AVOID AT ALL COST. I brought my car to Safelite Auto Glass in Mesquite 2 months ago in August to have my windshield replaced and as of today, I still have a broken windshield. Manager Chris Alba personally gave me his direct contact information and assured me that the replacement glass would arrive "that week." That was weeks ago, and despite multiple attempts at follow-ups, I've been completely ignored. It's incredibly disappointing that a business can take the insurance payment and then fail to complete the service or even provide a basic update. The only way to get in touch with anyone at the shop is to be there in person. The only reason I didn't give this location 1 star is because my past two experiences here were handled professionally. Got my windshield fixed on my Mercedes-Benz, and I was a little skeptical at first since some reviews show some negative stuff. It looks really good, looks brand new, and it was also a very good price. All the places I went to get a quote were asking $400 and higher, and Safelite was the best price since it only took 2 hours. Extremely satisfied with the experience here. The building is clean and organized. The waiting area is large and comfortable. Most of all the staff was very friendly, professional and most of all kind to the disabled. The installation was performed with no problems and the installer kept me apprised of exactly what was going on and what needed to be done following installation. I've been using Safelite for years and have always had great service. I prefer the convenience of mobile service, but it was fully booked a week out and I didn't want to risk my windshield crack spreading more.... so I opted to do it at their shop. Upon entry, I was greeted and mentioned I made an appointment.. from there the technician came out and looked at the damage brought the car in for window repair... about 20 minutes later the service was completed. You can no longer see the small cracks from the chip which is amazing. YMMV depending on how damaged it is of course, but the integrity of the windshield is back! Find any other company to install your glass. Initiated service on 1/15/25 with an appointment for 1/18 and I prepaid. I arrived only to be told my windshield had not been delivered from the warehouse. Would have been nice to have been told before driving over there but I let it slide. I get a text message a few days telling me I'm scheduled for an appointment. I didn't request that day or time so I contact them and reschedule for 1/27 when I do have time. I get a call 30 minutes before the appointment informing me the windshield is damaged so another one has to be ordered but it will be in that afternoon and they will call to reschedule. Weeks go by and I call on 2/15 - 30 days after my initial contact only to be told they still don't have the windshield but they will follow up with me on Monday. Well Monday came and went and no one has followed up. This place does not understand customer service. Avoid them and go anyplace else. read more

Went this morning to get a rock chip filled, service tech, Chad, did a great job filling it, you could barely see it afterwards...Also, Dawson was the gentleman who helped me tremendously by giving me a jump afterwards, as my car battery was having issues. Very kind of him to take time out of his day in the sweltering heat to help me out!! Went to this location about 3-4 years ago for full windshield replacement. I recently got a small chip in my windshield while driving in the freeway and wanted to get it sealed quick due to the recent fluctuation in weather in Texas and not wanting it to spread. Luckily I was able to get a same day appointment with safelite which was amazing. This was my first time having a chip so I was unfamiliar with the exact process but the staff made it stress free for me. The phone operator was patient, informative and super helpful throughout the whole process. She even helped me file a claim with my insurance. When I got there Gonzalez was my technician and I was quite pleased with her. When I showed her the chip she explained the process on how it would he fixed and gave me a time estimate. She had a smile on her face the whole time and a positive attitude which was refreshing. It ended up only taking 30 minutes, so not bad at all! The lobby was the only thing I was not impressed with for this visit. It was quite small and uncomfortable. There was some AC unit or something that was not only an eye sore but extremely loud and obnoxious. Luckily I didn't have to be here long or else it would've drove me crazy. Hopefully I wont have another windshield problem anytime soon but if so I now have a reliable place to go. read more

Good service and follow up by technician. My windshield was replaced quickly and properly. My only complaint was the strong arm sales I received to purchase windshield wipers. I was solicited when I made an appointment, three times by email, and twice when I dropped off my car. I am so disappointed because I Paid $500+++ unsatisfied with the quality of the windshield. For just 2 months it cracked and it didn't covered the warranty. I came to have the wind shied of my 2014 Lexus ES replaced. Making an appointment was easy and someone called to make sure I did not forget my visit. Although my check in was at 10am, my car did not get worked until an hour later. The work was done well and the repair man answered all my questions. However, the positions of my car seats, rear view and side mirrors were all completely shifted (passenger seat was completely reclined) which I did not appreciate. Also no one told me about the additional wait time, let alone apologize for it. It's basic courtesy. In short, they got the job done but customer service is lacking. read more

Called them back out and the second technician said an took pictures that the windshield did not have glue applied on one side of the windshield that he would fix it and manager would need to be notified. Called the store in mesquite got in touch with a manager and they said they needed me to bring the car in for them to exam. I have to say, no one really likes any type of car repair. Its inconvenient and boring to sit and wait. But I had a rock chip in my windshield and it needed to get filled, so off to Safelite I went. I was quite impressed with the manager and the technician. Both were super nice and informative. I was also impressed that they made the chip look so small. I was scared they wouldn't be able to fill it and I was going to have to replace my windshield, but to the normal person, they would probably never notice that I had a chip! The waiting area seemed to be clean and organized also. The magazines were in neat rows, the coffee station was clean and offered a Keurig instead of a boring big stale pot of coffee. I did not use the restroom so I'm not sure of the condition of those. I'm thankful that Safelite fixed my windshield (and that my insurance paid for it!). read more

I had Chad as a technician and literally had no issues. Dropped off my car at 9 and had it done by the end of the day because I chose the drop and go. He stayed after close to hand it back. They really need to work on their time estimates. I arrived early for my appointment. Was told it would be "2-2.5 hours"...I walked across the street to kill time at the store. When I came back, my vehicle had still not been started. That was over an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment. I went to have a small chip in my windshield fixed however their repair turned into a large crack. They came out to my house to fix the entire windshield. The job seemed fine however upon closer look there was small shards of glass on the floorboard and I got to find out in the middle of a downpour on the highway that my windshield wipers didn't work! Tried calling and emailing several times but heard nothing back (for some reason they don't answer phones because of COVID). I couldn't get anyone back out to fix the windshield wipers for a week making my car not drivable during our Texas spring storms. Find someone else, this company doesn't really care. read more

This is not a reflection on the technician that worked on my car (he was amazing and very helpful) this is completely about the managerial staff and their customer service. 10/10 I do not recommend this location. Vehicle was damaged during installing. Not a problem accidents happen. It's how they handled the situation that is annoying and their lack of communication with not only the customer but each other. The manager didn't notify me my car had been damaged until he saw me looking at my vehicle from inside the shop after they Had already installed the glass. Then he doesn't flat out tell me the vehicle was damaged it was "we are going to have to set you up with a rental Monday". I look confused then he points out the damage and tells me the suction up failed. Again accidents happen. Manager and technician tell me my card won't be charged until repairs have been made and I have my vehicle back, ok fine. Monday morning 9 am rolls around no one calls me I call them. Get the rental set up not in the city I live in like I was told it would be. Get to Safelite assistant manager tells me " your card didn't go through" yeah because the manager stated it wasn't supposed to be and I blocked it. Checks with the manager and he confirms. However before I get my car back my card is charged. When I questioned it the response was "there is nothing we can do, it's already been charged". Fast forward to picking up my car. No one comes out to say anything to me a about the repairs and the lady at the front desk just hands me my keys. I wish I could give them a 0 star. I like Safelite that comes to you great. This location and they way they talk to people and "handle" their customers is horrible. If I ever have to get my glass replaced I will just drive to Plano or Dallas. read more

Then 20 minutes later, they called and said the price would actually be almost double the original quote and I should probably file a claim with my insurance. Three days later, they left a message that it would actually be almost 3x the original price they quoted me. On Saturday, 08/18, I got my Mini Clubman windshield replaced by Safelite. The whole process was a piece of cake. My dealership was going to charge $700-800 for the replacement and Safelite was so much less at $445. My appointment was at 9 am and I was out of there at 10:30 am. Matthew was the service tech I worked with today. He explained the steps that were needed to remove and replace my windshield. Matthew did a pretty darn good job. He was friendly and nice during the entire process.
