I had to ask them to repeat several things, unfortunately, then the person hung up on me abruptly. I realize that it's aggravating to have to repeat yourself. While they were able to complete the windshield replacement quickly they could not provide a timely receipt, and after several calls and days to get them to send a receipt. Was this incompetency or just a lack of a business fundamental, i.e., provide a receipt to your customers for the work done so they can submit to their insurance company. So my car got broken into on Monday. I called them in the morning, and he quoted me a reasonable price (I shopped around, and he matched the lowest price I found elsewhere). Especially because the lowest price I found was for used replacement window, and he was installing a new one. He even called to check if my glass was dark or clear, because he wanted it to match. He had already gotten clear glass and went back to get glass that matched, because he wanted to do it right. Super friendly and convenient! How do you beat your car repairman coming to you? My car is pushing eight years old, and while it's been very well-cared for, parts of it still fail. So, while driving on some AWESOME East Dallas street, with my car twisting and bouncing, a crack appeared at the bottom of the windshield. Fast forward a week, and with a combination of more Dallas streets, some crazy temperatures (I think that contributed), and probably just age, I had a crazy twisting crack halfway up my windshield that I didn't want to get on the highway with. So I called around and mostly get quotes in the $250 - $300 range. Glass Genie told me $195, and they'd come to ME. AND, they were mostly ON TIME. And the guy was nice and friendly and agreeable. I called and said I needed to get my Rogue's windshield replaced ASAP, they sent someone out in less than 2 hours and I got a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to them showing up. Ever since coming to Texas from California, the roof of my car has had a minor leaking problem. After a week worth of rain a couple weeks back, my car was basically. I wasn't sure if it was the windshield, but I relayed my worries to Glass Genie and they said they'd help me out in no time. I had called over the weekend when they were a little busy, but by Monday, they were at my house and fixed up my car within about an hour. Not knowing anything about windshields, they could've easily charged me to replace my entire windshield, but they simply remedied the solution without replacing the windshield and helped me save some money. I told them that a previous glass company had just cancelled on me and he told me he would place my order and have someone out first thing Sunday morning. Great company. Friendly, responsive, and provides great explanation for the fix. This time of year is brutal for me at work, so they had no problem doing the work on Sunday. Probably not anyone's favorite day to work, but they were incredibly accommodating. My wife had 3 chips on the windshield of her E320. Two of the 3 were fixed as if they were never there. On the 3rd glass chip, they asked if my wife had tried getting it fixed previously, and to my surprise, she did about a year ago. Due to the bad attempt by a different company, it wasn't fixed as well as the others; however, they tried extremely hard to fix the poor efforts of another company. I am writing this review to warn customers of poor workmanship and customer service of Glass Genie. My passenger window was replaced by this company and the window would not go down properly. My window trim was damaged badly which would allow weather to go into my door and window. I ended up fixing it myself (easily with a haynes manual) and asked for a refund for only the material. The owner pretended to oblige but gave me the runaround for weeks with no compensation. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

I needed a new passenger window after my car was broken into. The dealership said it was a special order part and would cost over $500. They took over a week to get it and install. I called Glass Genie they give came same day service would be finished by 2:30 pm! The cost was less than1/2 of the dealership and finished in an hour. This has to be the worst service that I can think of. I had them replace my driver side window due to a break in. Two guys came out to do the service. Once they were done, they told me to wait a couple of days before I operate my window that it would take some time for the window to cure. I waited the two days just to find out that my window now struggles to go up and to also go down. I contacted the company and they said they would let their guy know that a service call was needed. After not hearing from anyone, I tried again to contact someone. I finally got a call from the installer just to put me off until the next day. He never showed. This went on for a few days of putting me off agin and again. Now they will not even answer their phone . But they have my money and so I guess they win. If you have a broken window, I would suggest not use the glass genie. Also they claim to be guaranteed for life....I can't even get them to guarantee it for one week. Quite honestly the worst experience in customer service and performance I have ever experienced. After doing an incredibly poor installation, they gave me the runaround about repairing the damage they did to my vehicle in the process. They left the interior dirty, left the adhesive visible and messy and permantly damaged the molding. Each time I called, they pretended to be concerned and let me down. Go with another installer.
