worried that my glass would completely shatter and make a mess within the next 2 days, I brought my car in to get the glass crash-wrapped to keep everything in place. Brought my car in 8am on Monday, was out of the shop before 10. The whole process was fairly quick and painless. Everyone I dealt with from Safelite was extremely friendly. As for pricing, Safelite was one of the cheaper quotes I had received. Although it wasn't the absolute cheapest, I decided to pay an extra $20 and go with a more well known company. Really not impressed with the office staff. I went online to book an appointment for a cracked windshield, I was nearly finished with the paperwork when it asked me for a vehicle number. I looked everywhere for it and couldn't find it. I decided to go to the shop. The two people in the office told me they had never heard of a vehicle number. I told them that I had nearly finished the paperwork and had chosen the $350 service with free replacement wipers. They went online and told me it was going to be $440 with no wipers. I told them that price was $90 more than the online price with no free wipers, They explained to me that since I had to come to the shop the price was higher, WHAT? I wanted to do it online but the Safelite program wanted a vehicle number and NOBODY at the shop could tell me where to get that number. Anyway, they REFUSED to give me service unless I paid the shop price. Let me assure I am not an idiot. I did not pay the price and they did not get my business. I had them come out and fix cracks in windshield. I had asked for 3 to be fixed and even marked them so they knew which ones I wanted fixed. They only fixed 1 of them! They did fix the worst one that was spreading, but I had specified that 3 needed to be fixed.. I guess I'll have to call them again when those other 2 start to spread ! My husband and I both got our windshields hit by rocks on the highway. Fortunately my husbands was far enough down you could not see it from inside the vehicle. It was a nickel sized chip and we scheduled for a repair, they couldn't come out for another 2 weeks after it happened and they showed up late - outside of the 4 hr window already given. The chip was good for the 2 weeks we waited for a repair and now after they "fixed" it, it's spread almost up the entire thing, from bottom to top! After some [insert expletive here] decided to smash my car window in with a golf club I called my insurance company and they suggested I make an appointment with Safelite in Mesquite. Excuse me? Mesquite? Do you know how far of a drive that is for me? Okay, sure, whatever. I'll go. I arrive this morning and they got started on my car right away and told me it would be done in 30-45 minutes. The wifi password was posted on the wall next to the Keurig with cinnamon roll K-cups. I helped myself to both. They finished quickly and told me I was ready to go. A beautiful man told me they vacuumed up all of the shards of glass that I I left there because looking at them just reminded me of the [insert expletive here]. I felt bad for them because, if you know me, you know my car is a hot mess. Bless their souls. BUT THEN I get in the car and it's SO CLEAN. My belongings are in the seat and for once I could actually see the floor in my car. Holy snickerdoodles. They really didn't have to do that, and because they did they probably should have charged me more. I wouldn't have blamed them. But that made my day. Avoid at all costs, even if your insurance pushes you to use them (they can't make you only use one company) The Tech "worked" on fixing a small crack on the bottom of the windshield (less Than the size of a quarter and not cracked all the way through) for 10 minutes then showed me where he fully cracked the window half way up (over a foot long). Then he has the nerve to tell me that he is charging me because he "worked on it". All he did was make it to where I have to now replace the full windshield when it was fine before. Got a replacement windshield, and the metal rear view mirror mount on the windshield was UPSIDE DOWN. Then I tried to remove it with a heat gun and wire and it popped off WITH a chunk of glass to come with it. So I had to get the dealership to remount it lower that it should be with a big ol chunk of glass missing on top of it. And come to find out THE MOUNT DOSNT EVEN FIT THE OEM REAR VIEW MIRROR HARDWARE. WHO IS IN CHARGE IF THIS STUFF? ARE THERE NOT QUALITY CHECKS!!?!!!! read more

I made an appointment with Safelite for mobile service repair of my windshield chip. The repairman placed a dirty greasy mat on the hood of my car and then a tool bag on it. I watched as he went to the other side of the car and dragged the mat and tool bag across the hood of my car exposing a deep scratch across my entire hood. When I told him that my hood was scratched he asked "did I do that?" I sure am glad I was standing there to witness this...plus my office building has it on security footage. He told me to go get an estimate and that they would take care of it. I was also told that a manager would contact me immediately...haven't received a call. Accidents happen...but in my opinion..NOTHING should be placed on a customer's hood unless there is a very good reason. Taking this advise will prevent other people's cars from being damaged like mine was today. And...if you have to put something on the car...make sure it is clean and do not ever drag it. I realize mistakes happen...but in this case...I can't give more than 1 star due to the overall situation and the lack of a manager promptly contacting me. read more

Insurance claim, $100 deductible. They came to my job and replaced it in a timely manner and the windshield is perfect. Some black windshield sealant got on my interior A pillars...(the pillars that hold the windshield) which are white. This is understandable bc of the angle and space at the bottom of the windshield. I took my car to a satellite location to ask for cleaning solutions, the guy immediately said...No, we will relace the A pillar interior pieces with OEM parts. I just bought a brand new Kia Soul, literally less than 100 miles on it, when a semi kicked up a piece of rock that put a huge chip in my brand new windshield. Distraught, I made an appointment online and headed into Safelight. I had never had a chip repaired before so I wasn't sure what to expect. They were ready for me at exactly the time of my appointment and Lucas was my technician. VERY friendly and took time to explain the process, show me what they were doing, etc. Washed my front and back windshield and rearview mirrors for me and gave me a complimentary can of glass cleaner. I found a coupon code online for $10 off, which helped, but I was in and out in about an hour and everyone was very friendly and smiley. They have complimentary soda, coffee, water and small snack items in the lobby while you wait, but if you indulge toss something in the donation jar to help keep it stocked! VERY pleased with the work they did and my 'bad chip' looks like a tiny white spot on the windshield now, barely noticeable at all. A+ service and they make you feel taken care of. read more

My windshield would still be broken if I hadn't been so persistent. I went in to get a quote, was given one. I gave the make/model of my vehicle INCLUDING THE TRIM level of my vehicle. I went online to their convenient scheduling system, answered the questions, including the make/model/trim of my vehicle. Had my appointment, and followed their directions, "you can wait or drop off your vehicle". I dropped it off at the scheduled time which I was then told it would take approximately 2 hours to complete. 2 hours later, I receive a phone call stating, "I'm sorry, we are going to have to special order your windshield due to your particular make/model of vehicle". I was perplexed since PRIOR to my appointment they had the exact make/model/TRIM LEVEL of my vehicle for them to be ready to provide a service that I needed. When I went to pick up my vehicle with an unrepaired windshield, the manager was very nice, said that he would order me the windshield straight from the dealership, and I would be receiving a call when it was in to take in my vehicle again, oh, but that there will be an additional charge to the windshield since it needed to be special ordered. After much discussion with the manager, he said that he would make it right still charge me the original quoted price. 4 weeks later, I am still driving around with a messed up windshield and decide to go in to the store. I speak to the manager, and he couldn't believe that I hadn't been called. He thought that I was already taken care of. Promised me that he would call me back the following day. I informed him that I went in so that if they hadn't received the windshield yet, it could be in by the time I was needing to take my car in. He did call me the next day as promised. Said that the windshield was ordered and someone will CALL me to schedule the service. ONE WEEK LATER, I had not received a phone call! At this point I was furious. I called the manager, no answer. I called the store and the assistant stated that he had no knowledge of what was going on with my case and that the manager was going to be unavailable for several days. He stated that he couldn't get me in the next day, it was one excuse after another. I had to get very angry, not take no for an answer and even ask to speak to a district manager. By the following morning, I was informed that a technician was on his way out to get my windshield replaced. The technician was very nice, helpful, and ensured that I was taken care of. The reason I ended up giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the technician I worked with and how great he was ensuring that I paid the original price quoted. read more

I also tried to call customer service line and was on hold for more than 20 minutes. I would have gladly rescheduled if the tech would have called me. I scheduled an appointment to have my windshield replaced on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. When I set the appointment I was told it would take about 3 hours max to have my windshield replaced. I completely understood and dropped my car off before work. The car was dropped off at 9am and when I called at 3:30pm they had yet to work on my car. The unprofessionalism at this branch was shocking. I was told I would not be compensated in any way shape or form for my time and the fact I now missed an auto show due to the lack of professionalism at this store I would definitely not recommend. When I picked up my car due to no work being done I was told by a woman in the counter we had all day to work on your car when I was told 3 hours max. No empathy for their clients nor did they care for my time. I would definitely not recommend and I would rather pay more to a competitor than ever bring any of my vehicles nor recommend family friends or colleagues to this establishment. Let me start by saying that this is not the only company I have used to replace my windshield. First, I scheduled the service online declining some of the services. I received a call the night before because they wanted to make sure they had the correct part. Even though I restated and voiced my concern about not knowing what I needed, they came the following day with the wrong windshield. I had to wait until the following week to have my windshield replaced. I waited a couples of hours before driving it and even after a couple of days, I still felt that the windshield was not properly replaced. I called customer service so they can send someone to look at it and told me I needed to take the car to the shop.
