When I came in for my first appointment, they said it would be 1.5-2 hours. I waited 30 minutes before they realized the replacement windshield had a crack in it. When I came back for my rescheduled second appointment, it took them 4.5 hours to complete the job. Since I was waiting for my car to get done, I observed they kept taking walk ins during this time. Management is not running an efficient business and didn't have a reason for running behind except for that they were 'doing the best that they could'. This place needs to stop over-booking the schedule and be mindful not to waste customer's time. Do not recommend. read more

Came here to this location to get a little crack in my windshield fixed from a flying rock. My insurance told me it would be covered but a few days after the repair, they said it was not covered. The man who works at the desk called me to say not to worry about it as it would be covered through a promo. Well, that is pretty cool and we appreciate it! The whole time I was there waiting with my kids, he was very accommodating, offering my kids snacks and cartoons. We will definitely come back for future repairs. Highly recommend them! I had a small chip in my windshield repaired with Safelite. The whole experience was good overall. The person on the phone was courteous, and the online system made it very easy to reschedule my appointment when I couldn't make my first one. The staff were nice and my technician explained the repair process thoroughly. He advised that I might be able to tell that the chip is still there after the repair, and I appreciated the honesty and upfront explanation. The repair went off without a hitch and I was on my way in about an hour. My insurance paid for the repair on full, so there was no cost to me. read more

Rarely do I post a negative review; however, after my experience with 3 different vehicles on 3 different occasions with this location I must. If one customer has the same poor service three times, the problems at the location are systemic and pervasive. The first time over a year ago they ordered the incorrect glass and asked me to reschedule at the center. I did and not enough technicians came to work so I had to reschedule. Which I did. On the second vehicle 6 months ago I made an appointment, that had to be rescheduled because someone didn't show up to work. The repair was adequate and was water tight but visually was substandard. I'm not sure why I even tried last week, but they are local and I thought maybe after this amount of time their issues were fixed. They billed my cc for the repair earlier this week. The appointment was today and they were to come to my location. I received a text and email with my technician's name. When the phone call came, someone else related that my technician did not make it to work today and that another technician quit this morning. I could reschedule in over a week. I could make an appointment tomorrow if I could bring it in. I did then cancelled. There are more professional places that are not as close, but when I called were professional and helpful. Can't imagine how Safelite allows this franchise to continue to give their company such a bad name. read more

I used them a week a ago to repair a really bad crack from a rock that hit my car on the way to work going down I-95. I was really worried about pricing and finding the time to get the crack repaired. Once I got to work I got an instant quote online and scheduled to get fixed the same day it happened. The great thing it only took less than an hour to repair and the technician, Brad, was really pleasant and knowledgeable. Plus, by the time I got off work my windshield was repaired and I was on my way. I was happy that I didn't have to spend my weekend off in auto glass repair shop. Windshield replaced over a week ago by the Pooler, GA location. The passenger side pillar flew off an hour into a road trip last Thursday. Pulled over and called Safelite right away. The 1st rep told me to go to the nearest Safelite which was Macon, GA and they could fix it in an hour. After I hung up I decided to call Macon to be sure. They informed me they could not. Called Safelite back and they set an appt for the location I was traveling to. Because the part needed to be ordered they couldn't come til Saturday. Saturday came, they had no part and was only coming to look at the car. I had to return to Savannah so they made an appt for the Pooler location but advised me to call them to order the part ahead of time. Called Safelite to simply get connected to the Pooler branch since there's no direct number on the site. After making me explain my issue, I got no where. I asked for the direct number, she said no, I had to go through her. After a 45 minute call the rep said she had to hang up and call me back. She never did. I called back got another rep, she tried to connect me but there was no answer. She however gave me the direct number . I called and no answer, no voicemail. The first call was at 10am. I tried several times up until they closed. No answer. My appt is Tuesday. But without the part they won't be able to fix it. They said the pillar is cosmetic. That may be but if that wasn't put back properly how can I trust the wi Daniels installation? That pillar flying off could have caused a wreck. AND my car is new! I'm driving a new car with a very visible piece missing which is embarrassing. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed. And I will not stop until what's broken has been fixed. read more

The staff was incredibly nice and courteous. Lobby was clean and comfortable. Although I wasn't able to get in immediately after my truck was broke into, Safelite was able to provide a "crash wrap" on the window to keep out the elements. If I could give zero stars I would! What an awful company. What started out as a windshield replacement has turned into a nightmare. Windshield was replaced, but never sealed. Water leaked and started damaging things. Seal was put on. Seal was put on incorrectly causing more water damage. Drove to a safelite store on a Friday and they scheduled a water check for Monday. No one ever showed up. So I drove to the store again Monday and had them search for a leak. Manager said it was my AC condenser Which in fact was not, there were 2 leaks. Manager never came back to talk to me (we were there 4 hours!) They replaced entire windshield and seal (one point for finally doing something right.) But wait...there's more. I now have to take my car to get serviced and they will have my car for a few days. I have 2 kids in car seats and need a vehicle to get around. So I call safelite and ask if they can get me a rental. They "schedule" a rental on a Wednesday and I was told I would hear something from the manager (Lee) later that day. Well Wednesday went by, Thursday, Friday, the entire weekend! So I called Monday, no answer the first time. No answer the second time. Third time I get told he's in a meeting (that's the 2nd time I've been told the manager was in a meeting, once he was at the bank and another he was in the restroom.) So I waited for a call back because I was told he would call me. Nothing. So I called corporate. Spoke to someone who said yes a rental was scheduled for this Wednesday (a week after I originally called and he said it would be handled.) Now its Wednesday, I've been up since 6am with my kids and drove an hour and a half to drop my vehicle off. Now there's no rentals available. Because they made the reservation THIS morning!! I've been on the phone for over 2 hours with rental company's, coorporate safelite and safelite store. Once again though I can't speak to the manager because yet again he's in a meeting!!! I've been sitting with 2 kids and 2 car seats since 8:15am (it's now after 11am) and no way to get home!! Safelite is awful and I hope to never use them again!!! I got a chip in my windshield on my drive down to Georgia and stopped in at this Safelite branch to have it repaired. I made an appointment through my insurance company which was extremely easy and when I came in they immediately began to repair my windshield. The techs said it would take 30-45 minutes to complete the repair but I was out of there in less than 20 minutes. The staff was very polite and extremely professional. I hope I don't get damage to my truck's glass again but if I do I will definitely take my truck back to this Safelite branch to have the damage repaired. read more

Three days later and I'm still dealing with the inept, pass-the-buck-on-our-fail "service" of this place. Russell came out to fix a pit in my front windshield and, while replacing the glass, cracked the replacement glass he installed - and, in addition, bent one of my windshield wiper blades, to the point of non-function. He informed me he'd be back in two days to replace the cracked windshield; not great to have to drive with a 7" crack in my front windshield, but ok, I'll deal. When no one showed up at the appointed time I called Safelite, to be told that there was no order for service - that the claim was complete and had been closed! Uh, no, this needs to be fixed. The earliest we can come out is in 5 days. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was handed over to Tom Ford, who basically played "This isn't our problem, that's the quickest we can do the replacement and, no, we're not paying for the windshield wiper that won't work." Unreal! So now, three days later, I'm having to go to a new windshield place, AND pay my mechanic to fix the windshield wiper stem, with the hopes that my car insurance will reimburse. One of the worst experiences I've had with a Savannah area business. And, if you check the most recent previous three reviews of this place, you will see I'm not alone. I was upset because I was on my way out of town and the manager suggested I drive with my drivers side cracked windshield, that it wasn't a big deal. I was never given an apology. The technician although nice, botched the job on my Lexus IS 250 now I am having to have it redone in Miami. Thank God I was not hurt. The technician was ill prepared and under skilled to complete the job professionally making it safe. He did not show up with necessary things (failed to bring molding for my car) but went ahead and did the work anyway, I am not not even close to being an expert so I did ask him a lot of questions but from his body language and expressions, mumblings to himself seemed like there was an issue so I asked and he no problem he would get the job done-I could go on but I think you get the point. read more

My insurance company scheduled an appointment to replace a broken window on my car. I had to take time off work to take my car to the appointment. The service was very slow at arrival. I had to drop my car off. I return this evening to discover the window was not replaced because they did not have it. What a poor way to conduct business! Got a huge Crack in the windshield and came to this place. I was the first in the door at 0800 (with an appointment)and I left around 1015. Staff was mostly nice but didn't really acknowledge me when I walked in. The guy who did my windshield however was awesome, really nice, informative, and took the necessary time with you. Everything was good but I had a huge defect on the replaced windshield so the manager who was super awesome, gave me a warranty and schedule another replacement. Three days later, Hector comes. Poor management of tech and poor workmanship. The technician that worked on my truck left mud all over my running boards and interior floor from standing on them to fix the windshield chip. When I went into the office to ask for paper towels, I asked the tech if she was standing in mud. She agreed but did not offer to clean up the mess she made. The receptionist made no comment at this time. I left the office to clean the truck. When I came back in, the receptionist asked me if she wanted me to have the tech vacuum the truck. This was after I cleaned it. I told her no and asked how I could file a complaint. read more

My technician was great and called me about 3 1/2 hours prior to my appointment time to see if he could come by earlier but I was at work so he drove 1/2 hour to come repair my windshield. So awesome! But the next morning on my way back to work I noticed that the glass was cracking coming from the repair. I now have a 1 1/2 foot crack coming from one side of it and the other side extends about 1 1/2 inches. Now I have to buy a new windshield. read more

Had a rock hit my windshield on a Wednesday, I called my insurance company and they forwarded my call to Safelite, Had an appointment for that Saturday at my home, got a call around 10 a.m. saying they were understaffed and could we wait until Tuesday between Noon and 5p.m., I said no problem I understood about being short handed, well, Tuesday came and I waited and waited and waited 5 p.m. came and went no call or text giving me an update on the status of my replacement. I called my insurance company back they again forwarded my call to Safelite corporate, the person I talked to reviewed the status of the tech. and they told me he had put in a message that he was thirty minutes out but could not tell when the message was entered, at that point I told them I would find some one else to replace my windshield. About 10 minutes after that call the local Safelite office called and told me that the windshield had a bad scratch in it and that the tech. should have called and Informed me about it, I didn't understand because corporate had told me that he had put in a message that he was 30 minutes out, they should have communicated with each other to get their lies straight. I will never use Safelite and will never recommend them to anyone. BTW I found some one to replace my windshield with OEM glass and was $100.00 cheaper. read more

Avoid this store at all cost if you value the safety of your family and good customer service. The service is substandard and the manager insist on lying to the customer. More than 2 weeks elapsed between my mother's original appointment and the service. The original appointment was a no show. The company failed to call and the manager became combative when confronted. This company was assigned to me by USAA. As an active duty service member, I expect good customer service from any one USAA recommends. The exact opposite was true of the entire staff. If you are a service member, please avoid this company. Nothing good will come of doing business with this location. The company ordered the wrong windshield, failed to show up and left my mother in 90 degree weather for more than 5 hours. So my wife's windshield had a chip in it that had been repaired a while back. It finally spiderwebbed and required replacement. She contacted Safelite and was given a quote for a mobile repair since she told them she would be at work. The guy arrives, first thing he does is drive into a parking garage after my wife offered to move her car for him and damages his van. It happens, no big deal. Well then after completing her replacement he presented here with a bill much higher than the estimate. Terrible Service. The ordeal is still not resolved. They replaced the windshield on my truck on August 1st. They broke a piece of molding and just left it lying in my driveway. They also left the ceiling fabric hanging down behind the windshield on the passenger side. They were supposed to come back on August 11th to correct their terrible service but they never showed. I wasted five hours waiting around for them. They never even contacted me to say they would not be there. I am seriously considering legal action against them if they don't fix this and compensate me. They charge labor for their time but they act like they can waste mine without consequence. Took my 2013 CR-V there as my window was broken during a burglary. Was recommended by my insurance company. The tech that did my work did a half job. He left glass in the door and told me it would work its way out the drains. When the door was opened and closed you could hear the glass rattling. I had vacuumed the car some but he never vacuumed up the remaining glass. I was so mad about this half done repair that I left. That repair deserved a one star but after I cooled down and called the store manager he took care of the situation and sent a tech to my wife's workplace. This guy was more professional and corrected the situation. I might do business with them again. However, I will not let the tech that did the sloppy job get near my vehicle! read more

Made a glass claim through my insurers automated claim center and Safelite was recommended. Made an appointment for windshield replacement a week ahead of selected date. The day before my scheduled appointment, Safelite cancelled my appointment stating the windshield was on back order with Honda. No one bothered to see if the windshield was available before allowing me to make my appointment and allowed 7 days to pass before notifying me that they canceled my appointment. I took off time from work to have the repair done and notifying me last minute that the glass isn't available wasted not only my time but also cost me money. Someone is supposed to notify me when the windshield is available. That was 3 weeks ago and another company has already ordered and installed the windshield. Safelite dropped the ball with their incompetence and Allstate should really reconsider using them for their internet claims center suggested business. read more

Other potential customers beware of this place. I called up Safelite to replace a windshield on my Honda Accord and I waited as they replaced it on Dec 18 2018. Everyone at the facility prior to me getting my windshield replaced was great. The problem is that once you or your insurance pays them they (Safelite) will drag their feet about coming out and fixing any issues that you might and will have with your windshield. My windshield wipers for instance where not put back on and calibrated correctly as well as the outside molding around my car is still coming up to this day I am writing this review. Their technician did come back out a few days later to correct the windshield wipers to the best of their ability but I still have my molding coming up. What gives Safelite? The clips were supposed to be ordered and yet here we are on the 29th of December still waiting to get this issue resolved. It didn't seem like you guys wasted time taking my money. You guys are a rip off and thevies. I have called countless times even the nationwide customer service gave you guys a call yesterday and a email with no pick up. Is this how you treat customers? You guys have no respect for following up with your customers and I hope that this robbery of a company gets shut down asap. I will give a updated review if and when they get my car back to normal. I recently had my window replaced and found the experience to be very frustrating. We paid a service fee for the technician to come to my work parking lots and the originally scheduled appointment was delayed because he brought the wrong parts. Then the window was finally replaced only to leak and flood the entire car at the first rain. We called immediately for the window to be fixed and are forced to wait a week with the car flooding at every rain. I would not use the company again and am very disappointed. read more

Showed up at my home to replace the windshield 9:30 a.m.. He had the replacement windshield but no molding so no installation. Said he would try to do the job later in the day and would call at 3 p.m. to advise. Called at 3:45 p.m. and said he would not be able to do the replacement today. Said next available installation day was in 4 days. I asked about a sooner installation as they had created this problem. I was told that I would be at the end of the line and still said the next installation date was 4 days away. I have already waited around the house for installation for one day now I was asked to give up another day. There was just no desire to step forward and help solve the problem that they caused. I cancelled the order and called Glass Pros and got a set appointment for the next day. This is not a company that wants to take care of a problem. The installation man was polite just ineffective.
